Robert Pattinson Doesn't Drink and Drive

Well I sure hope not with his self admitted "amazing" driving abilities :))

Yet another reason to love Robert Pattinson—the hearthrob uses a designated driver when he's had a few.

Last night a Celebuzz spy caught the vampire hottie at The Bar, a watering hole on the edge of Hollywood, Ca.

"He was sharing champagne with his group, passing it freely to others in the bar," the source says of the actor, who also noted RPattz was in very good spirits and, naturally, looking "very hot."

What's better? At the end of the evening, with encouragement from his crowd, Pattinson resisted driving home and accepted a ride to a friend's house.

Hopefully the star got some shut eye, as Pattinson told the group he's headed to Vancouver, BC today to begin production on New Moon, the sequel to the blockbuster Twilight.

This is the second consecutive party night for Pattinson (on the heels of a Japanese press tour), who stopped by Hollywood bistro La Poubelle on Sunday night for dinner with a group of three

New Behind the Scenes Video of Robward

How To Be: Available on Cable on April 29!!!

I felt like a squeee was building in my chest when I saw this...then I remembered I no longer live in the US...*sigh*

But YAY! for all of of you that do :))

From MTV.com:

Robert Pattinson in "How to Be"

In the months since RPattz's career explosion, this tiny independent film has become a phenomenon. Filmed in early 2007, the flick stars Rob as a young musician seeking wisdom from a self-help guru — and "Twilight" fans have been traveling hundreds of miles for its current cinema tour. "Cinequest we just did; it went really well," producer Justin Kelly said of a recent date at a San Jose film festival. "It's insane; people fly across three states to see it. It's fantastic."

Where to See It: The Independent Film Channel's Festival Direct service will make the film available April 29 on cable providers Bright House, Cablevision, Charter, Comcast, Cox, Insight and Time Warner. "We're supporting IFC's release with the cinema tour," Kelly explained.

Kristen Stewart Embraces Her Inner Sex Kitten

First the finger bite then this :)) Purrrrrrrrrrr.....

From celebuzz.com:

Kristen Stewart Gets Downright Sexy Describing Pattinson's Bite

A very hot-blooded Kristen Stewart described how good it felt to be bitten by Robert Pattinson.

As Pattinson and Taylor Lautner looked on at a Japanese meet-and-greet while promoting the film last week, a nervous Japanese fan asked Stewart the question on everyone's mind.

It took a lot for the Japanese questioner to get the question out. She was stammering and her voice was cracking to such an extent that others in the room was giggling. Finally it came: "How did you feel when Robert bit you?" the fan asked.

Stewart took a playful look at Pattinson to her left and asked, "Well, how do you think it felt?"

Before the answer could he even be translated, she answered her own question. "(It) was so much better!"

Cold fish Stewart? Forget about it. Instant volcanic heat blast. The response had Pattinson blushing and Lautner slapping his knee while the audience broke into waves of wild laughter as it was translated. Even the translators were laughing.

The questioner pressed her luck and asked, "Which was better, being bitten or kissed by Pattinson?" There were more playfully flirty looks by the couple in question on the podium, but Stewart fell short of answering.

"I don't know," she shrugged.

The translator gave the appropriate translation in Japanese. "No comment."

Well hot-blooded Kristen was fun while it lasted.

Robert Suggests Something and We Run to Buy It

From examiner.com:

Robert Pattinson's suggestion of Ticket to Ride by Dennis Potter makes it a newly big hit

In a few interviews, Rob Pattinson, who plays our beloved Edward Cullen from the Twilight Series, has been asked to recommend books, movies, music, etc.

Yet, it may come as a surprise to him just how much us Twilight fans take his recommendations to heart.

As of March 3, 2009, there are 21 bids on a paperback version of Dennis Potter's Ticket to Ride, a recommendation made by Rob off-handed in a few interviews. The going rate? Over $80.00.

I am no exception to this plague of RPtaz intrigue. Though I had heard of the book and wanted to buy it many years ago, I was quite intrigued to find that Mr. Pattinson so vehemently recommended it to his fans. I was able to find it for much less than the apparent going rate, though, and I'll be happy to provide a review of it very soon.

Amazon.com is averaging $123.50 for the book, holding very few copies in stock.

And just "What Do Customers Ultimately Buy After Viewing This Item?" Amazon asks, and answers. Well according to its own information, most of them buy the movie, the collection of books, or the movie companion. No surprise there.

It just may be that Robert Pattinson is unaware of the dazzling his non-human form can still have on us wee-humans, as I saw a few of the paperback books on sale, claiming not to be in very great condition, for a little over $200.00.

As promised, a review of the book will be up shortly to put that digging urge to know to bed for many of Robert's fans. In fact, I may even be willing to sell my book to a loyal reader at cost if they should so show the interest. That has yet to be determined.

More From Tokyo Since We Can NEVER Get Enough :)

Tha fabulous Twilight Singapore has tons of pictures and recaps from the fan event in Tokyo. I am posting some videos here and you can go check out their page for more :)

Forgive me God for I have sinned looking at these :)

The look on their faces here: Priceless :)

Part 1: Fans took their seats and mingled with each other. The organizing committee for the event ensures that everything is in check before the Fan Meeting starts. The press people are constantly filming and snapping pictures away. Towards the end of the video, the host begins her speech. (I’m sorry that I am unable translate what she said. I think she’s informing the fans about what will be happening in a few minutes time. Just some brief information, I guess.)

Part 2: The lights dimmed…[INSERT FANGIRL SCREAMS HERE]!!!! ‘Supermassive Black Hole’ by Muse was played and the host came out to welcome the fans! She thanked the lucky fans for attending the Fan Meeting from all over the world. You can very well notice that the atmosphere here was different compared to the Press Conference :D ‘Decode’ by Paramore was played and the cast came out from the backstage…[INSERT FANGIRL SCREAMS HERE AGAIN] to greet the fans!

Part 3: Q&A!!! YES, THE PART THAT MOST OF YOU HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!!! *Coughs-How Does It Feel Like Kissing Robert-Coughs* :D :D :D

Part 4: The lucky draw and game begins!

Robert, Kristen and Taylor will pull out 20 numbers from a box. These numbers are actually the seat numbers of the fans. So the 20 fans will have to come out to the front and play another lucky draw. After which, finally there will be 6 lucky fans who get to spend dinner with our 3 stars!

Part 5: Cast say their thanks and final farewell to the fans. End of the Twilight movie promotion. They’ll be back for NEW MOON! :D

Rob is back in L.A.!

From E! Online:

Robert Pattinson is back in the U.S.!

I just got word that our favorite British import was in Los Angeles last night, fresh from a quick trip to Tokyo to promote Twilight with his costars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.

So what was Pattinson up to?

He was spotted at about 11:30 p.m. finishing dinner with three others at an outside table at La Poubelle, a French bistro in Hollywood.

And we're happy to report that it looks like he picked up the tab, because he was seen signing the credit card receipt, according to a fellow diner.

Now the big question is, will Pattinson pop up at this month's Twilight at Midnight parties? It was announced today that retailers across the country will be open March 20 from 10 p.m. to midnight to launch the release of the hit movie's DVD.

Rumor has it that stars from the flick will actually make surprise appearances at some of the vampire-themed soirees.

Little Ashes Gets the Stamp of Approval

Our lovely, beautiful and all around awesome MiCh found this in the Spanish newspaper EL PAĂŤS and translated it for us :) It is a very interesting article. Thank you MiCh~Enjoy...

EVERYONE WANTS TO BE DALI - Catalina Sierra
From Pacino to Banderas, several Hollywood stars are chasing the genius' mustache

What is it about Dali that suddenly, there is a fever in Hollywood to make a movie about the surrealist painter from Port Lligat? In mid-April will be released in Spain the biopic 'Sin Limites' (Little Ashes), in which Robert Pattinson (famous for his role as a vampire in Twilight) plays the artist, but other several actors -with a more illustrous name- want the painter's mustache: Antonio Banderas, Al Pacino, Johnny Deep and Peter O'Toole. The subject is vast, of course, and it's full of great and juicy anecdotes to make hours and hours of films.

But the fact is that all these other projects are facing the opposition of Gala-Salvador DalĂ Foundation, owner of the rights of all the paintings of the artist. The Foundation wants to ensure that all these hypothetical films don't mess up their 15 years of efforts to reposition the painter in the history of the "serious" art of the 20th Century, far away from all the scandals, troubles and all kind of legends about Dali, including the rumored counterfeit of his artwork of his last years.

"The last thing we need is a bad film about DalĂ to be successful," says Joan Manuel Sevillano, general manager of the Foundation, explaining how in the past six years, at least 11 scripts have passed trough his hands, all of them trying to convey the artist's life. Except for 'Sin Limites' (Little Ashes), none has obtain the blessing of the Foundation. "Dali's life is enoughly interesting to invent things about it. Censorship is not our intention, we only try that all the films approach his life in a respectful way, without trivialization or inventing stuff. We don't want to hide anything, but Hollywood can change the history and that's the reason we are very strict."

'Sin Limites' (Little Ashes), a modest Spanish-British production which has cost around three million of euros, is focused on a young Dali and the relationship that the artist established in Residencia de Estudiantes with Federico García Lorca (Javier Beltrán) and Luis Buñuel (Matthew McNulty). The film, produced in Spain by Factotum Barcelona and with a script written by Philippa Goslett, portrays several tough issues, like the alleged homosexual relationship between Lorca and Dali. The Foundation, in the words of Sevillano, doesn't have objections about this issue, addressed by several biographies, "if the filmmakers approach it in the same ambiguous way that Dali always spoke about it".

The Fondation does not approve the project of Andrew Niccol (director of movies like 'Gattaca' and 'The Truman Show') who wants to bring to life the controversial book 'DalĂ y yo. Una historia surreal' (Dali and me. A surreal story) by Stan Lauryssens, with Al Pacino as the protagonist.

The book is an alleged autobiography of Lauryssens, who confesses how he counterfeited several Dalis and explains impossible dialogues with friends and colleagues of the artist in an apparent visit to Cadaqués. Those friends "revealed" to the writer all the sexual perversions of the painter, as well as his alleged collusion in the counterfeits. The Foundation, through the law firm Roca Junyent Abogados Asociados, has already begun in the Figueres Court the tramits of the lawsuit for defamations and slanders against Lauryssens "and the laysuit could be extended to the publisher or whoever is necessary", says Sevillano.

The manager of the Foundation, who has traveled several times to Los Angeles to meet some producers, actually sent a letter to Al Pacino's agent explaining the situation and asking him "to not be reduced" agreeing with this production. In fact, when Pacino was in Madrid last year, the actor himself said he wanted to play Dali, but added: "I have not read a well-rounded script and I won't make the movie until a good script is written".

Antonio Banderas has finally agreed to get into the skin of the artist, and has announced that he will shortly begin the shooting of 'DalĂ', directed by Simon West (Tomb Raider). The movie will cover the whole life of the artist and will have animation scenes of his paitings. This script does not have the permision of the Foundation.

"I have spoken several times with West, clarifying our position", he adds. "All we ask is modify the script. Of course, they can try to shoot it anyway, but anyone who makes a movie about Dali without permits, will have serious problems with us. And so far, we have not lost any trial".

On the other two projects announced some time ago, there is nothing positive about them, only a lot of rumors. About the film with Peter O'Toole, 'Goodbye Dali', there are no solid news. As for Johnny Deep, who initially wanted to direct and portray the painter, it seems like he's still looking for a script. The good news is that there are tons of documentation available to write a script.

Can't decide where to buy the Twilight DVD from?

There are so many choices. So many different "Special Editions". Where should you buy it from? Well, anna ([info]petalouda8) on LJ Lion_lamb compiled all editions in a post. You can check it out HERE.

Borders has a great set but Target and HMV (Canada) has the 3 minute piano montage with Rob! I am so hating on Summit right now. I've never seen this many different DVD sets released for a movie before! They'd better increase Rob's pay! After all that's why most of us are buying the DVD.

[PAGE 68]
Ah, Robert…
Some movies have the power to bust an actor’s career. It was like that for Leo DiCaprio and Titanic, Zac Efron and High School Musical and, now, the same happens with Robert Pattinson and Twilight. Unless you are a superfan of the Harry Potter series (and have noticed that Cedric Diggory was quite cute), it’s very likely that many girls have only appreciated Rob after watching the movie that tells the love story between Edward and Bella. Hold on: Haven’t seen the movie? Nor read the book? So, check the box on the side to learn about the story. And let’s go back to Rob…
Remember this name
As we’ve told before on page 8, Rob is one of our bets for 2009. For the next few months he’ll be quite busy with the shooting of New Moon, the Twilight sequel. Besides, there are other movies with him premiering like, Little Ashes, in which he plays the surrealistic painter Salvador DalĂ (his hair was dyed black for the role) and, How to Be, in which he plays a 20+ years old artist who has to deal with the challenges of growing up and firm himself up in his career.
Besides all of that, this British guy with piercing eyes and untamed hair (but that also looks great with short hair – his newest look) has already earned several comparisons to some important actors such as Jude Law. All this because not only he’s gorgeous but also very hard-working: worked out to play Edward and goes deep when studying for a role.
“The hardest thing for Robert in Twilight was to have to wear contacts”

[PAGE 69]
Gossiping
Yes, you already know his career is promising. But what about those “curiosities” we always want to know when we´re into a guy? Ok, here are a few:
• Some rumors say that he would be dating Nikki Reed, the actress who played Rosalie in Twilight. There are several pictures around the internet of him and Camila Belle (yes, the Jonas Brothers´ one) but he´s already said that they´re just god friends (are they?);
• He enjoys going out. And he always looks gorgeous when he does (usually dressed in t-shirt + jacket + jeans);
• Even though he is very good at the piano and the guitar and he has 2 songs (Never Think and Let me sign) on the Twilight soundtrack, Rob wants to keep investing most of his time in acting. However, on “Artist on Artist” (www.myspace.com/artistonartist), talking to Hayley, from Paramore, he said he´d love to make a duet with her…;
• He does some private shows, only for friends, once in a while;
• Rob´s already said that he thinks girls are a little complicated and he´s never felt a love so intense as Edward feels for Bella;
• Before becoming an actor, he did some modeling work. Including a very odd one: “hand model” for catalogs. He thinks his hands are feminine (we don´t know if that´s true but judging by the rest of him, they must be very nice, right?).

[The red box tells the story of Twilight, which, I believe, everyone knows already, eh?]

[PAGE 70]
“At first, Rosalie was called Carol, and Jasper was called Ronald”
Stephenie´s word
It was from a hyper-realistic dream of Stephenie Meyer that Edward and Bella came out. Chapter 13 of the book, “Confessions” is exactly the author´s dream and she woke up she felt she had to start writing it. Thank God, right? With the word now, the author of Twilight and the other books of the series:
FORKS? “The first thing we worked on was the title, which in the beginning was Forks”.
NAMING THE CHARACTERS: “For my vampire, I decided to use a name that was considered romantic in the old times but has lost popularity lately. Charlotte Brönte´s Mr. Rochester and Jane Austen´s Mr. Ferrars were the characters that influenced me into naming him Edward… My leading lady was more complicated. No name I gave her sounded right. After spending a long time with her, I loved like a daughter and no name seemed right. Finally, inspired by that love, I gave her the name I was saving for my daughter… Isabella. Aff! Edward and Bella were baptized”.
VOICES: “During all this time, Edward and Bella were, literally, voices in my head. They just wouldn´t shut up. I stayed up late as much as I could, trying to put on the computer everything that was on my mind and afterwards, exhausted, I´d drag myself to bed and another conversation would start in my head. I´d hate to forget anything so I´d get up and go back to the computer. At the end I´d take a notebook and a pen to my bedside table to make notes so I could get a little sleep. It was always a challenge, in the morning, when I tried to decipher what I´d written in the dark”.

Robert Pattinson – Chatting with the actor about Twilgiht, fame and career
TT: You and Kristen have a lot of chemistry. Do you think it´s possible to cultivate this kind of thing or you either have it or don´t?
Rob: “In a certain way I think it´s possible to cultivate it. You need to be very committed to it, but with Kristen there was definitely something from the beginning and I felt that everything was good. on the other side, if you stay in character all the time this eventually starts to show”.
TT: So this means you stayed in character?
Rob: Well, something like that. I mean, I didn´t talk too much. I thought it would be better – oh no, I´m revealing my secrets! (laughs). But I thought the best way to do this was to not say anything to the rest of the cast. So I wouldn´t talk to anyone about anything, except the movie”.
TT: Like Edward, you look a little bit off the normal standards – do you think you relate to him in that sense?
Rob: “Yes, I think I try to portray the character kind of like that, because I realized he´s described as “correct” under so many aspects in the book and I didn´t see how I could play that in a way that was attractive to people who hadn´t read the book”.
TT: How do you think Edward is “correct”?
Rob: “He´s formal and old-fashioned. This works in the book because you can hear everything on Bella´s thoughts but if you stay purely on this image it wouldn´t work. So I tried to make him look a little bit more unpredictable”.
TT: Why do you think the book created this entire phenomenon?
Rob: “I think it´s a little bit of many things. When I read the book for the first time there wasn´t this hype around it, I read it and thought it was weird… It looked like the author thought she was Bella because there are so many things about Edward that are too specific. So, in many ways you feel like a voyeur and this was one of the weird things that let me down a little, to be honest, but when I started working on the part that was I liked the most about the book”.
TT: Lots of girls feel like they don´t belong anywhere. Do you think the fact that Edward and Bella are kind of “strangers on the nest” was what attracted readers and viewers the most?
Rob: “Yes, definitely. That is what I thought the story was about… It´s about “strangers on the nest” and that´s what makes them interesting, particularly Bella, because she isn´t an obvious stranger. She´s very likeable. Everyone likes her but in her own head she´s always thinking: I´m missing something. I can´t connect to this world”. It´s almost as if she hadn´t met Edward and had lived 108 years she would end up just like him. She would think she wasn´t supposed to be here. ‘I should be something more’ and that´s the kind of resemblance I think there is between them”.
TT: Acting is something you were forced to do or was it your choice?
Rob: “I don’t really like the process of acting. I prefer trying to create something, I like to do something more. I try and I create a character so that he´s memorable, this is the reason he´s been filmed. Every work I´ve done has mixed in a little of my own life and, at the same time, I try to put myself inside the movie. In each period of my life that was working on a different movie, I was a different person myself. I´ve had different friends and lifestyle completely different”.
GREEN BOX – page 79
Careful with fame
Lately Robert has been getting a lot of attention. Some fans have even camped outside of his apartment, among other crazy things. But the cutie is careful with the fact that he´s getting famous: “The more people tell you how good you are, more you´ll have to prove later on. And also, more people will try to push you down. It´s as if everyone was telling you how cool you are, and you haven´t even done anything (laughs). All your ambition is diverted and you don´t know what to do with yourself”.

Rob Stumps his Foot, Kristen Speaks Japanese

Kristen Stewart climbed on stage with co-stars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, and it looks like she did some extra homework when she pulled out an index card with Japanese written out phonetically for her to say a greeting to the audience. Okay, she looks moderately mortified, but as Robert said, "Kristen has beaten me once again."

You might have to turn up the volume halfway through to hear Robert speaking about his experience getting ready for Twilight, which is just now coming out in Japan (?!) admitting that he spent a lot of time alone.

You get also get behind-the-scenes footage of photocall awkwardness at the end! Pattinson fans, eat your hearts out.
