MTV: Heartthrob Without A Date For Valentine's Day

MTV lists The Five Hottest Heartthrobs Without A Date For Valentine's Day and of course Rob is one of them.

Single on Valentine’s Day? Fret not, ladies, for you aren’t the only ones! We’ve rounded up the latest details on the lives of Hollywood’s hottest single guys. From the small-screen actor to the mega movie-stars to the pop singers, our top five guys may not always be perfect, but they’re guaranteed heartthrobs — and there is probably at least one that is well-suited for you!

Robert Pattinson - The actor became the crush-object of many "Twi-hards" when he assumed the role of vampire Edward Cullen in last year's blockbuster "Twilight.". Despite time off before "New Moon" begins filming in Vancouver, Pattinson hasn't left the spotlight. He caused quite the stir when he unexpectedly traded his signature wild locks for a closer crop, forcing many fans to examine how deep into the hairline their feelings really went. He also faced some scrutiny over the nature of his relationship with actress and Jonas' girlfriend Camilla Belle as she provided RPattz with some repeated red-carpet company. Even Joe and his brothers seem to be under his spell though, as they just expressed a desire to be on the "New Moon" soundtrack. If Bella Swann and the JoBros can't resist him, how can you? (Gozde: Well we don't even try to resist :))

Chubby Robbie :)

He wasn't kidding when he said he wasn't in a good shape in 2007 :)

This post is in no way negative, we like chubby Robbie :)

(Note 2: Alright already! He is not chubby, I take it back. I was kidding y'all! :))

And the chubbiest of them all:))

Por Ti and Notas Para Ti Translations

Once again Vale at Twilight Poison translated 2 Mexican Magazine Interviews with Rob. I am posting some highlights here and please visit her site to read the full interview :)

Por Ti Magazine:

They inteviewed Robert on his visit to Mexico city. This scan features exclusive pictures of Rob’s visit.
Here’s the translation of the interview:

This little English bon-bon personifies the sexy and enigmatic Edward Cullen. But when we met him we realized he’s nothing like his character. He’s the nicest and most shy guy on earth. Check out why:

Do you relate to him at all?
Sure, we try to be normal people. We don’t have fangs and we’re not affected by the sunlight at all (laughs).

Are you just as seductive as Edward?
(blushes) No, not at all!

Seriously, you’ve never had an intense love affair like Edward and Bella’s?
(laughs) I had a very intense relationship before, but never like Edward and Bella!

How has your life changed now that you’re famous?
I’m a little confused, especially when girls pass out or when they ask me to bite their necks (laughs).

Notas Para Ti Magazine:

Humble, light hearted and a little scruffy. This is how we found Robert Pattinson, who contrary to what people believe, he doesn’t like fame, he’s got his feet on the ground and he has a hard time hooking up. Impossible not to love him!

A very Nice vampire.

How much has your life changed since Twilight?
It’s changed a lot. I’m still the same person, of course. I haven’t gotten used to the fans’ signs of generosity.

Do you relate yourself to the character?
He has a lot of self-doubt just like me. He’s not very good at socializing either.

What did you like the most about being in this movie?
I loved feeling connected to something, feeling commited into creating something new, a new world. I don’t have much of a life outside acting, actually.

Do you believe in vampires?
It would be cool if they existed, but I have my doubts.

What’s your strategy to win over so many girls?
I can’t reveal that, it’s a secret. I have a hard time hitting on girls.

What has been the funniest fan experience you’ve gonne through?
Most of the girls who support me are cool and they behave. But I’ve gone to fan signing events and I find hundreds of thousands of girls waiting for me. Some have passed out.

Have you ever had an intense love affair like Edward and Bella?
Yes, I went through many amazing things with my ex-girlfriend. But never as hard or tough as they did(Gozde: oh the double meaning:)).

If you could change one thing about Twilight, what would it be?
I don’t know what to change. It’s captivated so many people. But maybe I would make Edward less perfect (laughs).

Before Twilight, you were in a movie about Salvador Dali. Tell us a bit about this project…
It’s was very fun and I understand they gave me the role because I’m just as crazy as Dali. (Gozde: hear hear :))But I hated that everyone spoke in Spanish on set except me, so I missed all the jokes. Either way, I’m very pleased with my work in it and I hope Mexican fans can watch it.

If you were not an actor, what would you like to be?
Pianist, or play writer.

Do you like horror movies?
I love them, my favorite is The Excorcist. It’s the most original story ever.

Casting Requirements for Edward Cullen

It looks like the marketing campaign for Catherine Hardwicke's book is in overdrive. This is from MTV Blogs:

The result (the book) is a fascinating peek into the mind of the former Production Designer, whose scribbled notations include “As Bella falls in love, she starts to dress a little more feminine – floral prints, more form-fitting, etc.” and the casting requirements she had while casting Edward:

- Pale skin
- Looks like he is 17
- Great actor
- Great chemistry with Kristen
- Best looking guy in the world.

And did they find the guy they were looking for? We think they did :))

Myparkmag recycles but we already posted them anyways :)

I've been getting a lot of emails about the things myparkmag posts about Rob. They just recycle old articles or interviews and make them sound scandalous/new to get hits. They never link to the original articles and pretty much steal their content.

Here are the latest "news" that go around which are actually old news and have been posted on ROBsessed :))

No worries ladies, we always keep you up to date with Rob :)

Tyra Banks asked him to bite her neck. Thousands of girls swarm him in the street – and malls. Twilight DVD Will Include Deleted Make Out Scenes

Click on the picture for larger view

EW.com has Catherine Hardwicke's Twilight Diary: A Sneak Peak.

The Diary which is a detailed on set journal that Catherine kept during filming will come out on March 17th!

From EW.com:

Hardwicke has given EW an exclusive first peek at Twilight: Director’s Notebook, which looks less like a diary than a scrapbook, studded with drawings, makeup and wardrobe notes, storyboards, lists, sketches, photos, and all kinds of odd nuggets of information (did you know Rob was first tricked out with hair extensions to give him his trademark look)? Hardwicke's publisher will only allow us to put two pages online, so to see the rest, you’ll have to pick up a copy of the Feb. 20 issue of EW, available here.

Hardwicke told EW that although she was “devastated” to not be directing New Moon—“I really did feel a strong connection to Stephenie and the actors” —she simply couldn’t do it under the terms Summit set forth, with a limited budget and strict timetable. The book is her smart, funny farewell, its margins full of her doodlings and ideas.

But the book isn’t the only thing fans have to look forward to. They’ll also be able to snap up the Twilight DVD on March 21. Its bonus materials, Hardwicke told EW, will include makeout scenes deleted from the movie. (Gozde: Can I get a "Wooohooo!"?:)

Have you ever been in love?

I've never fallen in love. I've never experienced it, but it must be amazing to say "I absolutely need you". I feel that way about a burger! Also, if I'm not sure she is interested I won't go near. It has to be a sure thing!" (Gozde: Rob, I'm a sure thing :))

Forbes Star Currency: Criteria for Ranking Actors

When ranking each actor, voters were asked to consider a number of elements regarding the actor's participation in a film as they applied in the market at the time of the survey. Criteria used were:

--The amount of financing that flows to a project is significantly determined by the individual actor's presence in a film.

--The individual actor's presence in a film guarantees theatrical distribution.

--The individual actor's presence significantly drives the film's theatrical box-office performance.

Well if this is indeed the criteria Rob should be SO much higher on the list. How many of us saw Twilight more than once just for Rob? The movie made $349 mil to date and the budget was only $37mil.

He will be much higher in next year's list for sure...

Blast from the Past - GOF Interview

This interview is from virginmedia.com. It is from before the release of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005). He talks about being offered a trilogy. What do you think it might have been?

Robert Pattinson is soon to hit it big when he appears in the new Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire movie. We caught up for a chat about his new role, "epic-ness" and a band called Bad Girls...

VM:
So, with the release of the new film coming up your life must be pretty mad at the moment?
Robert Pattinson: Since I started acting it's kind of been a bit mad. I never really did anything before and two years ago I started acting and I've kind of been in work ever since. Then Harry Potter came along and it's been a huge step and a massive event in my life.

VM: Has it been that different from the other roles you've had?
Robert Pattinson: Yeah, things like special effects, which are probably one of the strangest things to go into if you have never done acting before. I did a lot of special effects in my last films so it kind of helped, but on a smaller scale. The scale of Harry Potter is huge, people have been working on it for four or five years. There are 2000 people working on the set - not many films can afford that kind of "epic-ness". I did a tiny amount of work on Vanity Fair which doesn't quite match the standard of Harry Potter... oops... don't put that, sorry, what was the question?!

VM: Did you feel accepted onto the set of an already established cast?
Robert Pattinson: I didn't know how I would be interpreted so I went into Harry Potter determined to seem like a real actor and kind of didn't speak to anyone for a while. I didn't notice the transition to being accepted, but they are all really nice people. It seems like it should have been daunting but it wasn't. We did a bonding week where we made fools of ourselves doing lots of improvising. I paired up with Rupert a lot.

VM: Do you guys socialise off set?
Robert Pattinson: Yeah, I'm really good friends with Stan and Katie. We were all in the same boat as we all started new and I started on the same day as Stan. Stan and I did a lot of on-screen stuff together so we bonded well. All the cast are really nice but they are always busy, always, always on set.

VM: It must have been jaw-dropping to work with such established adult actors.
Robert Pattinson: Yes definitely, they make it look so easy. I mean you watch and think, "I could do that". They can do a lot of stuff in one take. Working with young people changes your attitude and they're a lot more lenient as they've been working with kids for five years. If you're an idiot they just accept it! That helped a lot.

VM: Have you always dreamed of getting on the silver screen or was it just a case of right time right place?
Robert Pattinson: I never did acting at school. I was quite shy throughout my life. My dad and I were at a restaurant and noticed this group of pretty girls nearby and for some reason decided to ask where they had just been. They mentioned the local acting school and since then he had nagged me about attending. At one point he said he would pay me which is pretty strange - I don't know what his intentions were, but I went. My dad said to me the other day: "I really am an artistic person". I was shocked as I never saw him as a creative. I think me and my sisters are living out that side of him as my sister is another creative person, she's a songwriter.

VM: So what ultimately landed you the role?
Robert Pattinson: I just finished filming for the other role in South Africa, Cape Town. I was there for three months in an apartment at just 17! It was ridiculous, so I came back really confident. The casting agent on Vanity Fair was the same as the one on Harry Potter and I was the first person to be seen for any part on the film, which could have helped. I am now determined to do really weird parts but I think I overdo it in auditions so nobody really trusts me!

VM: Did you find your role in Harry Potter physically demanding?
Robert Pattinson: Bits of it. It's a very physical part, the stuff in the maze which was done in the beginning was all on huge action sets. The hedges were huge and hydraulically operated. I got hit by stuff, getting pulled around by ropes, and Dan and I were running around punching each other so it was kind of vicious! There was a lot of underwater stuff which I quite liked, it got therapeutic after a while. I had never scuba dived before and the tank they taught us in was a little bath tub. The real thing was massive, like 60 feet deep and they expect you to just get in and act.

VM: What are your next steps after Harry Potter?
Robert Pattinson: I wanted to try theatre after Harry Potter and I wanted to do something weird. I was offered an American thing where I had to sign up to three movie contracts and I dunno... I don't really know what I should be doing yet, so I prefer to do nothing really! There was one script that I really, really liked. I got down to the last two and they picked the other guy which was a bit annoying.

VM:
We hear you're a bit of a musician. How seriously do you take the music side of things?
Robert Pattinson: Well, I'm not really that good. I am in a band at the moment called Bad Girls. The band belongs to my first girlfriend's current boyfriend and he was having an open mic night. He invited me to sing, but it was just a bit of fun - that was about six months ago. I don't know where that's going to go.

VM: Are you looking for a recording contract?
Robert Pattinson: I don't think people should look for a contract. My sister works so hard to make money and I think it ruins you, I think it's a lot easier to make money in the acting world, not that it's easier but there aren't so many pressures on you. You don't have to be so humble, where in the music industry you have to really bow down to a lot of people to get noticed.

VM: As Harry Potter is after Cedric's girlfriend, did this cause any conflict in any way, shape, or form in real life?
Robert Pattinson:
Er no, I think Dan could steal anyone from me. If I was a girl I would pick Dan!

All the crazies in LA are going after Robert Pattinson

First it was Courtney Love and her crazy attempt to fix Rob up with her underage daughter now it is Paris Hilton trying to get her claws on him. Feel free to throw up in your mouths and bitch at the comments section.

RUN Rob! Run for the hills!

From eonline.com:

Watch out, Robert Pattinson!

It sounds like Paris Hilton wouldn't mind sinking her teeth into you.

"I just saw Twilight last night for the first time, and I have to say that I think Rob is a beautiful man and an amazing actor," Hilton gushed to us at Cash Money Records' Lil Wayne party. "He's fabulous!"

Yes, Hilton realizes she's a little a late to the Twilight game...

"Now I understand all the hype," she explained. "I just didn't get it before, but now it all makes sense. I really enjoyed the movie and loved watching Rob in it."

Gozde: You wouldn't understand all the hype since you probably don't even know how to read, never heard of the books and thought Twilight was a Discovery Channel movie about the wonders of the world.

Now go and cleanse your minds/souls with the .gif spam I posted below :))
