I´m very much looking forward to see them all :) I tis so much more personal if you know who made it..... I won´t participate this year because of lack of technical knowledge and time but I might train myself over the next year ;)

Gozde said...

Whoa! "Don't have any talent"?!?! You,my dear, have talent no doubt about it!:D Your 'strong suit" just might not be video production.

Gozde said...

I'm with you whence, might need a little more time to sort it out...........It sounds like serious competition !!!

Gozde said...

Ahhh Thanks Y Muri - you are very kind - I just admire those who do those vid productions so brilliantly xx

Gozde said...

It really interests me to learn it, sounds like something I would like but with my actual busy RL it would be way too much....

Gozde said...

I'm interested too but still looking for a programme that will do what I want that I can manage !!!

Gozde said...

Do you have a pc or mac? There is a progrmme on my mac but I have yet to figure it out. I guess, I need a few hours in a row which I don´t have at the moment. I plan to ask my doughter, she probably can explain it to me.

Gozde said...

I have a pc and sort of done one but just with photos !! wanted some video clips in it though, really that's what I need to learn

When You say 'holiday' video are you meaning specifically christmas? what about just winter holiday season? Does it have to specify a religious holiday or can it be holiday in the sense of a winter solstice/winter fun time?

Also--how does one get photos and gifs of Rob to download, to use on One True Media for making videos? Also--how does one get a video onto YouTube?
Thanks for any answers and help.

I made a short movie with movie maker on my pc a few years ago but without music. It was easy to figure out and you can download it for free.

Gozde said...

you too? i might chicken out too. lol

Gozde said...

OMG that sounds like real business. I'm already overwhelmed with the videos i want to choose. i have 100 minute. how should i manage 4? and my song is 5:50. so difficult but i didn't expect such a great price either. mmm, not sure. i'm kind of a chicken.

Gozde said...

But you have mastered the hard bit lol !!! I was thinking of all the people who usually make these are so good and with cash prize......

Gozde said...

Come on Mizz, make us proud, I know you can do it, you already proofed your talent :)))

Gozde said...

The video challenge is holiday season in general. People tend to use Christmas songs but you can interpret "holiday season" the way you want to creatively. I'm not familiar enough with One True Media but to upload a video to YouTube, you would have to have an account - something you already have built into a gmail account. Once you're signed in to YouTube, you would click the upload button at the top of the page and select the video file on your computer. I'll research a little more on One True Media is I remember later this evening.

Gozde said...

that's what i've been using !!

Gozde said...

oh yeah? i thought you for a mac kind of girl...;)

Gozde said...

with these small avis I sure need some glasses soon...;)

Gozde said...

I've just noticed Mizz has added a hat to her Avi too !!!

Gozde said...

That´s why I was confusing you two....:D

Gozde said...

OK--Thank you very much:-) THis sounds very complicated--I would have to figure out how to get the photos so I can use them in a video (I managed to make a video for my own music, but cannot figure out how to get photos of Rob the same way I got photos for my video); make the video (match the pace of the photos to the music); figure out how to get the video as a file on my computer so I can get it onto YouTube...phew!! The last time I did a robsessed video, i finally gave up and sent it to Gozde who somehow got it on here! I am not going to depend on that again, so I will give it a try (I have a good idea, I feel) and if it doesn't work, I give up.

Gozde said...

Solas, I would love to see the vid you made. is it still on youtube?

Gozde said...

thank you Tink so much for helping and caring and putting so much love and energy into the blog. the competition is really exciting and a good way to show our love. for the blog and Rob. not sure if i mange to participate but i try. love you lady!

Gozde said...

If you mean the one I made for RObsessed holiday contest, that Gozde saved, i have no idea where it is! I don't have it! If you mean the one I made for one of my own songs, I never put it on youtube. If you want to see it, please email me and I will try to send you the link to where it is.

Gozde said...

No, you won't ... come on, we want to see something :-)

Gozde said...

That's why I thought I change my Avi to something bigger... just Rob's beautiful eyes ....aber wem erzähl ich das :-)))

Gozde said...

Wow!!! How did you find it??? :-D I'm grinning here. It was my first attempt at making a video; I know it isn't good, but it still makes me smile. :-D Thanks!

Gozde said...

And this is a really beautiful snippet you got there! Love it, Olive :-)

Gozde said...

Don't chicken out.....you did the hard bit....you let us see your first one :-) It was really good and now we are all eager for more. Go for it !!!!

Gozde said...

So looking forward to everything that is coming up :D

Gozde said...

Go for it Mizzz.. You were great the first time. I am eagerly awaiting your next video, my little Diva!!!

Gozde said...

This is off-topic mostly, but connected in that holidays are coming and I think of those we haven't heard from in a while. Does anyone know how Lynn from Washington State is doing? She had been homeless, and then was diagnosed with cancer. I haven't seen her post in a very long time. Anyone know? Hope she is well and can come back here. Even though I am not posting much, I do lurk and post when I feel it is appropriate and safe, or at least out of politeness to most who comment or reply to me. And for the record, in case anyone is listening and perhaps wishes to give me a nice Chanukah present, I still hate and resent this format.

Gozde said...

Would you believe me if I said that I stalk you, and had saved your video, as well as all of your comments? No? OK, then, I'll tell you. I went to the upper left corner of the blog, typed "holiday" in the search bar, and found it in the third post that showed up. I'd seen it there recently, so I knew what I was looking for. I think I saw it initially by clicking on one of those "You might also like" links that are under every post.

Gozde said...

Considering I've been physically stalked and cyber-stalked, i would have believed it except that those who stalk generally do not admit to it... So you made the effort to help, out of the goodness of your heart, and I appreciate that so much. I didn't know my first attempt still existed. :-) thanks again for your kindness. :-)

Gozde said...

C'mon Mizz get your finger out woman !!

Gozde said...

hope you give it a go and thanks for the compliment :))

Gozde said...

good luck solas and i know the feeling. i made a video for the 2009 competition and i didn't advance to the next round but it was so fun and felt good. Robdicted gave a hint on how to find Rob pics. if you use our search feature, you might find specific pics you want and can save.

Gozde said...

sorry it took me so long but when Rob is involved it can take all day long.

Gozde said...

LOL... doesn't it take all day and night usually ;-P
Don't tell me you've finished your vid already??

Gozde said...

yep, but they wouldn't let me. you see Nuzz, can't let her hanging....mmm, don't know ;-)

Gozde said...

Who's THEY?? LOL... so your vid is really finished because I had a look at my movie maker program and it will certainly take me a LONG time to get a video done though I'd REALLY like to try

Gozde said...

Thanks--I did search (I was looking for the gif or at least photo of Rob 'dancing'--from one of the Twilight films, where he kind of shakes a bit with his fists--I think he was standing next to 'Emmett.') anyway-- I cannot do gifs on One True Media, only jpeg, but I cannot locate that even as a photo.

Gozde said...

A suggestion Tink -Is it possible to put PPV Rob movies on this blog whereby we can login and watch with our friends here maybe chat while watching 'it will be one bigg drool fest '-but I also know it will be hard with the copyright issues and other legalities but something if achievable will be a real treat !!!I know this is not related to the post but its going to be hoildays and we can wish right !!!

Gozde said...

Argh, so sorry, poor choice of joke on my part! I think you know it was a joke, but I'll reiterate just to be emphatic! That being the case, I wonder why you choose to use your own image as your avi? Mightn't it be safer to pick something that can't be connected to you personally?

Anyway, the dancing gif that you spoke about is on the blog:
http://www robsessedpattinson com/2010/12/caption-robert-pattinson-to-win-special_04.html
It's also on youtube http://www youtube com/watch?v=eVsC1UUf2o8

Presumably you've got a way to download videos from youtube if you want to use in that format.

If you want to save the gif as a regular jpeg, you'll lose the motion. To do this, go to the link on the blog, right click, Save Image As. Then open in Paint and simply save as file format jpg. Paint comes with Windows. Select All Programs, Accessories, Paint.

Gozde said...

wow! thanks! I've heard of 'paint' but didn't realize I have it! I will have to look into it. WOuild it enable me to make snow come down on photos for my video? Or to place photos of Rob onto scenery? I can picture what I want to do but have no idea how to do it.

As for my avi-- the guy who stalked me stalked me before I came to robsessed, which was the first time I used an avi, so I felt it didn't make a difference. I also find it weird to have something else represent me, especially a photo of an actor; it makes me feel like I've lost my identity and have been absorbed into the borg. ;-) I like people to know at least a bit when they chat with me here that it is myself, a real person. But the bottom line is, I have been stalked and found even without the avi; it doesn't make a difference. People who are nasty and/or sick will find me (or any person) anyway.

Gozde said...

YW, Solas. Paint is a very rudimentary drawing tool, does basic shapes and lines, so no, I don't think it would be too useful for your video effects. I'm guessing your best bet to easily make a video is Windows Movie Maker. It's free from Microsoft. It may be on your PC already. (Like most PC stuff, I've never tried it myself, I just know of it.) I found this for you - how to do a snow effect http://www youtube com/watch?v=unfpjkH_1mQ.

Gozde said...

Thanks so much! You are so helpful and kind to look things up! I don't know when I will get a chance to look at these things, or even if I will master any of this stuff, or even if I will finish the video, but I appreciate your help in case I get the time to try it all!
