APT Films just released this new foreign movie poster for the upcoming biographical drama “Little Ashes” by director Paul Morrison and starring Javier Beltran, Matthew McNulty (Messengers 2: The Scarecrow), Marina Gatell and Robert Pattinson (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) as Salvador Dali.

And for those that don't know here's the synopsis: In 1922, Madrid is wavering on the edge of change as traditional values are challenged by the dangerous new influences of Jazz, Freud and the avant-garde. Salvador Dali arrives at the university; 18 years old and determined to become a great artist. His bizarre blend of shyness and rampant exhibitionism attracts the attention of two of the university’s social elite - Federico Garcia Lorca and Luis Bunel. Salvador is absorbed into their youthfully decadent group and for a time Salvador, Luis and Federico become a formidable trio, the most ultra-modern group in Madrid. However as time passes, Salvador feels and increasingly strong pull towards the charismatic Federico - who is himself oblivious of the attentions he is getting from his beautiful writer friend, Magdalena. In the face of his friends’ preoccupations - and Federico’s growing renown as a poet - Luis sets off for Paris in search of his own artistic success. Robert Pattinson's "Little Ashes" Is Being Distributed In Australia By Kojo Pictures

Kojo Pictures distributes Little Ashes starring Robert Pattinson

Star of “Twilight” and this year's hottest new film “New Moon” acting sensation Robert Pattinson takes on a diverse role in his latest film, Little Ashes, which premieres this week in Adelaide.

The film is being distributed by South Australia's fastest growing film production and distribution company Kojo Pictures.

Robert Pattinson, the young British star of Twilight, takes on the challenging role of playing the eccentric and flamboyant artist, Salvador Dali.

The film focuses on Madrid in the jazz era of 1922 when the young artist studied at the Academy of Fine Arts, with playwright Federico Garcia Lorca (Javier Beltran) and renowned filmmaker Luis Bunuel (Matthew McNulty). Salvador Dali arrives at the university as an 18 year old, determined to become a great artist. His bizarre blend of shyness and rampant exhibitionism attracts the attention of Lorca and Bunuel, two of the university's social elite.

The film will play at the Sydney Mardi Gras Film Festival in February (12th-25th) and the Melbourne Queer Festival in March (11th - 21st) before being released by Kojo Pictures around the country mid 2010.

What is The Little Ashes Movement?

It's a fan movement. We provided a list of theaters(HERE) including the theaters that are already scheduled to play Little Ashes. If it's not playing at a theater near you you need to call and request Little Ashes from the theater listed. If we do not have a theater listed for you then leave us a comment with the name and number of the theater and we'll update the list the next day.

It's as simple as that. We made it happen at a lot of theaters in US. Theaters left us messages saying "okay don't call anymore we ARE scheduling the movie" :)

YOU can make it happen. If there is a number we've listed in your area call and ask them if they will be showing Little Ashes, if they say no then politely ask them to look into it since it's a great movie with Robert Pattinson and you and tons of other people would really love to see it.
