Can't decide where to buy the Twilight DVD from?

There are so many choices. So many different "Special Editions". Where should you buy it from? Well, anna ([info]petalouda8) on LJ Lion_lamb compiled all editions in a post. You can check it out HERE.

Borders has a great set but Target and HMV (Canada) has the 3 minute piano montage with Rob! I am so hating on Summit right now. I've never seen this many different DVD sets released for a movie before! They'd better increase Rob's pay! After all that's why most of us are buying the DVD.

Yeah, this is seriously frustrating...it makes me feel like holding back to wait for reviews so I can get the one with the most complete "Rob" package and watch the other parts I missed on Youtube.~Chicago girl now in LA.

I am doing amazon b/c of the free shipping but dammit I would really like the target one for the included itunes download of the movie so I hear rob's voice on-the-go *hee*

You know I am just going to download the movie from iTunes so I can watch it either on my computer or iPhone and any extra's there are on these special edition DVD's will end up on YouTube and I will watch them there.

I will only by the DVD's to the Twilight Saga once all four films are completed.

Looks like I'll be getting the Borders one AND the Target one. Damn, they sure do know how to make money off of us...Why can't there just be ONE super-duper deluxe DVD with everything? Grrrr..

so one of my family members works for a company that did a lot of the web marketing and such for Twilight.. and i guess they had a lot to do with all the different versions of dvds... anyway-- i've been told that the costco dvd set has the best special features.

i've already "pre-ordered" my twilight dvd's from borders and hottopic! i cannot wait! it's funny that no one has mentioned hottopic and purchasing from them.

hottopic.com will give more details, but if you pre-order through them you will receive the two-disc dvd along with one of the exclusive "edward cullen" movie cells!

however, target is now frustrating me. not that i need another copy of the dvd, but i have been trying to track down that 3-minute piano montage and i especially want the free itunes download! ugh!

we'll see! good luck everyone in chooosing!

I ordered the one from Amazon a while ago. I didn't realize that actual DVD content would be different! I thought the extras were trading cards, posters, etc. Since my bf is getting me the Amazon set, maybe I'll splurge for a second set. This is getting ridiculous!

I just canceled my Amazon pre-order and re-ordered the Target one (through Amazon) for the same price.

What to do

Does anyone know if they are going to have the 3 disc twilight at target stores or is this just an online thing?

I also just canceled my Amazon order and ordered the Target DVD... oh did I do the right thing??? The marketing is genius... indeed milking a cash cow, but genius!

I agree that it's really frustrating. I have never seen so many different versions of one movie. I pre-ordered the DVD at Amazon as soon as I was able to, but since then have ordered from Hot Topic (for the film cell), Borders (cool case/packaging & pics), Best Buy (blu-ray and can pick up in store on 21st) and Target (blu-ray exclusive features). I was initially upset by the decision to only put the blu-ray out at BB and Target until May because I was afraid they wouldn't do pre-orders. But since they are pre-ordering, I'm not so upset, although I do think Summit is milking this for all it's worth...and I'm the obsessed fan right there buying them all. I think I'll cancel my Amazon, though, there's not anything "special" about it.
