Bobby Long Mentions Robert Pattinson In An Interview With Limelife

The singer/songwriter talks sudden stardom, American girls and the dangers of being friends with Robert Pattinson.
Did you think Robert Pattinson was the only cute Brit who shies away from interviews? Last week in New York we caught up with singer/songwriter Bobby Long, a Twilight soundtrack crooner, longtime friend of Robert Pattinson and member of the ever-higher-profile "Brit Pack" that also includes actors/musicians/longtime Pattinson mates Tom Sturridge, Sam Bradley and Marcus Foster. Bobby Long is preparing to release his first studio album this summer, and if it's anything like he says it is, then you want to start downloading Bobby Long now.
Bobby Long's "Let Me Sign" for Twilight and "Who Have You Been Loving?" from his first album Dirty Pond Songs have put him on the map in mainstream music and in front of, yep, gaggles of female audiences who are screaming to ride the British boy bandwagon. In the basement of New York's famed Mercury Lounge, we thought Bobby Long couldn't get any more candid...until he climbed onstage.
LimeLife: I know you're good friends with Robert Pattinson, and two weeks ago he was jokingly shouting your name for Marcus Foster to play some Bobby Long.
Bobby Long: The funniest thing about that right, is just that...it's just a few mates joking around. All that was is just Rob enjoying himself at his mate's show, right. Like, before my show, a mutual friend will shout out, "Play a Marcus Foster song" or "Play a Sam Bradley song" or something...like, "Play a song by Cher."
(More laughter erupts around the Mercury Lounge basement.)
Bobby Long: It's just winding each other up. It's just a friendly thing. And then Rob's getting criticized for it.
LimeLife: I don't think it was criticism. It was just a fun story when we reported on it.
Bobby Long: But the comments on it! He hasn't been criticized by the media, but criticized by people. I read [one comment], it said, "He's a bastard." It's just like, "Oh, f*ck off." That kind of stuff is funny. I just laugh. It's something to show your nan, that's all it is, then you get back to your day job. It's just funny that someone reports that and sends it off, that someone spent 15 minutes of their life reporting it.
These are only the parts where he talks about Rob. You can read the full interview here and here

Mexican ‘Reforma’ Interviews Robert Pattinson - Scans and Translation
It's short and sweet!

Translation and scans thanks to Twilight Poison
Life, seen from a very realistic way, is , as time goes by, a chain of loss, considers de American filmmaker Allen Coulter. According to the director of The Sopranos, there’s people that get strength when they are in grief, and then there’s people who get lost in their pain, without expecting anything or anyone to rescue them.
‘”It’s a movie about life, and it has a love story too. It’s about the relationships we have as human beings with the people around us who we love.
“It’s about loss, how we handle grief, how it affects us. For many people, loss becomes part of who they are, and sometimes in order to overcome a loss we have to let part of ourselves behind as well; these are very rich emotions to explore and they contradict each other.” explains Pattinson, who is also the executive producer for Remember Me.
“Filming in New York was completely insane. The paparazzi are the worst, the whole time they screamed my name trying to get me to look at them so they could take a picture while I was working”.
Do you think this is the character that most resembles who you are in real life so far?
I don’t know. I think you always try to relate to the character, make it your own, and make it feel real. You reconstruct the character and you look for elements that you can relate to the most.
In that case I see things in Tyler that I wish I had.In the movie Tyler gets in fights all the time, and I wish I could throw a punch like him, but I’m not like that at all.
I’ve been beaten up a few times outside bars. As far as rebelling, I always worry because I never went through that phase as a teenager. I’m afraid I’ll become a rebel now, with no aparent reason.
Our chat with the superstar took place at the Regency Hotel in Manhattan. The actor came in the room surrounded by a team of publicists, assistants and body guards.
Downstairs, in Park Avenue, a large group of paparazzi guards the place and tries to snap a picture of him with his “girlfriend” Kristen Stewart, his co-star in Twilight, who he prefers not to even mention.
How do you manage to find peace with all the attention you get?
I spend a lot of time thinking of ways not to be seen, which is messed up, but in the end it’s worth it because if nobody knows where you’re going, they don’t wait outside the restaurant, and you can enjoy life. I’m not saying it’s not cool when people ask for my picture or my autograph. What I can’t stand is when people try to get something out of my image. But I manage to escape sometimes.
I can imagine it’s even harder when you’re dating someone famous like Kristen.
(laughs) It’s hard either way. You have to accept that it’s part of your life, and it’s something that comes with the territory.

Pattinson Will Take a Pub Over A Premiere

You won't see heartthrob Robert Pattinson spending money on extravagant homes or fancy cars or flitting from one red carpet to another.
"That’s not my scene," he told me at the recent BAFTA Award ceremony in London. I’m more than happy to do the normal things and buy the things I bought before all this madness kicked off."
In fact, the 23-year-old actor, known among British media as "Our Patz," said he was stunned to open the tabloids and find pictures of himself "buying underwear at my local store."
"These guys must be hiding in the rails or something," he said of the paparazzi. The star of the "Twilight" movies, born in West London, said, "I didn’t go into acting because I wanted to be famous, I got into acting because I loved the creation and the making of good credible drama. Fame is just an extra added on."
Back in London to film "Bel Ami" with "Kill Bill" star Uma Thurman, Pattinson admits that he is unsure of what to do at premieres and other red carpet events. "Although I like meeting fans and love the response from them," he said, "I’m far happier going down to my local pub, having a drink and sitting chatting to friends. That’s when I’m most relaxed."
Pattinson also expressed admiration for his "Remember Me" co-star Pierce Brosnan, known to audiences for many years as cinema's James Bond.
"You get to learn so much from these people," Pattinson said, "and Pierce has always been an acting hero of mine."

Robert Pattinson In Bravo Magazine - Translation
We posted the scans here yesterday now here's the translation thanks to LetmeSign.com
“IN MY OWN WAY I'M ROMANTIC”
In Remember me we see him bringing to life a boy Tyler both beautiful as problematic. “It was a new experience for me. Until then he had never played a character so more common.”, He said during an interview at the Regency Hotel Ny. It was during this conversation that we learned that the actor has experience in it to deal with the problems of everyday …
Bravo: In this movie you have an aggressive role. Was it hard?
Robert: No, I really understand the anger that Tyler has against himself and against life in general.
Bravo: But you seem to be calming down a bit …
Robert: Looks can be deceiving (Laughter). In my adolescent stage I found myself in these situations, though, I have not noticed it .. even tooka punch in the nose (laughs)
Bravo: Have you ever won in these fights?
Robert: No, neither before nor now (laughs). When we shot the Remember Me, what went into physical confrontation turned to laughter. It was a pain in my hands and they do not feel anything.
Bravo: You lose control with ease?
Robert: Generally not. And I’m lucky: with my characters Ican express the anger that has accumulated.
Bravo: And what causes this anger in you?
Robert: I hate that people make judgments of the value I have about myself!
Bravo: People tell that you are romantic, irritates you?
Robert: No, that’s true. in my own way I am romantic. I love the eyes of a child who is not influenced by negative images.
Bravo: The film is about good and bad things of life. Do you think the good can end?
Robert: Yes, so I try to enjoy the present to the maximum. The future remains to be seen.

Emilie DeRavin Tells Us What It's Like To Kiss Robert Pattinson
Now Emilie if you're trying to make me jealous you're doing a good job of it! ;-)
From Uk's Cosmo:
Lost’s Emily De Ravin, 28, locks lips with RP in her new film, but says work comes second. Job swap, anyone?
*Tell us about the finest men you’ve worked with – included Johnny Depp and Robert Patinson…
- Johnny Depp is one of my favorite actors. When we met on Public Enemies he was genuinely nice. The Lost guys are too, and Robert Pattinson couldn’t be more of a great guy. He’s insanely talented, but I don’t even think he knows that.
*Were you intrigued to be working with him after all the Twilight publicity?
-I didn’t really know who he was! I’ve never been a tabloid reader or a person who follows what somebody is going to the grocery store for.
*You can’t have escaped the Twilight phenomenon though?
-The fan base is wonderful. But shooting with Rob in New York was crazy. There were girls climbing all over him, which did make things difficult. He’d been through it all before but it was very new to me. Because the majority of fans were teenage girls. I felt like, ‘Oh, God, they all hate me.’ You walk out and they’re like, ‘Who’s this girl with the guy we’re here to see?’ but then they saw me smiling, and they we’re like ‘Oh she’s actually nice!’
*You got to kiss Rob too…
-That was a very spontaneous thing actually, which tabloid-wise came out as us making out on the beach, but really we were filming.
*And now you have to say he’s a good kisser, right?
-(Laughs) It’s in contract, yes.
*Who is the most famous person in your phone?
-I guess Rob’s is the obvious choice.
