So are we, DuRob, so are we...

Bel Ami is a touchy subject among the fandom. We want it bad. I swear many of us would do anything to get it. Filmed over a year ago, the production team is infuriatingly hush about the release of the film or what the problem is. We keep recycling the same stills that ironically are very expressive of how we feel. Let me demonstrate...

Umadeleine: Is it true the film is finally being released?

DuRob: Darling, I don't f*cking know.

DuRob: I demand this film is released as I release this dirt!

Umadeleine: I can not bear to watch the madness.

I'm borderline belligerent when I talk about it (note the hostility in my words) and latch on to the slightest bit of news regarding the matter. Even rumors. I'm desperate. We all are.

The latest claim does back up the 2 most recent claims of an October 19th US release date (posted HERE and HERE) and we've source Daily Mail plenty of times.

Daily Mail was posting about Rob's pie incident on Cosmopolis June 28th but this excerpt at the very end is what catches the eye 'round these parts:

[Cosmopolis] is set to wrap up in July, before Pattinson commences promotional work for drama Bel Ami in October with co-stars Uma Thurman and Christina Ricci, followed by Breaking Dawn: Part 1 in November.
DuRob: It's about damn time.

Obviously if the October 19th release date is true, Rob would need to promote the film around this time. This is the first we've seen of media mentioning promotional duties and who might be involved. I'll take it. I'll take whatever I can get until this movie hits the big screen.

Official word is on the horizon, ladies. I can feel it in my bones. Maybe I should ask Nick, yes? ;)

Holliday Grainger talks about Robert Pattinson and Bel Ami

Speaking with Collider, Holliday Grainger (did she change her name form Holly?) mentioned Robert Pattinson and Bel Ami:

Can you talk about the roles you did in Jane Eyre and Bel Ami, which you also have coming out this year?
GRAINGER: When I was younger, I always wanted to do period drama and never got to do it, until last January. And then, this last year was just period drama after period drama. I have a small part in Jane Eyre. I’m one of the Rivers sisters that saves Jane (Mia Wasikowska) from destitution. They’re a very lovely, very godly, very pure family. Bel Ami is the opposite. My character is more like Lucrezia. She’s an evil little witch that knows what she wants and is out to get the guy that she wants. She’s willing to upset her mom and upset anyone, just to get the guy that she wants.

Did you get to work with Robert Pattinson?

GRAINGER: Yeah, my character’s scenes are mainly with Rob ‘cause she marries him in the end. She does get him.

Have you ever felt any difficulty to find interesting roles because of age?

In the last movies, I only have romantic relationships with younger guys. Even my 12 years-old daughter noticed that. Of course I’m very disturbed by the fact that Robert Pattinson played my husband (Tink: I'm not disturbed...I'm wildly jealous).. But my current partner is seven years older than me.

Speaking with Advocate.com about her first try on Broadway, Ricci brought up some fun tidbits about Rob and Bel Ami

Was Broadway always part of your plan?

No, I had terrible stage fright, so people eventually stopped bringing it up. But when I was coming back from making Bel Ami with Robert Pattinson, my agent, who also represents Laura Linney, asked me if I wanted to read for Time Stands Still, and I completely forgot I had stage fright. Literally, walking home from the audition, I was like, Oh, shit, I just remembered I hate acting in front of people. So now I’m sort of ignoring it.

I love how casually you just namedropped R-Patz. Are you a Twilight fan?

OK, first of all, publicists train you to say your credits along with your costars. You can’t be shy about self-promotion; it’s like Kathy Griffin or something. [Laughs] I’m a very lazy pop culture fan—if it involves leaving my living room, I’m pretty clueless—so I’ve never seen a single Twilight movie, and I guess I missed it when it was on Starz. But Rob’s a lovely individual.

Do you two share a love scene in Bel Ami?

We do. But he’s like your best friend’s little brother, so we would just laugh and make fun of each other the entire time. He thought it was outrageous how comfortable I was being naked. I was like, “That’s because I’m 20 years older than you.” Seriously, I’ve never felt so old in my entire life.

Christina Ricci Warns: Prepare Yourself for Robert Pattinson the Cad

Oooh I can take it Christina I'm a big girl

Moviegoers are used to seeing Robert Pattinson onscreen as the most-stand up vampire around. But Christina Ricci warns that's going to end very soon.  

Pattinson and Ricci both completed "Bel Ami" which Pattinson plays a young man rising to power in Paris using the city's most influential and wealthy women.  

"The world is used to seeing him one way, and he's very, very different in this movie," Ricci tells PopcornBiz from the Blackberry Torch from AT&T launch party, "But he's an actor, that's what it's about. And he's really great in this."

  Pattinson, who somehow has managed to stay a faithful and sexless through three "Twilight" films, works his way through Parisian society in "Bel Ami." At the press conference during the "Eclipse" release, Pattinson gleefully talked about his "Bel Ami" character Georges Duroy who he called "a completely amoral, evil character." (Kate:YAY)

"He seduces his wife and seduces absolutely every single one of his wife’s friends. Any influential woman he can get he has an affair with," said Pattison. "And then ends up screwing over the entire society and ends up making millions and millions of francs."

Pattinson taps into some serious actresses in Ricci and Uma Thurman. (Kate: You can say that again!) His Duroy is such a cad that he not only dumps Ricci once, but several times as he rises to the top.

"We have an on-off relationship through the whole movie and I get my heart broken a few times," says Ricci. (Kate: Christina I hope you don't expect pity from me, coz it's not going to happen! )
  
And does she handle her onscreen heartbreaks with less drama than Pattinson's co-star Kristen Stewart who famously went through vampire withdrawal during "New Moon" in a big way?  

"Yes, I do," she admits. "But there's a little screaming, but that's par for the course for a relationship."

While filming is complete, no official release date has not been set for "Bel Ami," -- though it looks to hit US screens in the spring of next year.

Folks who prefer the nice Rob won't have to wait long. Pattinson will be back to his filming his faithful vampire character, Edward Cullen, in the fall for the final two "Twilight" installments. (Kate: I'm looking forward to seeing Rob the cad for a change! )

Christina Ricci stars alongside Robert Pattinson in the upcoming film Bel Ami, and recently gushed about her co-star calling him, “a great guy.”

"He’s such a dedicated actor,” she told OnTheRedCarpet.com about working with the Twilight Saga star. “It’s fun to work with someone who is genuinely not jaded and who loves films.”

The two apparently had a lot of fun on set as well. “He’s so sweet and funny and we make fun of each other and laugh. We’re silly together. We just really had a good time,” Ricci said. In Bel Ami, a film based off a novel of the same name. Pattinson plays Georges Duroy, a womanizing Parisian. The British actor is a bit of a movie buff according to Ricci. “He’s surprisingly a huge cinephile,” she said.

At last night’s Blackberry Torch launch in L.A., Christina Ricci couldn’t contain her feelings for her Bel Ami co-star Robert Pattinson. “We would just goof off and laugh while we were working—he’s a sweet guy and super funny…and a really good kisser!” she told us. And what was her favorite part of filming? “The costumes, the makeup and… Rob!” But Ricci admitted she hasn’t even seen the films that are responsible for his fame. “I was waiting for [The Twilight Saga films] to be on TV because the theaters were so crowded, but there’s no excuse!” Ricci also said it’s easy to understand why Kristen Stewart, who stopped by the set several times, is so smitten with her Twilight and real-life co-star Pattinson: “He’s so charming and such a smart guy. He’s so super organized and in charge of his career. He was actually giving me advice!” the veteran actress said.

Well, since she brought him up we might as well get the on-set dirt from her:
"He's just great. We'd just make fun of each other the whole time, like ‘oh my god we're so goofy' or ‘my accent is so bad!'"
So exactly how close do Christina and Rob get? "We are lovers, yeah you know."
Relax Twi-Hards. She means they are lovers onscreen for Bel Ami!
"There's some naughtiness," the adorable Ricci said with a smirk when we grilled her on whether we get some good love-scenes, adding there are "lots" of them.
Natch we had to ask the question on all of our minds. Is Rob a good kisser?
"Um yeah," Christina smiled. "He is pretty much awesome."
One lucky girl who gets to experience Rob's smooches on a pretty regular basis is Kristen Stewart. As we told you, Kristen traveled to Budapest after her birthday to be with Rob during filming. "Yeah she visited," Christina said. "I love her, she is totally sweet. And he is great!" Although Ricci says she's never seen a Twilight film, she totally gets the cult appeal.
"I understand where they're coming from," confessed the lovely CR. " He's an awesome human being. He's so funny and quirky and weird."

Tink: There's some naughtiness? HA! That's putting it mildly ;).
