Everyone wrong about Nicole Kidman and Robert Pattinson pairing up
ScreenDaily.com announces in a headline today, “Pattinson, Kidman board Bel Ami for Protagonist,” and goes on to report, “In an intriguing star pairing, Twilight sensation Robert Pattinson is teaming with Nicole Kidman to star in Bel Ami, the film of Guy De Maupassant’s erotically charged story of ambition, power and seduction.”
The story was picked up EVERYWHERE.
So is it true?
Well, yes, it is based on a novel by Guy de Maupassant, and yes, Pattinson will play a cad.
What’s NOT true is that Kidman will star opposite Pattinson. While she did consider the project, the film’s timing didn’t work out. Kidman’s rep told Gossip Cop that “Bel Ami” is “categorically not happening for her.”

pity--I think that would have been a good choice.
I want to me in Bel Ami!
Well, on one hand I"m a bit sorry as it would be nice to see Robert playing in one movie with Nicole as she is one of the biggest actresses, or at least one of the most famous one.
But, on the other hand, an actress not that much older than Robert would be better I think. Somebody already mentioned today one of the choices,that is Rachel McAdams,I think she would be really great together with him,but we just have to wait and see who it would really be...

I feel so much better. I have nothing against NK, it's just that I'm hoping the info regarding the shooting date and place was also false.
I'm still hoping he will shoot it in Paris for 3 months starting in January.
More objectively, I think the atmosphere in the book is very parisian and it would be wierd to film it elsewhere. Not sure they can capture the whole thing.
I'm glad he is not doing this film with her although I would like to see him with an older woman on screen.
It would make my fantasies a little more realistic.
I'm glad it's not NK. Nothing against her as an actress at all, but I can't see her with him in this particular role.
I stumbled across the script online (who knows if it's final or whatever) but there are like four or five women he romances/beds in this thing so I am REALLY looking forward to seeing who they cast!
I'm kind of curious about the Director/s though. It seems like the name that has been floated has never done film (?). Only theater. Ooo. That could be an issue.
Thank God for that! Kidman in this project was all kindsa wrong...
