Another press junket video for The Rover came out...it's dubbed in Italian though for Verissimo.



I tried to do a transcript. My ears are now bleeding.

I was really excited...I didn't quite know how I was going to do it....I was talking to David for like 8 months...about how he should look...it's a quite sad part but there's something about him that's quite funny.

Egads. If you understand Italian, you're in luck. Otherwise my ellipses are when it got a bit tough.

Lastly, there's no Rob mentions but if you're interested, we posted the Awards Ceremony from Cannes on our Maps To The Stars blog. Bruce Wagner, the screenwriter, accepted the award and you can watch his acceptance speech HERE.

• Rob was talking about Kristens gown in Berlin. First he was asked what outfit he is going to wear to top Kristens glamores robe on the red carpet in Berlin- he is going to wear anything :-) Ok this one was funny but they didn´t deserved it. The whole thing was all about K/R and their breakup or not blablaba not worth to translate. The to sexy thing was made to a question about the red carpet appearances of Kristen in LA and London, his answer: a woman could never be to sexy.

What do you have in common with Edward and did he teach you anything? 
Rob: I think I’m patient. I think (laughs) That’s how I would summarize it. And what did he teach me? I don’t know, not to be so introspective. I think in this film he comes out of his shell more. He stops thinking inwardly so much and tries to project himself outward. I think that’s important.

Are we going to see something with a fragrance? We’ve heard comments about Dior. You’re a stylish guy so why not? Everyone does it? 
Rob: I don’t know. I think there’d be some sort of announcement if it happens.

Have I said how much I HATE dubbing over Rob!? Well I do, I REALLY hate it.



You CAN hear what he's saying if you tune into his voice. But just in case you're having trouble here's a quick synopsis of what's said :

• He says he knows one word in Polish and then can't remember what it means LOL
• The interviewer says they asked fans on their website to send in questions and they just want to tell her to say hi and wanted her to thank Rob for giving them so many movies and she asks him if he realises how much of an impact he and his movies have on people all over the world
• Rob talks about people coming to events and premieres every year and camping out etc
• Talks about working with children
• Says after reading the book of Twilight how he thought he couldn't play the part because Edward is supposed to be so beautiful. He enjoyed the obsessive and bizarre part of the story in Twilight 
• He said it's very difficult to make love scenes look really easy
• Says being famous is fine but how Twitter, camera phones & TMZ ruin it and if he had been famous 20 years ago it's the greatest thing in the world

Rob:Its strange. Half of the sex scenes was not planned to be sex scenes. They should take place after the sex. The script said: "They just had sex", but David said on the day: "You have sex now". All my preparations, all the work and the huge dialogue scenes that I've thought about, I could throw away.

Has you girlfriend Kristen seen the movie?
Rob:Yeah, yeah

How did you prepare her for all these scenes with all these different women?
Rob:The only problem is, when the movie isn't good. And then there is the question: "Why are you doing this? Why are you playing so many sex scenes in such a bad movie? If it's interesting and believable, then everything is okay."

When did you decide to make your relationship official?

You did it again yesterday for another movie, for On the Road and you're going to do it again tomorrow for your first movie in competition. Cosmopolis by David Cronenberg, that's long-awaited. You said this movie changed you life. I quote from Premiere magazine: you said it gave you balls.
Rob: I don't know why everyone brings up the balls thing. I think it got lost in translation. I wanted to say that I got balls surgically attached to my body during the whole movie.

Michel: So it's the story of a golden boy working in finance, an adaptation from Don DeLillo's novel, Frédéric.
Frédéric: He's an AMmrican author that's very well-known who talked a lot about society and the dangers of finance. But also about power. I was thinking, I mean I'm sure you've read the book to prepare for the role but did you also study bankers or watch trader movies, Wall Street or American Psycho maybe to work on the role of Eric Packer, this dangerous banker? That was a long question.
Rob: I didn't think it was related to finances or traders. I liked the lyrical aspect of the script. I tried to prepared myself my own way like for my other roles. But it was pretty much impossible because there was no way to deal with this the normal way.
I don't know, there might be some inconscious aspects that come out of the character.
