Fan Reports from Pre-Screenings of New Moon and Remember Me

A few of our readers went to the advanced screenings of New Moon and Remember Me. Here are two of the reports ;) Remember Me will be released on March 12th 2009 and only 6 days to New Moon!

Remember Me:

I just experienced “Remember Me” and I have to tell you that we haven’t even begun to tap into Robert Pattinson’s talent as an actor. Rob showcases his ability to be thoroughly methodical and cover the entire gamut of human emotions and condition in “Remember Me.” To see Rob be sweet, funny, pained, maligned, and protective to the point of being paternal, are just some of the treasures of this film. I won’t divulge too many details but I must tell you that Rob as Tyler Hawkins, is as pure, organic and truly moving as I’ve ever seen a young actor be – his talent is bountiful and we are all blessed to be able to bear witness to it. I'm a proud Rob fan, proud fan of film and a proud fan of remember me.

New Moon:

New Moon is really, really a great movie. The pictures are amazing, and the actors are better than ever.

The pain of Bella, the pain of Edward, Jacob's transformation… Everything is perfect.

The script is very close to the book, with more action, more visual scenes off course, because it's a movie, and you have to keep the audience awake ! ;-)

I have one critic maybe : because they've tried to keep all they could in the movie, some scenes are going very fast, sometimes too fast… But Chris did manage to create wonderful transitions from a scene to another. He has such poesy in his way of filming… It's incredible.

Rob is more handsome than ever I think. Very painful, very dark, but so close to the character !
Kristen is perfect with her pain, her despair, the hole in her chest… I love her.
Taylor does a great job too. I can't accept that he is so small as Jacob, but finally he fits the character with a great sensibility, maturity.

I can't talk about the music, it didn't hit me. I think I prefer Carter Burwell's score. But I have to watch it again to be sure… I had so much to discover, to absorb…

I think that New Moon's fan won't be disappointed. They will find everything they loved in the book.

Nice report. The fact that Taylor isn't super tall has always bothered me a bit, but I'm sure I'll deal. And personally, I do not see how the soundtrack will work with the movie, but then, what do I know? So excited tho! 5 more sleeps!!

where and why were they pre screening of Remember Me and New Moon? How did people get to see this?

Talking about Remember Me, not major spoilery, but stop reading if you don't wanna hear.

I saw another review on Live Journal of Remember Me that was a little less enthusiastic. The person took issue with his accent and his facial expressions, and hated the end. She said overall it was OK. But I do appreciate her honest review. I think the one thing widely agreed upon was the sex scenes were HOT!

here is another review from someone else who also watched the screening

Tyler is a very complicated and challenging character and I think Rob did great portraying this character. We were able to witness another side of his acting. I am excited for him and can't wait to see evolve in his future projects.

Although, he still has a lot of improving to do. He does this weird thing with his face (maybe it's his acting mannerism) where he looks like he's constipated. Don't you dare tell me that you don't see it cos he does it a lot in Twilight. If you disagree I will gladly point them out to you. I think this is what bugged me the most about his acting. He needs to loose this habit. His American accent was okay. It would change from time to time. I noticed that his British accent would slip a little and I could hear his Salvador Dali accent as well.

I am so friggin' excited for RM!! and to read the review that said after viewing they were a proud Rob fan...well, I'm not at all surprised, but it makes me even more impatient to see it :)

I didn't mind spoilers for NM because I've read the books repeatedly, I know what happens...but I haven't read the script for RM and I know there's some kind of big twist at the end, so I REFUSE to indulge in spoilers for this one!! I hope I don't have to gouge my eyes out to do it, like folks pretty much had to for NM! LOL

so, I'm sure Gozde will say the same, but just like Rhonda did, if anyone is gonna comment with a spoiler, please warn us first so I can quick squint my eyes and scroll on! thanks :)

@RPLover - I couldn't agree more!

I saw Remember Me and the love scenes were beyond amazing. There was certainly no fear that Tyler would kill Ally with his lover prowess! :)

I completely disagree with the livejournal review about Rob's acting and mannerism. He feels the pain of the character and makes the audience feel it,too. Rob was phenomenal in this film - truly.

DON'T READ THIS POST IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERSish..

i don't want to ruin this for anyone.
but apparently.
i heard that there's 3 sex scenes between tyler and ally.
and one of the scenes is like some angry hot and frustrated wall sex..

; )
