From The Improper
Robert Pattinson won’t be heading into harm’s way in Iraq after all, when he starts filming “Mission Blacklist” about Saddam Hussein’s capture during the Iraq War, according to sources.

Rob will be jumping out of his current picture, “The Rover,” and right into filming his psychological thriller.

Principal production is scheduled to start as soon as April, studio Embankment Films has announced on its website.

A source confirms to TheImproper that the movie won’t be shot in Iraq as originally reported. The film will likely do its location shooting in Morocco or Jordan.

A number of period desert films have been shot the North African country, including 2001′s “Black Hawk Down.” In the last few years, Michael Patrick King’s “Sex and the City 2,” Disney’s “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time,” and “Inception” have been filmed there.

But Director Kathryn Bigelow chose to film her Oscar-winning Iraq war epic, “The Hurt Locker,” in Jordan. She wanted to be as close to Iraq as possible, while avoiding the war-torn country. “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” also filmed in Jordan in 1988.

Viggo Mortensen out of Robert Pattinson's Maps To The Stars? David Cronenberg says possibly...

Photobucket

David Cronenberg has been talking to several outlets about Cosmopolis because of the US Bluray/DVD release and mentioned a couple of things about Maps To The Stars.

First, he told Movieline that filming is still on target for May if everything goes according to plan.
Movieline: Is your next project ready to go?
Cronenberg: Finishing my novel right now, and I hope to be shooting Maps of the Stars in May, written by Bruce Wagner. However, it is an indie project which means, therefore, that it could fall apart.
But he also says this is an indie film and things change...such as this excerpt from Details online magazine:
DETAILS: Maps to the Stars is supposed to start shooting in May. Have you been able to sign Robert Pattinson, Viggo Mortensen, and Rachel Weisz?
DAVID CRONENBERG: I don't think Viggo will be able to do it, but with the other two, so far, so good. Have they signed? No. But they have a verbal commitment if everything works out and if other things don't come along. It's still very possible for the three of them, but it's far from certain. That's life in the indie film world.
Hmmmm....so Viggo is more likely out than in BUT could be in since things change everyday. We'll keep you posted!

The info regarding Rob we know already but David's interviews are great reads. Take a look to learn more about Cosmopolis, Cronenberg's filmmaking process and more!

Robert Pattinson talks about The Rover being one of the best scripts he's read and his parents reaction to filming in Iraq

Robert Pattinson talks about The Rover being one of the best scripts he's read and his parents reaction to filming in Iraq

I know some of you can't see the video but the article from MTV quoted the best parts of what Rob said:
"It's a really tough script," he told MTV News while promoting "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2." "I don't really know, I don't even know how to talk about it yet. It's one of the best I've read. It's one of my top five favorite scripts I've read since I started doing this. It's really nerve-racking."
Nerve-racking as "The Rover" is, it pales in comparison to the real-life dangers presented by "Mission: Blacklist," Pattinson's upcoming war movie based on the true story of Army interrogator Eric Maddox, who was involved in the capture of Saddam Hussein. The role requires Pattinson to film in Iraq, which understandably made his family members uncomfortable at first — but the actor thinks his loved ones are beginning to warm up to the idea.
"My parents seem to be coming around to it now," he said with a laugh. "That's strange. I don't know what happened."

Robert Pattinson's producer for Queen of the Desert drops a hint on filming time frame

I feel like I'm watching a horse race...

We had Mission: Blacklist in the lead until The Rover pulled ahead only to be set back by Queen of the Desert from far behind but in the final moments, The Rover wins by a nose!

Queen of the Desert producer has an update on when the film will be shot.:
PhotobucketPhotobucket

The Rover filming dates are currently Jan-March 2013 so we'll see how this all rolls out. Rob is not the lead in The Rover or Queen of the Desert so we don't know how much time he's required on set. We're going to have to wait and see.

Another cool tweet from the producer talking about his two stars:

Round-up Of "Breaking Dawn" Filming Updates From Yesterday

New Pic of Isle Esme yesterday with the window blocked off and a security boat keeping watch

Photobucket

So you may or may not have been keeping track on twitter of what was going down in Rio with the "Breaking Dawn" Filming yesterday.

So just in case you missed anything here's a round-up.

Filming at Isle Esme started around 10:30 am with scenes being shot inside the house. The scenes weren't shot in order (which is not unusual). So they filmed the morning after scenes first (bruises and phone call) and the hot and steamy scenes were being shot later on that night.

There was only a few people on the set. Rob, Kristen, about 2 or 3 cameramen and Bill.
It hasn't been confirmed if Steph was there or not but it has been "rumoured" that she was present at the filming of the bedroom scenes (You better give me what I've been waiting for Steph) Hands up who wants to be Steph for a day? In particular yesterday? Imagine seeing that first hand........Oh God I don't think I could stay quiet watching. I'd probably be biting my tongue.

Anyway back on track...........

Then they moved onto the beach where "according" to a fan there, Kristen recorded the waterfall scene in a white bikini and shorts.
"Rumour" also has it that it was Steph's idea that Kristen wear shorts over her swimsuit for that scene! (WTF Steph ??)

There was a boat full of papz at the island pointing to the house where they were staying (the production house), not the house that they were filming at, although as you can see from the photo above they didn't have much chance of getting any pics as the house was bocked off and there was a security boat on patrol. (We should have sent them some underwater diving gear so they could get up close and personal)

The water sex scene wrapped at 1am. (God what I wouldn't give for some pics!) Bill Condon was very happy.
Filming should wrap today just a few details left to shoot.

It's said that Rob and Kristen are to leave Brazil Saturday

So there you have it, you're all up to date now with what went on in Rio yesterday!

Ooh and freaky fact time.
Mackenzie Foy, who as you know, is playing Renesmee celebrated her birthday yesterday which is a bit strange seeing as they were busy filming Renesmee's "creation" scene!

Thanks to Mona for that bit of info

And here's another News Report From Brazil

WRCBTV News Report: Fans Are Robsessed

WRCBTV News Report: Fans Are Robsessed

Really Robsessed? Who thought??? {giggle}

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - It was another day in movie paradise. Thursday crews were back at it again, setting scenes for "Water for Elephants".

Channel 3 has learned Robert Pattinson will arrive in North Georgia this weekend.

As we were first to report on Wednesday, a local family will rent their home to the movie studio for the scenes.

The actors haven't even arrived yet, but Robert Pattinson could greet the rising sun Friday in Chickamauga, and possibly head to Chattanooga.

Thursday we watched tons of fans take pictures and get a glimpse of the home where Pattinson will leave his mark on North Georgia. From the antique cars, to the dated laundry hanging from clothes pins, a set for "Water for Elephants" is getting closer to completion in Chickamauga, Georgia.

The movie, set in the 1930s, will star Reece Witherspoon and Hollywood heart-throb Robert Pattinson.

"I love him, and my daughter-in-law really loves him. She is going to be mad if I see him and she doesn't," Jane Martin says.

From the two lane road in Chickamauga fans could see bicycles, props, antique furniture on the front porch and even curtains through the windows where Pattinson could soon look out.

Pictures were snapped and video was shot by "Edward" fans Thursday, hoping to catch a moment in movie history.

"I can't imagine more people not wanting to come out and film, its just amazing they found this place in the middle of no where," Debbie Angermeier says.

From Chickamauga to Chattanooga we spotted movie mania everywhere.

The Chattanooga Railroad Museum hosted many of the films crews Thursday as they scoped out rail cars, and the Sheraton Read House had trucks parked outside the building with what looked like costumes for the film.

While many of the crews are trying to keep much of the filming a secret, the thought of Robert Pattinson coming to the Tennessee Valley has women of all ages drooling a little bit.

"I think this is just the coolest thing ever! It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for something to happen like this," Kim Wallin says.

Filming could start as early as Friday in Chickamauga. We checked out Pattinson's official fan website and it said filming in LA wrapped up Wednesday, and he was headed to Chickamauga, Georgia.

Security will be very tight.

We do want to point out the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum will be closed on Monday and Tuesday for what might be filming.

CHICKAMAUGA, GA. (WRCB) - A family in North Georgia is about to become part of movie history. Carol Cross says her husband and his brother own the home where scenes of the movie Water for Elephants will be shot later on this week.

The Cross family says they were approached about the film in the spring. Since that time numerous film crews have traveled back and forth to Chickamauga, Georgia to scout and prepare the site.

"A man just approached him and asked him who owned the house and wanted to know if it would be ok if they considered shooting a movie there, "Carol Cross says.

The family says crews spent months and miles on the interstate trying to find the perfect location to shoot the scenes dating back to the 1930's.

"It has no electricity it has no water, no one has lived in it for 12 years," Cross says.

Channel 3 Eyewitness News has learned actor Robert Pattinson, famous for the Twilight movie series, will be coming to Chickamauga later this week to film scenes.

Much of the equipment used to shoot the movie is being held at the Chattanooga Choo Choo hotel.

"Sure we are going to be part of the history and there is gonna be people talking about this for years to come," Cross says.

Choo Choo officials wanted us to make it very clear they have extra security on the scene for the movie equipment.

We have also learned film crews will also shoot at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum.

"Breaking Dawn" Filming In Louisiana?

"Breaking Dawn" Filming In Louisiana?

Remember this is only a rumour.

Photobucket

From Nola.com

Two new developments arrive this morning related to the whisperings that Summit Entertainment is considering shooting the next film in the "Twilight" series (which may actually be two films) somewhere in Louisiana.

One of them doesn't say a whole lot. The other, however, seems to be significantly more telling as to exactly how serious Summit Entertainment is about moving the production here.

First, Summit this morning (Monday, May 17) responded to my inquiry of last week for comment on the rumors, first reported in a story in The Hollywood Reporter that relied on an unnamed source for its inside information.

he studio's statement came a few days too late for my story -- which ran in Saturday's editions of The Times-Picayune -- and it was unsuprisingly vague. Here's it is, in its entirety: "No details have been confirmed regarding 'Breaking Dawn' aside from the fact that Bill Condon will be directing."

Insert shrug here.

The second, more telling, development comes in the form of incorporation papers filed last week with the Louisiana Secretary of State's office by an agent for Summit and establishing a new corporate entity called "TSBD LOUISIANA, L.L.C." -- which would seem to stand for "Twilight: Saga Breaking Dawn."

Of course, filing incorporation papers is a long way from booking soundstages and crewing up -- but as early signs go, it's a good one that there might be truth to these rumors.

"Twilight: Breaking Dawn" would be based on the fourth book in the popular vampire-romance series, and there has been talk that it could be broken into two movies. Summit is hoping to beging production this fall.

Thanks to Laura (who will be one happy lady if this is true) for the tip!
