With the Cannes Film Fest announcements around the corner (April 17!), it's fun to see The Rover continuing to pop up on lists. Summer is usually characterized with superheroes and oversized, CGI-laden action flicks. But thanks to Rob and co., our superheroes will be Rob and Guy and our action will be grittier and more real.

The Wrap has joined the summer lovin' for The Rover and included the film as 19 out of 50 on their list of 49 (they can't count) Summer Movies On Our Radar!



Oooooooo the positive buzz gets me movin'!


But before our Summer Of ReyRob hits, Cannes buzz is basically a....


We have Variety including The Rover again on a Cannes Wish List (15 Movies Our Critics Hope To See At This Year's Festival) and the French press (Le Figaro; Paris Match; Les Inrocks; Premiere) is including not just The Rover but also Maps To The Stars in their Cannes predictions. It seems like just yesterday that Rob was 27....wait...he still IS 27! But he'll be 28 soon enough and it's time to start prepping for the big day!



We invite you guys to submit sweet words of awesome for Rob that we'll put together in a birthday tribute video for May 13th. Here's what you do:

1. Choose a picture or yourself that you'd like featured in the birthday tribute video. (HERE is the awesome post we did featuring all your messages a few years ago)
2. If you're picture shy, you can still participate. Pick a picture of Rob, artwork, a cave that looks like your personal DR dwelling *wink* and that can be your image.
3. Type a message on your image that you would like to share for Rob's birthday. If you need assistance, Kate and I are here to help. Just submit the message you'd like for Rob's birthday in the email and we'll add the message on your image for you. 
4. Email your image and message to birthday@robsessedpattinson.com
5. DEADLINE: Thursday, May 8th at 12pm PST

According to this casting post (from March 4th) on Cafe Bilingue’s Facebook Page it is!

"Child casting cinema for Brady Corbet, THE CHILDHOOD OF A LEADER's first film, produced by the British company Unanimous Entertainment, we are looking for: A little boy between 6 and 9 years, bilingual in French and in English, to play the lead role.

His parents will be played by Juliette Binoche and Tim Roth.

The film will turn this summer."

Has anyone got a little bilingual boy I can borrow? ;}
