Robert Pattinson Denies Robsten Rumors, Talks About His Dog (RIP)

I am posting all info from different outlets here. So this will be an epic post. Most of it is repetitive but I'll post anyways. Turns out Patty, his dog passed away last Christmas :( RIP Patty...

These are just parts from the interview, wait till the whole thing comes out and always remember quotes in articles never really reflect what the person meant when he said those words... ;)

From GossipCop about the Robert Pattinson-Kristen Stewart relationship denial:

Since those interviews were conducted, it has been reported that Pattinson and Stewart were seen at several concerts together, sharing meals, and otherwise appearing close.

According to a rep for Vanity Fair, shortly before the interview was turned in, Peretz contacted reps for both actors and Summit Entertainment to again confirm or deny a possible relationship, and suddenly this time they would not offer a comment.

So while the article’s text says Pattinson tells Peretz rumors of a love affair were false and supplies the aforementioned quotes, it’s important to note that those statements are months old and may not reflect current circumstances.

From MTV.com:

Robert Pattinson hasn't left the spotlight since he was cast as Edward Cullen in the "Twilight" flicks. And the rumor that doesn't seem to want to die is the one that has him paired with Kristen Stewart. Pattinson insists he's not dating his co-star, but that doesn't mean people won't keep trying to hook them up.

"It doesn't make any difference what you say [to the tabloids]," he says in the December issue of Vanity Fair, on newsstands November 4 in New York and Los Angeles. "I've literally been across the country [from Kristen], and it's like, 'Oh, they were on secret dates!' It's like, 'Where? I can't get out of my hotel room!' "

Stewart also laughs off the rumors in the issue, adding, "It's so retarded. We're characters in this comic book."

Pattinson continued that he and Stewart are "good friends." "I think she's the best young actress around," he said. "She's influenced how I've done all the 'Twilight' stuff. It's quite nice to have someone who is genuinely indifferent to the whole spectacle of everything."

He went on to talk about his fame and how being in the "Twilight" franchise is sometimes overwhelming, making his life completely different than it was before he signed on. Before "Twilight," he admits, he had spent his time "getting drunk for a year." "I was going to all these auditions and telling everyone how I got fired [from a play in London's West End] because I stood up for my principles, and making up all this bullsh--," he said. "I kind of went nuts for a while." He added that he would play his guitar in bars because "no one gave a sh--when you got up onstage."

Despite thinking that he looks like "a cartoon character," he said he went into the "Twilight" audition "a little more brazen than I would have been in a normal audition." "I was still in the mode thinking, I've got to make this really, really serious. This is not just a sexy thing. ... I was slamming my head against the wall and kind of going nuts," he said. "I remember calling my parents and saying, 'That's it. I'm not doing this anymore.' And then hearing, 'OK, fine,' which was not the answer I wanted to hear at all."

Pattinson wasn't the only one doubting he could tackle the role. The studio also wasn't sure he was right for the part, according to "Twilight" director Catherine Hardwicke. " 'Catherine, do you think you can make this guy look good?' " Hardwicke recalled being asked. "So I said, 'Here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to get his hair back to a different color, do a different style. He would work with a trainer from now on. My cinematographer is great with lighting. He will study the cheekbones, and I promise you, we'll make the guy look good.' "

Now, of course, instead of concentrating on how to make it, Pattinson is trying to keep fame from becoming too much for him to handle. "I'm trying not to drown," he said. "I guess I'm not the type of guy cut out to do a franchise. I'm not much of a crowd person."

INTERVIEW: Robert Pattinson Talks 'Good Time' & Upcoming Projects With Vanity Fair

INTERVIEW: Robert Pattinson Talks 'Good Time' & Upcoming Projects With Vanity Fair

Rob was interviewed by Vanity Fair and spoke about Good Time, upcoming projects and lots more!

image host

Brooding and aloof, two adjectives often associated with actor Robert Pattinson, are two that do little to currently describe the 31-year old former heartthrob. Rather the face of the Dior Homme fragrance, with the sharp-edged jawline and the intense glare, is an easy laugh and a genuinely good time. It could be because he’s getting the best reviews of his career for his role as a petty thief sporting a hearty batch of grandiose delusions in Josh and Benny Safdie’s aptly titled grind-house actioner Good Time. It could be because the paparazzi have finally left him alone and he’s starring in the films he’s long wanted to do. Or it could be that his life is, quite simply, great. Apparently, even the spirits agree.

A few years ago, Pattinson received a psychic reading from a waitress/medium at a London restaurant who told him that his soul had lived many previous lives and the one he’s currently in was something of a reward for all his past lives’ hardships. “She was like, ‘This life is your soul just having a ride, having fun, just a roller coaster,” said Pattinson during a recent interview at his favorite Los Angeles restaurant that he asked me to keep secret.

“That's generally how I feel,” he added. “It’s been fucking incredible. I really haven’t had any bad times. I’ve had a cruise from beginning to end.”

Most of that cruising has been done on movie sets. Since he first appeared opposite Reese Witherspoon in Vanity Fair when he was 16 (his scenes were eventually cut from the film) to today, Pattinson has worked consistently, jumping from set to set, including the four years he spent brooding as Edward, the tortured vampire with the sparkly skin and a desperate passion for the forbidden human Bella in Twilight, the series that sent his star power into the stratosphere. We all know how that fairy tale ended. What’s remarkable is that it did little to quell Pattinson’s own passion for the game. Rather, it taught him the importance of having good directors and solidified his quest to seek them out at all costs.

“That’s what film is to me,” Pattinson said of his single-mindedness about filmmakers. “It shows respect for the art form and the lineage of movie-making if you go after the people who influence everyone else.”

Back in 2015, he sent a cold e-mail to the Safdie brothers based on a film still from a yet-to-be-released movie. According to Josh, it read in part: “I've seen this still for your film Heaven Knows What, and I feel some type of innate connection toward it. It somehow feels tied to my purpose, and I feel like now you’re tied to my purpose.”

Gus van Sant

Excerpt from an interview with Gus van Sant:
JC: Is it true that you were in the running to direct "Twilight"?

GVS: Yeah. In an interview, Robert Pattinson was asked, "What's up for the next Twilight?" They had been asked this a thousand times. So he said, "We want to get a filmmaker like Gus Van Sant to do the next one." I was surprised at reading this and I thought, "Am I actually considered? Am I in the running? Would they actually even think that way?" So I told my agent to put my name in the hat.

I went out to the interview and, naively, I wasn't aware that I was expected to sell [myself to] them. They wanted to see your plan even though the plan was to do the movie exactly the way the book read, because if you deviated an inch, you'd be killed by the fans. Of course, the other filmmakers who were much more savvy had long 45-minute displays of these ideas and they got the job. It was a really bad scene because I got really nervous and I realized it was just completely going down. Obviously, I screwed the whole thing up.

Anna Kendrick

Excerpt from an interivew with Anna Kendrick:
Have you learned anything from Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart about dealing with the media attention?

I have no idea how they stay sane with all that kind of attention. I know, knock wood, I’ve been able to avoid that kind of thing. I’m just in awe of their ability to handle that stuff.

Harper's Bazaar

Harper's Bazaar editor mentions Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart's photoshoot from 2009 in HB's greatest hits book.
Bazaar ended the year with more otherworldly pursuits by photographing Twilight stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson for the December cover. It was one of the rare occasions they'd been shot together. Inside, the interview alluded to their real life romance, but as we said before, seeing is believing.

Kristen Stewart Talks About A Brooding Robert Pattinson In "Vanity Fair"

UPDATED With More Quotes from Vanity Fair
Kristen Stewart Talks About A Brooding Robert Pattinson & Rob talks about Kristen's passion for fashion In "Vanity Fair"

Photobucket

On getting scolded for off-screen antics with Robert Pattinson:

“Me and Rob got into a lot of trouble. We were getting notes from the studio. They wanted me to smile all the time. They wanted Rob to be not so brooding. We were like, ‘No! You need to brood your a– off.’”

Robert Pattinson on Stewart’s passion for fashion:

“I never saw that coming.”

“The perception of her is that she’s ‘awkward,’” Rob admits. “But it’s funny knowing her. It’s the absolute opposite of what people think. She’s insanely confident.”

On top of battling personal reluctance, Stewart also struggles with the public’s preconceived notions about her personality. “People have decided how they are going to perceive her,” Robert Pattinson tells V.F. of Stewart. “No matter how many times she smiles, they’ll put in the one picture where she’s not smiling.”

Preview Of Robert Pattinson's Interview With "Vanity Fair" (Italy)

Photobucket

From Vanity Fair (Italy)

This issue will be out tomorrow

While waiting to come back for working on the Twilight Saga, he is playing the lover of a married woman. But being a cheater for him will be really hard.

You don't have to be smart to understand that, generally speaking, there is worst than became a poster-guy who needs to hide from the fans in a five star hotel room around the world. And it looks like Robert is a very smart guy. But is also looks like, in his everyday life, that he didn't took his destiny from the bright side. He is young (25 years old in May), he has money, success, a job, actor, which half of the world would love to have and all the women whom he could have. But you can see he is not happy.

The reason, I believe, is because he is smart enought to understand that he is not that special. He is still down-to-earth even when the whole world is going crazy for him. That makes him a good person, but so so lonely. I met him a few weeks ago, for the promotion of the movie "Water for Elephants".

Born in a normal English family - his mother working for a model agency, his father used to sell vintage cars - he was going to work on international relations. His role as Cedric in Harry Potter and the Globet of Fire was a lucky event and the same was for the role that was going to change is life: the Vampire Edward Cullen in Twilight.

Water for Ekephants is a romance movie. "What attracted me was the historical period, the great depression, the circus, it's fascinating".

The main plot is however the story between Jacob and Marlena. "Even if at the beginning you are thinking "oh now he comes and sees her, they like each other they run away together" the story is more than that. Jacob is ready to give, not to take. Best relationship ever".

Could you have an affair with a married woman?

"Life is not black or white. There are married people that don't share anything. How can you call that a marriage? There is something I can't even understand: why people cheat?"

You can't understand something that most people do???

“I can understand the impulse, but not how you can maintain a long-standing relationship at the same time. And though I realize that can happen to those who have children, I can't really understand how someone free of any commitment could possible choose to have four women at the same time. it must be like hell for a man”

You don't believe in cheating. What about in the happly ever after, like a movie ending?

“My parents met when my mom was 17 and my father 25, they are still together and seem very happy. I grew up believing that you can be together all life."

The whole interview will be on the next issue of vanity fair out on March 30th

Blast From The Past: Robert Pattinson at the Vanity Fair Oscars After Party (2009)

In my world, Rob is attending the Oscars. But I won't say that here because people want proof of such things. The DR doesn't want me to say I feel it in my soooooul. Nope. You guys don't want to read things like, "Tink thinks Rob is going to the Oscars" or "If you build it, he will come." So I won't say anything about that. Nothing at all. Instead, I'm going to blast us back 3 years, February 2009, when a handsome Englishman wore a killer tux on a red carpet and made all men wonder why they were cursed in this life.
