So what's next for you?
I've got about two or three scenes in Promised Land that just came out. And then a movie called Twelve Years A Slave that Steve McQueen directed. Brad's in it, and Michael Fassbender and Chiwetel Ejiofor. I'm working on this film right now with Liam Neeson and Julianne Moore called Non-Stop. Then I'm off to do this movie called Frank with Domhnall Gleeson and Michael Fassbender. And after that, I work with David Michod, who did Animal Kingdom and is really close friends with Andrew Dominik. It's with Guy Pearce and Rob Pattinson. It's called The Rover.

Is it going to be as intense as Animal Kingdom?
You know, I don't know the direction in which David's taking it, but it's a futuristic western that takes place in the Australian Outback.

Can you talk about the character you play?
I play Rob's brother. If I say anything else about it, it gives it all away. (Kate: talk about teasing us! ;-P)

In the article the actor has gotten a lot of praise for his acting abilities. Rob will be in good hands with him and Guy Pierce. I guess he'll be the chief of the gang.

I've read some reviews of Killing them Softly and all praise his acting in the film. For what it looks he has an impressive schedule ahead. I am glad Rob is involved in this film. Of all his upcoming projects, this is the one that have excited the most. Maybe is because is the first one in which I will see Rob after all the Twi Saga finished. Very excited for this one. I know, I'm rambling now.

Isn't it amazing the boost this guy's profile will get just from being in a movie with Rob? Of course now he's going to have to deal with the "what's it like working with Rob" questions until he feels like punching someone, so I guess it's a toss up as to whether it's a good or bad thing.

Looks a bit like Billy Burke.

Totally agree with you. I'm so glad that Rob will be involved with this project. Now I'm hoping for MB to get a good sign. Really hope for it to get made.

Rob gets mentioned with all these industry heavy hitters as just one of the crew. That's Impressive. Sounds like they don't consider him an outsider and recognise he "has arrived". Such familiarity speaks volumes for what Rob has achieved in a relativelly short time, in a saga that most of the industry disparages and at such a young age. Cosmopolis had a lot to do with that and Rob's tenacity at picking roles that take him out of any typecast. Good for our man! Bright future ahead!

This is very exciting for ROB and his fans (us!!)..I'm so excited!!...ROB with a southern accent...I die!

He does but Billy's better looking imo. I watch Revolution (sorta) just so I can see Billy.

I wanna see it, too..but hoping they want film in dangerous territory.

You and your beautiful avi were not rambling...you say whatever you want..

I'm worrying a bit about Mission Blacklist. Rob didn't mention the movie in his latest interviews where he talked about his next projects. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that it's postponed again. Thought about it when I read an article on EW about Bigelow's new movie " Zero (I don't remember the title)". There seemed to be controversy about its accuracy concerning the interrogation techniques shown in the movie. It showed me that it is very important to be as authentique as possible in this kind of films.

What was the french version? Don't know this movie.

Had to scroll up again to check and yes, there's some similarity. Burke seems more handsome though in my eyes.

Thanks. Sometimes I have just very little minutes to lurk here and want to write as fast as I can with whatever comes to my mind and that is when things like that above happen. Keep loving Rob, ;-)

Gotcha ;-)

Ok so I just read the whole interview and see that this guy, being from Texas, will have a natural southern accent. Whereas ROB, playing his brother, will have to match it, although we're still not sure exactly which southern area accent they'll be depicting. Does anyone know if this guy is good at that like ROB or will they have to go with Texas?

happy that Rob is working with nice actors ...i think he his going to play Rob's big bro and leader of the gang .

"Ne le dis a personne" was directed by Canet and based on the novel "Tell No One" by US writer, Harlen Coben. It's a good thriller with a very evocative use of music...one of the reasons it's memorable for me...lol. Soundtrack includes Jeff Buckley's version of "Lilac Wine," "My Precious Love" by Otis Redding, "With or Without You" by U2, "Hands of Time" and a terrific electric guitar score by Chedid. It won 4 Cesars, including best director. Cast includes Francois Cluzet, Nathalie Baye, Kristen Scott Thomas, Marie-J Croze, Jean Rochefort among others. I think I mentioned it a while ago because it deserves promo, and is a fine example of how music can be used effectively. Plot is convoluted, but it's well worth seeing, if you like thrillers, with a romantic heart. ;-) Dominik did do a script treatment, I think, for the US remake, but he's no longer involved. Supposedly Matt Damon is going to direct...

I know. But I don't mind to wait longer in order to get a very good movie. Controversy will always be there for a movie like this, but if they postpone to prepare things so the result will be at its best, then I hope the controversy will be as minimum as possible. I just hope it will get made with Rob still attached in it, even if production started on 2014 lol I admit, I like bald Rob :p and I remember I read that the director think about working with real prisoners. That will be awesome (they have to prepare a very good security, ofc). Maybe Rob didn't say anything because there's no confirmed date. But I'll right here waiting lol

Gozde said...

I know, I'm worried, too. I hope if the possibility of making it in Iraq is very thin, then they consider to film it in other country. If it would still happens in Iraq, I think they must have prepared the best security they need :)

Gozde said...

You know, I wonder if that's why we're not hearing about it. Maybe they're already filming, but they want to keep it quiet.
