I listened to it again...I was reacting to him saying that people are "annoying" if they feel they can't be themselves. Geez, I feel inadequate at times, I feel shy and can't be myself. I guess he'd consider me "annoying."
Yes, he doesn't seem his normal cheery self, but who can blame him. He's had no privacy now for over a year now. I know it would talk away some of my joy in life as well.
Also, I think it would be hard to continuously have to answer question after question without really thinking about it. I know I would say things and be like, "annoying", why did I say that.

But what's this shit about "wasting time" relaxing? He's said that he watches a lot of movies and is on the computer a lot, and goes to the pub, etc. If that's not relaxing I don't know what is. So he wastes time like the rest of us.

Lilly~ The "wasting time" comment is probably one of those "why did I say that?" moments that Anon is talking about. I think so.
It helps to remember that things don't always come out the way we ment them. He's human and doesn't always make perfect sense. But that's why we love him and all of his quirks. And Rob we do love you. Despite verbal imperfections.
He must have been so tired. He flew to JP right after the Oscars. I hope he got some rest. Although he looked pretty rested in the Vancouver pics.

He seems kind of older in that interview and I guess you´re right WinWin and he must have been tired, too. Lilly, about the relaxing thing, I feel for him here. Sometimes, when I got working stress for a long time and suddenly there is some free time I´m like: " Hey, where are the seriouse things I´ve got to do, time is running!".
And I hope his dream will come true one day annd he´ll work with Jack Nicholson! Nice day everyone!
Lilly~I think it depends upon how you define relaxing. Reading books and watching movies and analyzing them can be hard work when you are a creative person. So is socializing and researching on the computer.
When I do these things I'm always storing all of the information to use later...
I believe this is what Rob means. Perhaps to him relaxing would mean sleeping or walking with no purpose (which he has actually said).
I think we are now seeing a more serious and mature Rob. People expect so much from him. He has so many more responsibilities. He looks older and acts older, which is fine with me. Manliness is such a turn-on for me.
Any way we could get an interpretation of the questions? Most of them I could catch on but a couple there at the end - I wasn't sure what he was talking about.
I'm thinking that his "wasting time" comment might refer to sitting around doing absolutely nothing. And I think he was probably tired for this... He flew from London to LA to Japan within a rather short amount of time. That has to mess with your body clock...
I was just googling updated news on him and I so sick and tired of the smell thing. I'm so disappoint to see they are still going on about that. How retarded. I hope he is laughing it off and is not hurt by it.

The questions in the middle were "What is your type in women?" And "What about Japanese women?" just in case anyone was confused about who he was talking about when he said, "they're really friendly." ^_^
I definitely agree with some of the comments about him being different than all the ones from last year, I noticed that too, and the interview didn't feel natural for some reason. But who knows why that is, could be anything from being tired to something more fundamental. I do think he will be undergoing some degree of transformation in how he deals with media in the upcoming years, it will be interesting to watch him.

Winwin- Girl here in Dallas this morning at 6:35am Kidd Craddick from Kiss FM was talking about the "stink" situation. I was HELLA 2nd hand embarrassed for Rob.They were just going on about it in a humiliating way. Especially when Big AL said, "after Oprah gets through dealing with the Cris Brown and Rhianna situation she needs to help Robert Patttinson and any other celebrity that stinks". I was like OH GOD SAVE ME NOW! And then to make things worst, a 12 year old little girl calls in and Kidd ask her in a condescending way, "does your love for Edward lesson because he stinks"? She says, "a little and that's gross" and "there are a few people at my school who stinks and I can't be around them". I cringed and said to myself "Take me now Lord Jesus".... LOL
Then Kidd had a sound bite of Rob saying, "I don't know anything". Kidd said,"that's all he can say". Then they acted all disgusted and moved on... what a morning I had.:( This radio station is heard here,in California,in other cities, and now Mexico. So those who didn't read it online sure as hell heard it this morning...

Okay and about his comment"wasting time" relaxing.I feel the same way sometimes. It's just you want to be doing something more purposeful in life than just doing stuff on the computer or whatever.You know like making a difference in people lives. That's why so many celebrities do charity work here in the US or around the world. Doing movies is good and all but helping your fellow man and giving back to society is far much more fulfilling. Maybe he should start doing work for a charity he likes...
I don't think he seems any different in this interview. First of all were not hearing the questions. Also the questions asked are probably in Japanese and then translated to him. There is an edit after every question asked. Not your normal interview we're used to seeing. I think he answered all the questions really well. As for the "annoying" quote. I took it as when someone puts on an act rather than being themselves. I find that annoying too.

About the smell thing, I have simply decided to not check out any articles, nor website going on about this rumour. All they are trying to get is more hits, so no need to give them this pleasure LOL
I hope that others will react like me. I'm sure that, while fans answering they "don't care, or believe it" is a good thing, they still get a reactions. not tuning in at all is the thing they fear the most for their show/articles.
