Today Is "Remember Me" Trailer Day
Pierce Brosnan Says "Robert Pattinson Is A Great Lad"
The rabid fans with their cell phone cams and ear-splitting screams. The frenzy over a rumored run-in with a moving taxi cab. The daily perils and pleasures of working in the Big Apple. As all this by-now-familiar madness surrounded Robert Pattinson on the New York City set of "Remember Me" last year, co-star Pierce Brosnan couldn't help but want to shield his fellow actor.
"I play his dad and there's a part of you, as a dad — you feel protective toward the fellow," Brosnan told MTV News.
Even the man behind four James Bond films had a hard time processing the fan and paparazzi circus that surrounded the production each day. "It was really bizarre," he told MTV News. "We were filming in Central Park South and the caravans are there and mine was very quiet and sedate and I'm reading my book and having a nice cup of coffee. Down the other end was Robert with 6,000 girls. I've never encountered such a thing."
Brosnan would make his way from his trailer to set, waving to fans and reveling in some of the attention that still comes his way after years of portraying the world's most dapper super spy. Then RPattz would arrive.
"By the time I walked up the steps of the plaza, he'd be coming up behind me and there'd be this cacophony, this blistering sound barrier of girls," he laughed. "They just love him to bits and he's a great lad."
The older actor credited the younger one with taking an active role in his career, moving from simply acting to also producing — a move that Brosnan said should lead to a long and successful stay in Hollywood. "He acquits himself really well and he's got his head on his shoulders," Brosnan said. "He's an executive producer on this movie and so, grace under pressure, he'll move right through this period and have a great time. Just enjoy it. Give a little, get a lot."

Robert Pattinson Gets Advice From Pierce Brosnan
You’re also in another film coming out opposite Robert Pattinson. Did your younger daughters ask you for an introduction?
There was many a friend and relative and young lady who would come and visit me. The list was long and the girls were many on the streets of New York City and his motor home was the epicenter of beautiful girls. My motor home down the avenue was quiet…when I started doing Bond there was a wonderful publicist that told me: “grace under pressure.” I said the same thing to Robert: “grace under pressure.” Celebrate it and enjoy it (Kate: Good Advice and it looks like Rob is following it too. No better man! )

Pierce Brosnan Says He's Proud Of "Remember Me" & Talks About How Bizarre It Was Filming In New York
Brosnan spoke to Cinematical about working with the legendary figure on The Ghost Writer, as well as Percy Jackson, dealing with Robert Pattinson's screaming fans on the set of Remember Me, and much more
To shift gears a bit, speaking of media-centric figures, you're in Remember Me with Robert Pattinson, which must have been totally bizarre to try and film in New York City.
PB: [laughs] It was. Well, I've seen it. I've never encountered such attention in my career. I mean, I certainly had it but on a day-to-day basis, this young man certainly acquitted himself very well. And I think he was just completely blindsided by everything. And here he was doing a drama, which he's executive producer on, and he had a heavy workload every day, and it's a hard one to be wrenched out of every time you step out of our trailer.
Especially in New York.
PB: And there's nowhere to hide. There's nowhere to run. You know, you're damned if you do, and you're damned if you don't... You have to go to emotional places where you really need to [put your] head down and [look] straight ahead... It's a very dramatic movie, and it's a beautiful movie. It's a love story. I play his father. What can I say about it? I'm very proud of that.

Robert Pattinson Talks About What Brosnan Brings to Remember Me
Pierce Brosnan Mentions Robert Pattinson and Remember Me On His Website
I also shot “Remember Me” with Chris Cooper, Lena Olin, Emilie de Ravin and the dashing Robert Pattinson, during the summer of 2009. We all found ourselves in the heart of Manhattan and Brooklyn surrounded by a couple hundred screaming teenage girls every day. For any young actor to be thrown into the ferocious limelight as Robert has been – must take its toll. He worked very hard and I wish him every success. Robert acquainted himself grandly. “Remember Me” will be in theaters March 12th.

Pierce Brosnan Says Robert Pattinson Gives A Fantastic Performance In "Remember Me"
Kate: I love Pierce and I think I love him even more now. Here in an interview with the Daily Record he mentions Rob and "Remember Me".
From the Daily Record
Next year, he will be seen in a new film with Twilight hunk Robert Pattinson, called Remember Me.
Of course, to younger film fans, the most important thing is that he's worked with Robert Pattinson, the heartthrob star who plays Edward in Twilight.
"I think when you see Remember Me, you'll see Robert giving a fantastic performance. He's really working hard to work on his performance and acting and who he is."
