Would Kristen work with Rob on another movie outside of Twilight?

AT: Once all of these Twilight movies are done you will have spent many years filming with the same group of people—would you have any interest in working with them when it's all over?

Kristen: Literally…every single one of them [she said sternly and sweetly].

AT: How about Rob, in particular. Would you see yourself staring in a flick with him again?

Kristen: Yeah, we talk about it all the time.

It would be another Tom Hanks/Meg Ryan & Julia Roberts/Richard Gere thing. All have amazing chemistry together just like Rob and KStew.

I hope they do a little more darker film. Maybe not a romance...but then again...sex scenes would be the death of the audience. XD lol

It's nice that they'd want to work together again, but I don't think it'll ever happen.

Tom Hanks & Meg Ryan/Julia Roberts & Richard Gere never played to hugely popular book characters in a franchise like this.

Every time anyone sees the two of them together, all they will ever see is Edward & Bella.

mya I've read the critic. Ok, I'm glad to read that, because my last opinions always differ from the artistic(?) critics. So, I've vindications from the wolfpack, and the abs of Taylor, after this I think I will love this movie.

yeah..maybe we have to wait and see then make our own opinion about the movie :)

Hmm they could do what Julia Roberts and Richard Gere did. Wait for... lets say 10 years, and then do a really good romantic movie together. Maybe rated R...:D

as much as i want to see rob play along with kristen again, i just bit worry that Rob will not have a long career as actor cos from what he mentioned in some interview that he didn't know that he will be an actor for that long..

this topic is discussed in his imdb board too and i find myself agree with some of them.. OH ROb pliss dont quit acting.

i know im just overreacted maybe...

I would love to see them in another movie. But not soon and not in a romantic movie.I loved Leo De Caprio and Kate Winslet at Revolutionary road.I liked it more than Titanic. I think Rob and Kristen would be great in a drama or in a comedy, why not? They have the chemistry they can pull it out really great.IMO.

@ Mya Bluesky I think that rumor came from when Rob said he was about to quit acting or something when Twilight came along. He couldn't find a script he liked or something. I honestly do not think Rob will quit acting for a while yet as long as he keep finding good scripts. He has said he doesn't want to do movies for the sake of just doing movies, the scripts have to appeal to him too.

So I do not think we got anything to worry about yet, although I do wish he took long enough of a break to work on his music! I happen to appreciate Rob the musician as much as Rob the actor.

As for him and Kristen working together, not seeing that happening anytime soon as they both seem very busy with other projects coming up. The next one for them is as Rob said Breaking Dawn. I am actually looking fwd to that and seeing Kristen as a vampire!

But somewhere down the line, several years after the Twilight saga is all said and done, yep I would love to see them together again. To see if that chemistry is still there. I think it will be.

Hum.. No, just no . Firstly I don't want Rob to be typecasted as Edward or 'the boy that played a vampire with Kristen as costar' and Secondly I don't think that they( Kristen and Rob ) were too passionnate. I mean, when I watched the snippets of New Mon ( you know, when Bella says ' May I ask you something, kiss me ') Kristen looks like she is in pain. In the book, she is supposed to be so SO happy and in love.I laughed out loud but the sad thing is : it wasn't supposed to be funny. So no ! I don't think there is a chemistry between Rob and Kristen. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't feel it AT ALL.

I don't think that was a lack of chemistry...IMO maybe a lack of acting skills...she always acts a little stiff to me. I really like her but I have to be honest about that. I've noticed her acting is a lot better when she is acting angry or upset but in scenes like that one she's just stiff. She's very young I realize, maybe she just needs more direction?

I'm just adding my voice to many who have already written that Rob & Kristen are the new Burton & Taylor (hopefully just the on screen personas with a much happier outcome privately) because they both have had quite an effect on the other. Kristen has softened after three films with Rob. She seems as at ease now on screen as he always has. She looks into his eyes now with much greater emotion than before (perhaps the script dictated it). Even in interviews, she seems to actually be enjoying herself now whereas before that occurred only in the interviews with just Rob. Before, she appeared tense and waiting until the end to be able to walk off stage.

I hope there will be future films, good films, together. She's looking sexier with every photo shoot and so much softer. I am so glad the day of the badass Joan Jett has ended. Her appeal has broadened (no pun intended).

They look so good together and rae is right: hot, explicit sex scenes between the two of them would probably kill the audience or, at the very least, moisten our panties.

I think they have mad chemistry onscreen, it's hot. If they do something again, let's go R rated in a couple years!lol

And honestly, both Kristen AND Robert have their wooden moments in Twilight. She twitches too much, but he's making random faces half of the time. lol What saves them is their onscreen heat-their kiss scene is hotter then most sex scenes in R rated films.

also, I saw that review, and the review really gives no informed reason for hating it so much. It seems very flimsy and reactionary.

I'm not expecting NM to be some amazing, Oscar nominated movie by any means. But just from the spoilers we've seen so far, it's a VAST improvement from the frenetic, chaotic Twilight. The majority of tweets about the film from those who have seen it so far say it's better than Twilight, and that's good enough for me.

RPLover said...

just a comment on Kristen looking like she's in pain during the kiss scene-this is after the birthday party disaster, and Bella knows that Edward is really upset, he's not being affectionate as usual and I think her instincts are telling her that something is seriously wrong between them now. So I think she's supposed to look that way in the scene, seems accurate to me!

Seeing as how these roles and their onscreen couple are so terribly high-profile, I'm not sure if it would work to have them co-star in another movie together, I don't know if the audience could see them as new characters. As others have said, maybe after several years or something.

Errr, thanks but no thanks! I think by this time next year I've seen enough of those two together. I'm actually a lot more excited for 'Remember Me' and 'Bel Ami'at this point. I love me some 'Robward' but this overhyped frenzy is starting to grain on me.

AP said...

oh, yeah, baby. Something extreme. In the meantime I luv r&r, and memories of him.

mya, I've read the review and I suggest she read the book too, because the reviewer said they would like to see the new spark love between Bella and Jacob and I certainly didn't read that in the book so if they are trying to show that in the film... then they are certainly off.

Also, I too would like to see Rob and Kristen in a movie down the road. Definately a comedy... and with his English accent. It always bother me when ppl say there are no chemistry... I see loads of it so if there isn't... the direction is off, it's not their fault.
