Gossip Round-up

First is from Lainey (who is a total bitch about Rob and I shall not post a link, no hits for her from us!) I have deleted the parts where she insulted Rob. She was at the Grey Goose party:

Some girls like chests, others like a great ass, some prefer arms, I’m a hand girl, and also…the back of the neck. It’s a tricky area. A neck too thick and it can be a dealbreaker. A neck too thin is pin head-y and weird. A neck with odd directional hair can be… I can’t even go there.

But the back of Robert Pattinson’s neck is perfect. His hair tapers to a lovely pretty peak and then it just stops. No strays, great skin, boyish but not childish. So there. That should get you cougars quivering.

Finally, I did run into Pattinson at the valet. He’d been texting. At this point he had on a black leather jacket and there was an young aunt-ish (your uncle’s second or third wife) looking lady with her arm looped into his and she was cold so he was like – come inside, warm up, you don’t have to stand out there, and I remember thinking to myself: is that how high his voice is?

Later on we saw him at the Standard.

Ok how unlucky am I today? I was at "a store" on Beverly Hills to visit some friends before my hair appointment down the street. I stayed for about 30 minutes then ran off. My friend who works at the store texted me an hour later saying that he just left and she couldn't call me while he was there. I just missed him by a hair. He must be getting his tux for the Oscars. Robert Pattinson threw some serious vampire magic late last night at Coach & Horses pub in Los Angeles.

When the Twilight star showed up with a group of friends at the British-themed bar after 10 p.m last night "the girl I was working with freaked out," bartender Peter Renaud tells Celebuzz.

"She went over to his table to serve him. He took it upon himself to introduce himself and shook her hand. And it happened. She turned into a five-year-old girl," Renaud says.

"From her reaction, he's clearly as hot in person as he is in film. She was too shy to really say anything to him."

Pattinson, in town to present at Sunday's Academy Awards, hung out with primarily British friends for about 2 1/2 hours. Heineken was the drink of choice.

"He was pretty much left alone, it was dark and they chilled," says Renaud. "Just booze, nice music and conversation."

Other than that old age-transportation-trick pulled on the bartender perhaps the only remarkable moment of the evening was when one of Pattinson's group fell off her barstool. "They all had a good laugh about that," says Renaud.

Oh, and one other note: Robert if you are reading this, your friend Zeb left his hat at the bar.

Robert Pattinson has landed!

Our favorite Brit boy is here in Hollywood. As you must know by now, the Twilight star is going to be presenting at the Academy Awards on Sunday. (Nope, his costar Kristen Stewart is not expected to join him.)

So what's he been up to since he got here?

Mr. Pattinson was spotted in Beverly Hills yesterday, followed by dinner at Grey Goose night at the new West Hollywood outpost of London's famed Italian brasserie Cecconi's.

He arrived by himself (how much do we love that he doesn't travel with an entourage?) at about 8:30 p.m. and enjoyed the cicchetti, the eatery's signature plate of Italian tapas. "He ate dinner with friends and hung out in the patio area," a fellow diner reports.

I hear he'll be rehearsing his Oscar gig on Saturday afternoon at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.

Gozde:Uhoh! How many people will line up just to catch a glimpse of him? He really is back :)

Celebrity Mundane: Rob goes to the Optometrist

Getting new contacts for New Moon? I sure hope so! Knowing how much he hated wearing those contacts it would suck for him to have to wear them all the time.

As Juliet once said to Romeo: A rose by any other name would smell as sweet. Now, modern-day star crossed lovers Bella Swan and Edward Cullen are getting ready to carry on with their cinematic love affair. But will the second “Twilight” movie smell as sweet now that it has a brand-new name?

MTV News has the scoop on the official name and logo for Chris Weitz’s soon-to-film sequel to “Twilight.” Dubbed “The Twilight Saga’s New Moon” (although the title treatment leaves off the “’s”) the film’s official title art stays true to the look of the first movie while swapping in an orange tint, a subtle crescent moon, and the release date of 11.20.09.

Although the look of the new logo will undoubtedly get Twilighter tongues wagging, it’s the five-word official title that is the most prominent variation from Stephenie Meyer’s simple “New Moon.”

With roman numerals now considered taboo in Hollywood, and sequel names like “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer” and “Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li” in vogue, it makes sense that Weitz and crew would label the future films as “The Twilight Saga.” At the risk of reading too much into five words, it also seems to imply that “New Moon” will boast a more epic feel than the first movie.

As for the logo itself, Weitz has chosen to stay with the lowercase lettering, personable font and light-streaks-poking-through look of last year’s hit film. In switching from blue to orange, the movie’s upcoming posters will be instantly distinguishable from those of the original “Twilight” – which should make them look a whole lot cooler when teenage girls all over the world add them to their walls. The presence of orange also begs a new question: Now that blue and orange are taken, which colors should be used for “Eclipse” and “Breaking Dawn”?

It’s one of the most anticipated movies of the year. It’s the next installment in a worldwide phenomenon. And now, it’s called “The Twilight Saga’s New Moon.”

No "Never Think" and no "Let Me Sign" on New Moon = No Soundtrack sales

Come on Rob! We need some of that sexy mumbling on New Moon soundtrack. Just "back it up" :))

TWILIGHT star ROBERT PATTINSON has turned down the chance to contribute to the soundtrack for the vampire movie's forthcoming sequel - because he wants to keep music as a back up career.
The British actor is a talented composer, pianist and guitarist and wrote two songs for the original movie, helping the soundtrack top the U.S. album charts upon its release last year (08).
But Pattinson insists he's now taking a backseat to rockers Paramore, who are penning the title track to the movie's sequel, New Moon - because pursuing music professionally was never his intention.
He tells America's OK! magazine, "I really didn't want it to look like I was trying to cash in. Music is my back up plan."
