We actually did an impossible mission – did an interview with our precious Robert Pattinson and didn’t ask him questions about vampires even once. We managed actually talk with him and not ask about blood, afterlife and Kristen Stewart. We’re in shock,

Elle Girl: Hi, Rob! Let’s talk about love.
Robert: Oh, again. (smiling) Ok, you can. What’s interesting about that?

EG: Your character in WFE fell in love from the first sight. Do you believe in love like that?
R: Of course

EG: Did it happen to you?
R: Million of times. I actually think that most people fall in love the moment they see their love for the first time.

EG: And how can you tell that you fall in love?
R: I can’t answer that. Really. I don’t know. You have very hard questions.

EG: Robert!
R: How can you describe love? If you love someone then you think that this person is the best in the world, don’t you? But if she doesn’t think that way about herself?? I think, the whole point to make her believe that she’s perfect, the most beautiful. (Kate: OK how could you not love this guy!?)

Gary Johnson Tai's Trainer Talks About Tai's Relationship With Robert Pattinson

Photobucket

Spielfilm did an interview with Gary Johnson Tai's Trainer. Robsteners did a translation and here are the parts where Gary mentioned Robert Pattinson

How much time did Reese Witherspoon with Tai? The relationship between Marlena and Rosie is very important for the story right?

Johnson: Reese Witherspoon visited the ranch often to train with Tai, because she has some really physical scenes with her. She had to climb onto Tai, just how it is known from circuses when the girl sits on top of the elephant. Tai lay on her side and when she got up Reese had to learn to stand on her trunk. They had to train a few different options to climb on top then. In one scene Tai stands on her back legs and Reese directly beneath her. In another scene Tai does a headstand and Reese dances beneath her at the same time. That’s really complicated and we had to train those scenes with a choreographer. The timing had to be right. In another scene Reese stands on top of the elephant. Another time Tai sits on a base and stands on her back legs and Reese then climbs onto her back. They had to train that scene a very long time. Tai does things like that regularly and it’s part of her routine. She practices daily and a lot.

How difficult was that for Reese?

Johnson: She was extraordinary and told us she did gymnastics as a child. She grew up with animals and has always felt comfortable with them. All three main actors, Reese Witherspoon, Robert Pattinson and Christoph Waltz were very impressive. We’re very lucky that we were able to work with them. They’re just incredible.

What about the scene where she runs away from the circus, gets to a city and destroys a lot of things there?

Johnson: In that scene Christoph Waltz is very angry at Rosie, because she sneaks to the nearest villages and eats the vegetables from the market. Rob (Jacob) has to search for her and get her back. For that scene we needed about 300 extras and a few gamesmanship for Tai. There was just too much going on there, children on bikes and a lot of people. In all that chaos Tai had to act and we couldn’t just stand in front of the camera and tell her what to do. She had to eat the corn for example. but not the potatoes. That was a really special command but she did great. As an award she got an apple, a carrot and a little candy. Elephants love that, but Tais favourite sweets are “Jelly Beans”. Sometimes we even clap her on the shoulder and tell her that she did well. She understands that as well.

How did Robert Pattinson interact and work with Tai?

Johnson: Robert has a few close-ups with her and Tai thought him to be very likeable the first time she saw him. When Rosie is hurt he takes care of her. Robert never got loud with her and their relationship was adorable and easygoing. I think she liked him a lot.

Reese Witherspooon told us that she was very emotional on Tai’s last day on set because she was really close to her. Was that a very emotional moment for everyone?

Johnson: She cried and was very sad. They had a really strong relationship and Rob had to fight with tears as well. Of couse you can’t compare animals and human beings but I think that Tai and other elephants can develop a very strong relationship to humans as well – especially ours since they’re constantly learning and working with humans. We take them to shoot movies, take them to the beach or the forest and they have a lot of fun. Our relationships are based on mutual trust. Working with Tai was very touching and emotional for Reese, Rob and Christoph. Watching Reese and Tai work one could see that they had a special bond.

The movie is going to be suspenseful and emotional. Do you think that people will learn a lot about elephants and how extraordinary they are?

Johnson: I think that the movie will raise awareness, just because the story is really exciting and because the younger generation will love to see Rob and Reese together. I think the audience will see how intelligent elephants are. We really hope we can raise awareness about the animals that are kept captive and also the ones in the wilderness.

It's a really great interview and you should head over to read the rest of it at Robsteners
I promise you'll want to read all the other bits about Tai!

Robert Pattinson Talks Bel Ami With "Total Film" Magazine

Photobucket

Robert Pattinson admits that Bel Ami is still in editing because studio honchos are worried about alienating audiences used to his goody-two-shoes persona in the Twilight franchise.

RPattz plays the titular Bel Ami in an adaptation of Maupassant's classic novel about a 19th century womanising, social-climbing journalist who sleeps his way round Paris.

Filming in the UK and Budapest opposite leading ladies Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci and Kristen Scott Thomas wrapped in spring 2010 and was originally slated for a Christmas release. It currently has no confirmed opening date.

"We were really true to the book and because the guy is basically a shit who wins everything at the end it’s really difficult to market it – especially with me in it," Pattinson tells TF exclusively.

"Everyone’s worried that everyone’s going to be thinking, ‘Oh I want him to be nice, he’s got to be nice to all the ladies’."

Bel Ami, though, is an unrepentant cad. "I know," laughs the Water For Elephants star, "But that was fun!"

We had the preview of this "Vanity Fair"(Italy) interview with Robert Pattinson yesterday but now here's the full thing with the translation thanks again to Fritzerina

You don’t have to be smart to understand: Generally speaking, there is worst fate than to became a poster-guy forced into hiding in a 5 star hotel rooms around the world. And Robert Pattinson is smart enough.

However it seems that he didn’t take is destiny from the bright side. He is young (25 in May), he has a lot of money, success, a job, the actor, which half of the world envy and potentially has all the women in the world at his feet. However you can see he is not happy. And the reason, I believe, lies in the fact that he is smart enough to understand that he is not so special after all.

He is down to earth even when everything around him is going crazy. And that’s makes him a good guy, but awfully alone.

If one day he decided to pack his things and disappear, nobody would be surprised about it.

I met him, few weeks ago, for the promotion of the movie Water for Elephants.

He adopted a dog. He wanted one for a long time.

“I don’t know how I’m going to take care of him, but if you have to travel around the world it’s good to have some company. I took him from a dog shelter: it makes me smile just thinking about that he went from a dog shelter to a four seasons’ suite.”

Thanks a Million to Fritzerina
for translating this for us!

Robert Pattinson, the vampire in the twilight saga, looks tired but has a huge smile on his face because right now he is promoting his new movie "Water For Elephants" and he is ready to talk about everything besides kristen stewart, who everyone claims to be his girlfriend. Everyone but him who doesn't even want to talk about it.

Q: Lets talk about water for elephants,as soon as the movie start, on the screen we see a phrase about your character and the fact that he is still waiting for his life to start, that since that moment nothing important has already happen to him. Have you ever had this same feeling? Moreover for you what really was the turning point in your life?

A: My life already started but i didn't reach the turning point yet. Even if i think i reach the turning point every 2 years. Let me explain..every 2/3 years it feels like my life is moving in fastforward and everytime i find myself thinking: What's going to happen now.

Q: So what is going to happen now?

A: I don't know. I think i'm reaching the end of something

Q: Work or personal life?

A: Both. Work in some kind of way is an influence in private life. It's like every 3 movies something in my life changes.

Q: What would you like to do now?

A: I would like to be able to give something more during the production of a movie. After the Twilight Saga I have another project. Cosmopolis, with director David Cronenberg I believe it's going to be fun and a completely different work from the one on the Twilight Saga. And after Cosmopolis i think i want to start something new. I already have some project in mind.

Q: Are you talking about music? Still thinking about being a musician?

A:Yes even though I haven't played in long time. To be clear I don't play every day anymore. For example recently i was in New Orleans and I played piano with a local band in a pub. It was fun and I asked myself: "Why did i stop to playing the piano?" It was incredible and I had so much fun. However working with music needs a lot of time and to do it i would have to leave everything else, take 6 months off just for playing and learning to play piano and guitar again. But at this time in my career i can't afford to do it.

Preview Of Robert Pattinson's Interview With "Vanity Fair" (Italy)

Photobucket

From Vanity Fair (Italy)

This issue will be out tomorrow

While waiting to come back for working on the Twilight Saga, he is playing the lover of a married woman. But being a cheater for him will be really hard.

You don't have to be smart to understand that, generally speaking, there is worst than became a poster-guy who needs to hide from the fans in a five star hotel room around the world. And it looks like Robert is a very smart guy. But is also looks like, in his everyday life, that he didn't took his destiny from the bright side. He is young (25 years old in May), he has money, success, a job, actor, which half of the world would love to have and all the women whom he could have. But you can see he is not happy.

The reason, I believe, is because he is smart enought to understand that he is not that special. He is still down-to-earth even when the whole world is going crazy for him. That makes him a good person, but so so lonely. I met him a few weeks ago, for the promotion of the movie "Water for Elephants".

Born in a normal English family - his mother working for a model agency, his father used to sell vintage cars - he was going to work on international relations. His role as Cedric in Harry Potter and the Globet of Fire was a lucky event and the same was for the role that was going to change is life: the Vampire Edward Cullen in Twilight.

Water for Ekephants is a romance movie. "What attracted me was the historical period, the great depression, the circus, it's fascinating".

The main plot is however the story between Jacob and Marlena. "Even if at the beginning you are thinking "oh now he comes and sees her, they like each other they run away together" the story is more than that. Jacob is ready to give, not to take. Best relationship ever".

Could you have an affair with a married woman?

"Life is not black or white. There are married people that don't share anything. How can you call that a marriage? There is something I can't even understand: why people cheat?"

You can't understand something that most people do???

“I can understand the impulse, but not how you can maintain a long-standing relationship at the same time. And though I realize that can happen to those who have children, I can't really understand how someone free of any commitment could possible choose to have four women at the same time. it must be like hell for a man”

You don't believe in cheating. What about in the happly ever after, like a movie ending?

“My parents met when my mom was 17 and my father 25, they are still together and seem very happy. I grew up believing that you can be together all life."

The whole interview will be on the next issue of vanity fair out on March 30th

Robert Pattinson, Reese Witherspoon & Christoph Waltz Talk To Cinemania Magazine

Translation is done via Google translator so it's not the best
(I fixed the bits that didn't make sense but I'll put up a better one as soon as it comes out)

Scans/Transcription byTwilightWorldMexico

It is the Depression-era United States in the 1930's. The people of Weehawken, New Jersey are dressed in the fashion of the time: men in hats, ties and jackets, women in long dresses and floral, children in shorts and hats. People are on the lookout fabulous parade Benzini Brothers Circus, whose promotional posters proclaiming them as "the most spectacular show on Earth." Everything would be perfect if you do not walk among the road of technicians and production crew of a film, those who break the illusion of a journey into the past.

This is the set of Water for Elephants, at the film studios of 20th Century Fox in Los Angeles under the direction of Francis Lawrence (Constantine, 2005; I Am Legend, 2007), and is one of the most anticipated productions 2011 due to its compelling storyline of romance, based on the best-selling novel by Sara Gruen (adapted by Richard LaGravenese), and especially its star cast: Reese Witherspoon, Robert Pattinson and Christoph Waltz.

The plot centers on the story of Jacob (Pattinson), who about to graduate as a vet, drops out of school following the death of his parents. Fate leads him to join a traveling circus, where he becomes romantically involved with Marlena (Witherspoon), acrobat star and wife of violent animal tamer August (Waltz), which starts an ardent love triangle.

THE CIRCUS OF A SHOOTING

Before the interviews, the journalists are put in a convenient place to watch the circus parade, consisting of a band, clowns, strong men, dwarfs, the trapeze artists and jugglers, and the different animals: a giraffe, lion, two camels, two llamas, three ponies, three zebras, some draft horses, a hippopotamus and trained dogs. But the highlight is the appearance of Reese, mounted on Rosie, the elephant, accompanied a few meters by Waltz and Pattinson. The great uncertainty of about 300 extras who have been called to this day, cheers to this truppa circus.

Robert Pattinson Talks Cosmopolis & Twilight To Empire Magazine

Photobucket

From EmpireOnline
Love him (teenage girls everywhere) (Kate: And not so teenage thank you!) or loathe him (their boyfriends), Robert "R.Pattz" Pattinson is apparently here to stay. With Water For Elephants out soon, he's gearing up to star in Cosmopolis for David Cronenberg. Yes, you read that right. Yes, this may mean that you have to start liking him. Here's what he had to say about his role.

"I'm just astonished that I've been cast. I'd read the script before and thought, 'Wow, this is insane. But insane and difficult.' And then, out of nowhere, my agent said, 'Do you want to do it?' I'd never thought about working with Cronenberg, but I've always loved his movies. It just never came into my head that there would ever be that opportunity.

"Y'know, there are so few auteurs left. The one thing that pisses me off about working in films is when you start a project and then, suddenly, two days before you start, there's a massive rewrite to make an R-rated movie into something that's PG-13, and it's a totally different story. As soon as that line's been crossed, you know you're not making a movie anymore. You're making a...a... fridge magnet. But with people like Cronenberg you know that, no matter what, there will be a movie at the end, and it will be solid and self-contained, and it's not made for any other reason than it being a movie."

Pattinson also confirmed that, as far as he is concerned there will be no further Twilight outings following the two-part Breaking Dawn which finishes the current series. And he swears that he didn't know what he was getting himself into with Stephenie Meyer's massive vampire saga.

"I thought at the time, with Catherine Hardwicke and Kristen Stewart, it was going to be an indie movie. It seemed really interesting: a teen vampire movie that was going to be like Thirteen and really serious. I had no idea it was going to be this big thing you'd get on Burger King hats."

Water For Elephants is out on May 4, and the full interview with His Dreaminess is in the new issue of Empire, out Thursday.

Sara Vilkomerson Talks About Her Robert Pattinson Interview Experience

Josh Benson Interviews Sara Vilkomerson who interviewed Robert Pattinson for the recent EW issue.
This is a great interview (just like her EW one with Rob was) and she sounds like she has Robert Pattinson down to a tee!

Photobucket

Josh Benson: Can you explain Robert Pattinson to me, please?

Sara Vilkomerson: Oh well gee, where to begin! (Kate: That would be my reaction too) I guess we should start with Twilight. Are you familiar with it?

Josh: How about let's assume I'm not totally up to speed on it. Just for the sake of this exercise, you understand.

Sara: Mmmhmmm, sure.

In my humble opinion there is an essential part of Twilight that girls go nuts for that has got a lot to do with the whole vampire, undying-love (literally!) stuff. Which is that the main character, Bella, considers herself clumsy and awkward and not particularly beautiful, which I think speaks to at least 90 percent of how girls felt in high school. And then the coolest, hottest, most unattainable boy in school picks her out as the object of his affection. This is heady heady crack-for-girls stuff already. So then they cast Robert Pattinson in the role.

Oh look, I wrote about this in the Observer when the first one came out!

Josh: I remember that place! That piece, too.

Sara: Anyway, Robert Pattinson had the tough job of filling the shoes of a character that is described at length as being preternaturally good-looking, and he succeeded because, among other things, he happens to be preternaturally good looking. He just is.

And Twilight became a huge success. And now he can't walk down the street without people asking him to bite them, which means he did a very, very good job. And now, three films later and with two more on the way, he has a tough road ahead getting people to forget about him as Edward Cullen but to see him as Robert Pattinson, the actor.

Josh: Given the fact that he is at this point kind of the embodiment of vampiretainment, is it not slightly unrealistic to expect that people are going to stop asking him to bite them anytime soon?

Sara: If this is a delicate way of asking me if I asked him to bite me during our interview, let me state clearly for the record that I did not.
