Pattinson, Brosnan Showdown Ends With Big Twist

Loving this review!

From PopCornBiz

The pairing of Robert Pattinson and Pierce Brosnan as father and son in "Remember Me" has had fans atwitter since the cast was announced, but it's the film's surprise ending that will keep the buzz alive.

Pattinson is sharp in this beautifully shot film, and one-time James Bond Brosnan is in top form. Their thick onscreen New York accents might slip a bit in the heat of their constant arguing, given Pattinson's a Brit and Brosnan an Irishman. But Pattinson makes coming out on the wrong end of cop fights and cramped student living in New York look appealing, while the polished Brosnan looks perfectly at home in his big business surroundings.

But the big talking point when this movie hits screens next month will be the surprise twist of an ending. For the sake of maintaining the surprise, we'll keep the details short on this massive twist. Suffice it to say it makes "The Book of Eli's" blind-reveal look pretty tame in comparison. It's a whopper.

Popcorn Biz will have a full review shortly before "Remember Me" opens on March 12.

PLEASE don't discuss the ending etc in the comments, keep it spoiler free or I'll send Angry Edward after you or even worse Angry Gozde!

Ask Robert Pattinson Video #6

Q. It is clear that New York will serve as a character in the film. Were you able to connect with and enjoy aspects of New York?

Robert Pattinson:

Another Chance to Ask Robert Pattinson & the "Remember Me" Cast Your Questions

If your question didn't get asked on the "Ask Rob" videos or if you didn't get around to submitting you question well here's another chance.

At Moviefone.com they will be asking your questions to the cast:

The fact that Robert Pattinson plays the lead in Allen Coulter's 'Remember Me' shouldn't imply that this romantic-drama is anything like the obsessed-about 'Twilight' franchise. On the contrary, with racier scenes (watch an exclusive clip of Pattinson's shower scene with co-star Emilie de Ravin) and darker, adult themes, 'Remember' is a welcome distraction from vampire and werewolf love spats.

In the film, Pattinson is Tyler, a troubled young man whose rebellious response to a family suicide aggravates an already strained relationship with his father (Pierce Brosnan). He begins to change his outlook, however, when he meets and falls in love with Ally (Emilie de Ravin) -- whose father (Chris Cooper) is, unbeknownst to her, somehow linked to Tyler. And as their affair intensifies, so does the weight of untold secrets until, eventually, it threatens to tear them apart.

On Saturday, Feb. 27, we will be interviewing the entire cast of 'Remember Me,' including Emilie de Ravin, Pierce Brosnan, Chris Cooper and, of course, Robert Pattinson. So if you're wondering what it was like for Emilie to film with the media frenzy surrounding Robert, or if Brosnan ever experienced the same reaction from his lady fans, now's your chance to ask them for yourself! Really, you can ask anything you want, just make sure to submit your question before Friday, Feb. 26 in the comments here and to include your name and location

Robert Pattinson's Details Remarks Continue to Haunt Him

We knew it would come and it did. Another part of Robert Pattinson's Details Interview is being reheated and served , you know the part where he utters the word negro:

Details: Rob, did you know that every time you say actor or acting you lower your voice to a whisper?
Pattinson: I do?
Details: Yes, so quietly it's like you're saying Negro.
(Pattinson laughs, lightens up.)
Pattinson: What if we were 'acting' like 'Negroes'? Then we'd be f*cked--we couldn't hear anything...

Celebuzz and a blogger named Zennie Abraham takes a VERY dangerous step towards creating hate.

Zennie Abraham keeps asking what issues Robert Pattinson has against blacks like him. I think Mr. Abraham should ask his therapist (I hope he has one) what issues HE has about many things.

And Celebuzz says: "At one point, R-Pattz let slip with a racial term that some might deem outdated and offensive". I think we all know/hope that celebuzz can read. The so called "slip" wasn't made by Robert Pattinson, he was answering Ms. Lumet's question with a joke to lighten the mood.

What they didn't research before calling Jenny Lumet racist is that her mom Gail Lumet Buckley is African American herself. She served as a student counselor at the National Scholarship Service and Fund for Negro Students between the years of 1961-62. Gail's mom Lena Horne is one of the first African American actresses in Hollywood!I wonder if Gail knew she was racist by being a part of an organization that had the word Negro in it. A fund that served with pride under that name.

It's easy calling people racist. What's not easy is repairing the damage you do by blaming innocent people. When there's hate so rampant all over the world I say SHAME ON YOU to anyone that publishes this crap without doing proper research, without thinking more than 2 minutes before spreading hate, before pointing the gun at someone.

Shame on you!

A ROYAL Screw YOU to and from Blogger

Robert Pattinson DIDN'T Talk to The Sun About His Love Life

Do we love Gossip Cop or do we love Gossip Cop? The BS reader is still functional...It was an easy call :))

Gossip Cop has spent hours reaching out to everyone to verify the Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart shocker heard ’round the world.

Initially, we were told the interview was “a fake.”

We then contacted many, many more individuals, including the author of the explosive interview published in The Sun, “R-Patz admits: I AM with K-Stew.”

Unlike numerous other sites which took the interview at face value and never fact checked, including Hollyscoop (“Robert Pattinson Confirms He’s Dating Kristen Stewart) and HollywoodLife (“Finally, Kristen! Your boyfriend R-Patz ADMITS you are a couple!”), Gossip Cop verified with the reporter — more than once over the course of a few hours — what was and wasn’t said on Sunday.

The reporter told Gossip Cop Pattinson “didn’t say ‘we are a couple,’” adding that “he wasn’t going to spell it out in great detail.”

What the reporter did ask during the post-BAFTAs dinner, where Pattinson was several feet away from Stewart for this Q&A, was, “Is this a public appearance together?”

The reporter told Gossip Cop Pattinson replied, “We are together.”

When Gossip Cop pressed him on whether Pattinson’s response meant he and Stewart were a couple, the reporter said, “That’s my assumption from what he said.”

OK, so Pattinson never actually said they were “a couple.”

The Sun claims Pattinson “admitted” he and Stewart were a couple. But that is not the case.

This isn’t to say Pattinson and Stewart are or are not a couple.

But the claim that there was any kind of monumental admission or “fessing up” at the dinner on Sunday simply is not true.

As Gossip Cop has maintained from the beginning, it’s up to the actors to reveal when and what they want to reveal.

Gozde: See this is what the tabloids do. They ask you a question, you answer, they take that answer and write a story on that answer. So like if they asked him if he liked men's or women's tennis and he said "Men" we could read a title like "Robert Pattinson admits he is gay". Or if they asked him if he liked his sandwich with turkey or chicken and he said "Chicken" we could read that he said "Kristen has chicken legs". You know, it could happen :)

*New* Yet Another New TV Spot For "Remember Me"

I think it's a tiny bit different from the others, but forgive me if it's not, it's starting to get confusing!

Robert Pattinson Bears His Soul to The Sun? Yeah Probably NOT

The Sun says Robert Pattinson admitted his "alleged" relationship to Kristen Stewart at the BAFTA bash. Yeah, I don't need Rob's reps to tell me this is complete B.S. Rob going to The Sun , a tabloid, and admitting anything is like Barack Obama bearing his soul to Rush Limbaugh...not gonna happen :)

From The Sun:

SORRY girls, but ROBERT PATTINSON has admitted for the first time that he and hisTwilight co-star KRISTEN STEWART are an item.

The mystery of their relationship status has been driving fans of the vampire saga loopy.

Brit actor Robert carried on with the secrecy at Sunday's Bafta bash - then admitted they were a couple at the post-do dinner.

The pair at first went to ludicrous lengths to avoid being seen together by devoted fans.

They arrived separately and did not sit together during the ceremony at the Royal Opera House in London's Covent Garden.

But as soon as they were out of the glare of the public, they were all over each other.

According to Robert the cloak-and-dagger stuff is just to avoid attention.

He said: "It is extremely difficult but we are together, yes.

"We can't arrive at the same time because of the fans. It goes crazy. This was supposed to be a public appearance as a couple but it's impossible. We are here together and it's a public event but it's not easy.

"We have to do all this stuff to avoid attention."

Kristen, who picked up the Orange Rising Star award, arrived at the dinner with six security guards.

Not even PRINCE WILLIAM had that much protection.

Once inside the afterparty Robert and Kristen - whose next Twilight movie, Eclipse, is out in July - couldn't get enough of each other.

They were snapped leaving the do, which was held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, at around midnight.

Robert headed to the gongs from shooting movie Bel Ami with UMA THURMAN.

He said: "A load of us came straight here. It feels like a work night out.

"The film is going well. I play a French journalist in 19th Century Paris.

"The problem is I have to leave for work again at 6.30am."

I can't help feeling a bit sorry for Kristen - who was partying in London again last night, this time at the Elle Style Awards - and Robert.

They are obviously smitten but feel they have to hide it from the world.

*New* "Remember Me" Clip "At The Funfair"

You Tube Version

There are only 18 days left until Robert Pattinson's newest flick, "Remember Me," hits theaters (and for those of you keeping track at home, that's also 18 days until the very first "Eclipse" trailer premieres), so in order to keep your RPattz buzz going, MTV News has gotten access to an exclusive clip.

In the scene — which seems to take place either just before or right after Emilie de Ravin and Rob argue over dessert at an Indian restaurant (they're wearing the same clothes) — the "Twilight" star tries to woo his lady love the good old-fashioned way: by winning a carnival game

There's a catch however: Robert's Tyler isn't very good at winning carnival games. Or, at least ones that involve shooting hoops. After several attempts to prove to Emilie's Ally that he can win her the giant panda she has her heart so set on (funny — we would've thought she preferred polar bears), he finally finds a way to beat the system.

"I won!" he exclaims with a big smile as they walk away from the booth. The thing is, though, he didn't quite secure the prize in a, uh, legit way. To find out how he really ended up winning Ally her panda

So who did Robert Pattinson Congratulate At The Beginning Of His BAFTA Presentation?

Ya I wanted to know too ;-) Well here's the answer.

From BelAmiFilm.com

Robert Pattinson did a bang up job presenting an award for Original Screenplay at the BAFTA’s today but are you curious about who he congratulated before he got on with the task at hand. We were too. (Kate: Of course I was, I want to know EVERYTHING!)

Rob, being the sweetheart that he is, took the time to congratulate Jenny Shircore on her BAFTA win for MAKE UP & HAIR: THE YOUNG VICTORIA. Why would he go out of his way to thank her, well because she is currently working with Rob on Bel Ami.

If she’s responsible for his hair, then imma thank and congratulate her too because Rob looks very very hot in Bel Ami. (Kate: Ya looks like all these top people working on Bel Ami is gonna make a really good film. I'm SO excited)

Robert Pattinson and his Twilight costars - What's Next?

'Twilight' stars Pattinson, Lautner, Stewart branch out

They've monopolized magazine covers and encouraged moviegoers around the world to spend more than $1 billion at the box office. Surely, the three young stars of the Twilight franchise —Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart— have earned a break in between big-screen installments of their supernatural saga.

Not if they desire careers that require more than just being a brooding vampire, a hard-bodied werewolf and the sulky girl who loves them. When it comes to life after multi-part blockbusters such as the Star Wars trilogies, opportunity often awaits. But so does type-casting, poor decision-making and outright rejection. Only a chosen few rise to Harrison Ford heights.

That might explain why each of the Twilight trio has at least one film coming long before the third outing based on Stephenie Meyer's literary phenom, Eclipse, arrives June 30.

Not exactly newcomers

Lautner, 18, got a head start in the romantic comedy Valentine's Day, which has collected $87.4 million in 10 days. Fellow heartthrob Pattinson, 23, stars as a James Dean for the Twitter generation in the romantic drama Remember Me, opening March 12.

Meanwhile, Stewart, 19, leaves behind all traces of chaste heroine Bella Swan as she dons black leather as Joan Jett in the rock 'n' roll bioThe Runaways, due March 19 — but not until she joins William Hurt on a road trip in The Yellow Handkerchief this Friday.

It's not as if all three don't have a résumé of sorts. Stewart is the most experienced, playing Jodie Foster's daughter in the 2002 thriller Panic Room and appearing in Into the Wild in 2007. Lautner starred in 2005's Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl 3-D, and Pattinson was in 2005's Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

But Twilight's cultural stronghold tends to overwhelm any other credits. "Being associated with one thing for so long can be detrimental," says Paul Dergarabedian, box-office tracker for Hollywood.com. Also, the massive popularity of such works as The Lord of the Rings and the Harry Potter books can undercut the importance of the actors.

Developing an identity beyond the Twilight zone will depend on the future projects the actors pick and the company they keep. "Look at Anna Kendrick," Dergarabedian says, referring to the actress who plays Stewart's friend in the Twilight films. "She earned instant credibility after working with George Clooney and director Jason Reitman in Up in the Air. Now she's Oscar-nominated."

It helps that older male filmmakers tend to be clueless about Twilight mania. Valentine's Day's Garry Marshall had never heard of Lautner or werewolf Jacob when the studio suggested the ab-crunched lad for his ensemble cast. "I'm about 107," says the director, 75. "I don't know who is popping."

Lautner's schedule was free only after shooting began, so Marshall quickly checked out the trailer for last fall's New Moon. "I saw he could jump around and that his shirt was never on, which we turned into a joke. Who could guess he was a fine actor?"

Marshall soon realized the benefits of squeezing in a Twilight lead among the more established performers, who include Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Garner, Jessica Biel, Jessica Alba, Ashton Kutcher, Bradley Cooper and both McDreamy (Patrick Dempsey) and McSteamy (Eric Dane) from TV's Grey's Anatomy. For one thing, the brief real-life relationship that developed between the two Taylors — Lautner and Swift — grabbed gossip headlines and produced pre-opening buzz.

Plus, "he gets the biggest yell-out during the opening titles," says Marshall, who wisely padded Lautner's part after noticing his flair for comedy — as well as after hearing the screams of the hundred or so fans on the film's high school set. "He's a sweet kid, unspoiled by Hollywood so far."

Pattison was 'limited'

Remember Me director Allen Coulter is relieved that he had little awareness of Edward Cullen, Pattinson's bloodsucking alter ego, when he signed up the British actor. Instead, he was impressed by how bright Pattinson is and his instinctive understanding of the role.

"If I had seen Twilight," he says, "I might not have hired him. He is so limited by the kinds of traits he has to express. It's not that psychologically complex."

Not only does Remember Me offer Pattinson a chance to play a mere mortal with a keener sense of irony and humor than his oft-tortured Twilight hero ("He shows his playful side," Coulter says), he also gets to hold his own with such adult actors as Pierce Brosnan as his distant father and Chris Cooper as a hard-nosed cop who misjudges him.

Considering the New York-based drama centers on a touching love story between Pattinson's emotionally adrift young man and a fellow college student (Emilie de Ravin of Lost), Coulter isn't adverse to capitalizing on his star's status as a messy-haired, swoony-eyed sex symbol. "I hope the rabid interest in Rob as a personality helps the box office. It would be foolish to say otherwise." And, unlike the Twilight films, in which Bella and Edward's passion remains unconsummated because of his vampire issues, Pattinson is free to engage in PG-13 boudoir action.
