The Water for Elephants DVD is out in some countries and I asked my buddy, @fab_w, to spoil me rotten. She tweeted the highlights from the DVD commentary with director, Francis Lawrence, and screenwriter, Richard LaGravenese.

SPOILERS AFTER THE CUT!!!

Christina Ricci says Robert Pattinson is absolutely lovely

Photobucket

I can't get enough of this picture. I think we've used it on the blog 3 times within 24 hours.

While promoting her new TV series Pan Am, Christina Ricci's final question was about working with Robert Pattinson in Bel Ami:

What was it like to be seduced by Robert Pattinson for Bel Ami?

RICCI: Oh, he’s absolutely lovely! He’s great in the movie. It’s a very different role for him. It’s classic Guy de Maupassant. It’s very interesting, grittier material. It’s really good.

Marcus Foster Talks About Robert Pattinson Singing His Song "I Was Broken"

Photobucket

In this soundbite Robert Pattinson's good friend Marcus Foster talks about how Rob singing his song "I was Broken" ended up all over the internet.

I think we all know at this stage what Rob's version sounds like (if you don't SHAME on you ;-p)
If you want to hear Marcus' version (which I also love) listen to it HERE

Marcus also mentions Jeff Buckley and the film (which obviously we now know that Rob is not doing)

"Bel Ami" At The Berlin Film Festival In 2012?

Photobucket

Following on from what we were saying yesterday about the possibility Robert Pattinson's "Bel Ami" premiering at the Berlin film festival early next year, it looks like the film sites are carrying this "rumour" too.

Let's hope there's some truth in it and we will FINALLY get to see this!

From Indiewire via PattinsonStew

Based on the book by Guy de Maupassant and featuring Uma Thurman, Kristin Scott Thomas and Christina Ricci, “Bel Ami” will find Pattinson playing George Duroy, a sexy social climber in turn-of-the-century 1890s Paris, who seduces his way to wealth and fame from a poor beginning. Thurman will play the wife of one of Duroy’s friends who eventually marries Pattinson’s seductive schemer. Kristin Scott Thomas will appear as a woman who overestimates Duroy’s attachment to her. These pics show Pattinson easily proving his manhood with the female leads, but whether the film is a winner or not, we won’t know for a while yet. (Kate: Oh I think we already know it's gonna be a winner)

From what we hear, the producers are aiming for a Berlin Film Festival premiere in 2012 and it might be a while later before it hits theaters as the film is still without a distributor. So stay strong RPatz lovers and let these pics tide you over for now. (Kate: Stay strong? I don't think I can stay strong for much longer)

I need to watch this again to help me stay strong..................

Robert Pattinson talks about Breaking Dawn and his toughest scene

Robert Pattinson talks about Breaking Dawn and his toughest scene

The Fall Movie Preview from the Chicago Sun-Times profiled Breaking Dawn and had an excerpt from Rob talking about the saga and the scene to look out for:

“I’m curious to see how it will carry out,” star Robert Pattinson tells the Sun-Times. “This movie is so different from the other ones. The stakes are so much higher because now it’s time to turn the entire saga upside down.”

And then there is the matter of Bella’s baby bump. “The birth scene is frightening,” Pattinson admits. “It’s a slap in the face. It’s failure to Edward, who has to choose between losing Bella and transforming her. It’s the toughest scene I’ve ever had to film in my career because this choice tears out my heart.”

...

Talking point: Not since the Kardashian wedding has there been such a rapid tying of the knot. Stewart admits, “I was racing down the aisle during the first few takes because I was eager to get the two of them married.” Pattinson says, “We saved shooting the actual wedding for last because it was so important. We needed to be immersed in it.”

Oh MAN! Toughest in his career?? I need to increase my tissue stock. Remember Rob told us to look out for this scene before. He's gonna kill us I just know it! I'm gonna ugly cry. Robward all heart broken and desperate and pleading is going to RUIN me! Here's Rob telling us (so adorkably) to look for his big moment, just after the minute mark:

I'm sure he'll have MANY moments but we're all going to be with Robward during the climatic birthing scene. *sniffles*

Even Bill...
