The boy gives good promo, gotta give him that. He is a team player through and through. Hope Summit realizes just how lucky they are.

It was funny how nuts twitter went over this message from Rob.

Gotta love him.

D. said...

Eeeeeee! Of course we're looking forward to Eclipse - it's more Robward time!!!

katie said...

lol, Nick probably penned it--there's too many CAPITALS everywhere...lol

Brie said...

Hummm...okay...considering how Rob is SOOOOOoooooo against tweeting....Does one think that Summit is doing their best at damage control??? Very Sad...I highly doubt Rob had anything 2 do with this tweet...IMO..its Summit handlers or his mgr...Rob in NYC enjoying himself...as he should ans rightfully deserves! Pecae out all!

Loisada said...

Katie... hee hee! Summit rep probably penned it, but he had to agree to have his name on it! He will not bite the hand that feeds him, respectful and smart...

Brie said...

oopsies for the spelling errors in my above post...hopefully u get the jist sp? hehehe!

katie said...

oh yeah, I think they probably phoned him, asked for a quote, and someone wrote it up. It's awkward and stumbling, so I'm sure it's him...:) lol

Anonymous said...

hmmm wow, wonder if he really tweeted this, we should ask Peter? No poor Peter is always stuck being the messenger LOL

Marna said...

Gee, do you think it could be a little less personal? Wouldn't want to be able to tell if it really was Rob, or some Summit employee.

Anonymous said...

I thought he said that msg on PFach's twitter would be his "first and last tweet". This sounds a lot more like Summit than Rob...

qiupang said...

He is sooo sweet.

mohnmarzipan1 said...

I actually highly doubt aswell that Rob had anything to do with this Tweet. How incredibly lame of Sumit to use Rob's name there only to earn even more with him... It just doesn't sound like him. More like something one of those media trainers (Rob HATES...) would want him to say. So, if I'm right it's also quite respectless towards Rob fans who might really believe it's him who's tweeting.

By the way: Does anyone have an idea why Rob is still in NYC/what he's doing there? You would have thought that he'd gladly fly back to London, his family and friends after all those month away from them all. Or is it just that KStew might still be in NYC as well?

lallieb said...

Yup, maybe they phoned him and wrote it up or NOT. I just have to say that I am getting really fed up with all the "suits" at Summit, and especially the gossip rag mags making big bucks off of Rob's image and anything he says, this seems espcially egregious. IMO, Rob needs a new manager.

katie said...

they did this last year. They had "kristen" and "robert" write a thank you note after the first box office weekend, and then had them announce new moon was a go.

Did they write it? Probably not. Would they have someone at least tip them off what will be said ahead of time? Probably. These notes and tweets are probably pre-set in advance to be honest, and most likely with the blessing of Robert and his people.

Interesting that this year, it's only Robert communicating with fans, since he is the main cheese.

gracefulgrace said...

God I hope that wasn't Rob. Bit different from his last tweet. "My dad made me do it" LMAO!
I love me some fumbly, mumbly, giggly, puts foot in mouth Rob. So adorcable. He doesn't do that so much in interviews anymore. I love his leg pulling humour. I'm hoping this was summit doing it on his behalf while he's out beering it up. If not it might have been them telling him what to say. I get the feeling they are winning out on telling him how to act in interviews. Remember when he had to go for media training (or what ever you call it) and hated it.

Steph said...

As exciting as it is to have Rob tweet (although I would rather him stay away from twitter altogether), I have a feeling that it's not really him. It seems like such a Taylor/Summit thing to say.

kittykat said...

Kristen just tweeted her 'Thank you'...

D.M. said...

I don't know, maybe Robert just wanted to thank the fans. I mean he probably simply decided to make an exception, to show his appreciation.

Or maybe Summit has a hand in it. But I think that either way Robert probably just thought it would be nice to thank the fans. hmmm...

So I say if it is really genuinely Robert (and I hope it is), then it's so sweet!
*it makes me melt a little*lol.

And yes we are looking forward to Eclipse and lots of Robward and Edward/Bella time!

RPVN said...

As much as I appreciate Rob or anyone taking time to tweet these lines (if that anyone asked Rob first for permission to use his name), I think the tweets don't sound like Rob's. I'm quite sure that if he had written it hisself, it would be something much humorous, witty, not only tactful as these tweets are. Just watch his interviews and we all know that.

Katie said...

I highly doubt this came from him. Summit practically owns him right now and they could put his name on it if they wanted.

kittykat said...

Um, hello... Kristen is tweeting now... She just verified that it is indeed her 'tweeting'....

D.M. said...

Kristen just tweeted! I read it on the nmmovie site! And it does read like a genuine Kristen tweet! And she was very sweet!

That means that this tweet is genuinely from Robert! Aw what a sweetheart he is...*melts*

kittykat said...

Um, yeah... like I posted above - Kristen 'tweeted' about 20 minutes ago... Am I pissing in the wind here?

solas said...

How is it we know if someone is who he/she says? I do not twitter and am not familiar with how those who use it verify who is who.
Also, it seems as if Rob, or someone who gets him to do this if he is indeed twittering/tweeting(?) is worried that he made it clear that New Moon was his favourite, and how much he loves Chris as a person and a director, perhaps implying that Eclipse will not be as good as New Moon>?
If so, do not worry--I think fans will flock to it no matter what.

BarbG said...

It might be them it might not, but just because Kristen wrote that it's her, doesn't mean that it actually is. The person writing them tried to make Kristen's sound more like her since no one was buying Rob's note, but again, it could have been anyone. Everyone knows the way Kristen speaks in circles. My gut is that it wasn't them, but hopefully it was. Love 'em both and am hoping for for some good chemistry and romance in Eclipse!

trinitwilightlvr said...

Nice sentiment but not as believable as the time he used Peter’s account to say hi. Who tweets with punctuation anyway? Everyone knows it just cuts down on your 140 characters

solas said...

someone who doesn't tweet would not know that. :-)

femroc said...

How do you know it's really Rob posting??
Couldn't it just be some dude trying to get attention...........I don't really 'get' twitter yet I guess.

Jamie R. Eads said...

What's with all the cynicism folks? Whether or not they actually sat down and typed it themselves, they obviously approved the messages. Why so much grump in the house? What more can you ask of these people? I think it's sweet that they took the time to thank fans via twitter. Shit, I'm happy just to watch the movie and look at pretty pictures :)

trinitwilightlvr said...

@solas - true :)

chaos! said...

Well, since I can't sleep, I decided to check on you girls...
You are always good company...

I never check on any twitter, or whatever (even would not know how; it is hard enough to check my e-mail), but do you really think you can trust these things?

kittykat said...

Why the skepticism? The 'tweets' from Rob and Kristen are on the 'Official Summit' Twitter account. If you click the Twitter link on the Official New Moon Movie site http://www.newmoonthemovie.com/
You should be convinced...

solas said...

chaos--I have no idea how twitter works. Does one need a cellphone for it? (I haven't quite mastered a cellphone yet either.)

M said...

Not buying it. Someone asked him if this message could be sent on his behalf and he said ok. 1. the message is devoid of his weird corky humor, 2. Rob is too self concious to "ask for the sale". 3. Rob is allergic to Tweeter as it is the bane of his existance.

chaos! said...

solas, I don't have any idea either.
Well, a cellphone I do have.
But what does a cellphone has to do with twitter?

(solas, we both might look a little 'stupid' for the others in here...)

chaos! said...

Girls, I remember something funny I read the other day (don't know where): actor George Clooney said that he would rather have an anal exam than have a "facebook" (is it like twitter?).

Well, I would not go THAT far (anal exam? God, no!), but I share his idea...

Kemberly said...

EEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK OMG ROBERT PATTINSON TWEETED..I CAN'T BELIEVE IT..I'M SO EXCITED..I CAN DIE HAPPY NOW SEEING HIS PUNCTUATION MARKS..EEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKK~!!!

ok ok ok..all I have to say is thank gawd he doesn't have his own blog..the internet would explode obviously.

P.S. Sarcasm is a beautiful thing :) LOL

crazy vamp said...

@ chaos! -- I read that George said this. I thought it was really funny! :D

I don't tweet either. Not that I don't like it, but, boohoo:(((, I have no time for that.

Though, Rob on Twitter? The real Rob? No, I don't believe it. Sorry.

RPlover said...

LMAO-I hadn't heard that quote from Clooney, too funny! Facebook is kind of like Myspace...social networking site, much more complicated than Twitter, that's just messages and there are tons of applications and games and stuff on Facebook. Sorry, I thought I could explain it but it's kind of difficult! :)

real or not, it's nice to get a "thanks for being a fan".

fanFE said...

I will go and watch not only "Eclipse" but everything where his cute- cute face is in.And Rob before "Eclipse" ,"Remember me" is coming.I will be there with or without tweet.

qiupang said...

Rob starts marketing Eclipse so early??

I am actually quite looking forward to Eclipse:
(1) Robward will look younger and hopefully without that much lipsticks;
(2) DS will surely give it an edge observing his tracking record --otherwise I think MR will surely make Eclipse too soap-operatic.
(3) Edward will have more humor and testosterone. (don't get me wrong I like Rob's performance, just feel his character is a thankless role)

I have to agree with Solas, I think twitter doesn't really have a way to verify if the person sending the message is the real person your expecting, not unless he/she would announce their account names, cuz let's face it there could be a million Rob-wannabe accounts there and/or if this isn't their personal twitter account then how can we verify if it's really them!?

I'm sure Summit can be more creative in sending their gratitude to fans, more than just twittering.

Xtyn and Nikki said...

I think it's sweet that he tweeted. I wish though that the cast thank the fans on a more personal level, like, on a talk show or youtube or something on that category so we could verified that it was them. 'Can't complain though. The thought is there, so we'll all just have to appreciate the gesture.
There's no doubt that Eclipse will be another hit, and so is Remember Me. Rob is in it so for sure, it would sell. If Eclipse would break the record? Who knows. All I know is that How To Be and Airman made it to my DVD collections. No matter how lame the movie is, as long as Rob is in it, it will sell :)

Anonymous said...

I dont think that was him at all..they were in a plane..Can you imagine how many followers will Robert get if the make a twitter account?

PartyG said...

To be honest as much as I would love to read a Rob tweet. this aint. If some one said Kristen tweeted a 'thank you' I would be convinced it came from her cause she looks like the kind of girl who can give a sweet surprises but His Holly Hotness? Naaa not in a Gazillion years. 'Thank you's is more a Peter or Taylor thing.

Athena said...

I thought he said he wouldn't twit again and now he comes back with what could almost be an Oscar acceptance speech, in Twitter length measures! If it's actually him (and not Summit, or Nick, or whoever), I'm thankful he did take the bother :) (although it does sound more like Taylor). If it wasn't him, major fail for Summit. Yet again.

I missed the whole thing anyway: still spending time with my friends :)!
