From Marie Claire UK
Robert Pattinson has officially been announced as the face of Dior Homme.

After months of speculation about the star's rumoured partnership with the brand, the House of Dior has released an official statement today confirming the campaign.
They said: 'The House of Dior is delighted to announce that actor Robert Pattinson is to be the new face of Dior Homme fragrance.'

Cue screams of delight from the entire Marie Claire office...
The statement then goes on to praise Robert's successful career in a number of high-profile movies, saying: 'Since his first notable role in 2005 in the fourth Harry Potter sequel, film star Robert Pattinson has more recently come to be known through his role in the runaway box office success, the Twilight saga.

'He has since proven the scope of his acting talents by choosing films as varied as Remember Me by Allen Coulter, Water for Elephants by Francis Lawrence, in which he starred alongside Reese Witherspoon, or with his role as Bel-Ami, the famous Maupassant character.
'In the ultimate tribute to his talent, David Cronenberg chose him to star in his latest picture, Cosmopolis, adapted from the novel by Don de Lillo. A striking role as a golden boy which premiered at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival.

'He has recently completed filming David Michod¹s The Rover in Australia with Guy Pearce and will soon be on set for David Cronenberg¹s next picture, Maps to the Stars. Following on he will star in Hold on to Me, directed by James Marsh and co-starring Carey Mulligan.'

The first shot released by the fashion house shows Robert looking utterly gorgeous in a stubbly, blue-eyed close-up. Hewears a red checked shirt and looks perfectly groomed.
Rumours in Hollywood have claimed that the campaign for Rob's ad was 'steamy' and featured the actor surrounded by barely-clothed women in a bed. Here's hoping that's to come…

Dior Homme adds: 'Today we are excited to announce that he will join the privileged circle of Dior faces. Photographed by American artist Nan Goldin and filmed by French director Romain Gavras, this new Dior Homme communication campaign is currently broadcast exclusively in Europe (except UK) and Asia (except China and Japan).'
BUT don't panic!
Rob has the BEST fans for sharing so I have NO doubt we'll see this one way or another!!

And we're hanging onto the "Currently" in Marie Claires report and the "As Yet" in InStyle's Report down further!
So keep the Faith people!!

MORE After The Cut

From Instyle
After months of whispers, Dior have broken the silence to confirm that Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson will front their men's fragrance range.

Dior's fragrance portfolio views like a who's who of Hollywood - Natalie Portman, Charlize Theron and Jude Law all front their scents, so newest recruit, Rob, is in good company.

The fashion house announced: "Today we are excited to announce that [Robert] will join the privileged circle of Dior faces."

However, it seems that as yet, UK audience won't be privy to the campaign shots: "Photographed by American artist Nan Goldin and filmed by French director Romain Gavras, this new Dior Homme communication campaign is currently broadcast exclusively in Europe (except UK) and Asia (except China and Japan)."

Word has it that the shots are Moulin Rouge themed and show Rob in sultry black and white. Let's hope we can catch a glimpse soon.
From Women's Wear Daily:
PARIS — Parfums Christian Dior has confirmed that actor Robert Pattinson is the new face of Dior Homme fragrance.

The “Twilight” star joins an illustrious list of celebrity ambassadors for Dior fragrances, which include Jude Law, Alain Delon, Natalie Portman and Charlize Theron.

American photographer Nan Goldin and French director Romain Gavras shot the campaigns starring Pattinson, Dior said, noting they are to be broadcast in Europe excluding the U.K. and Asia, excluding China and Japan.

From MTV:
Ooooh, do you smell that? Either someone just set off an olfactory sex bomb...or we're catching our very first whiff of the delicious, heady aroma of Robert Pattinson's first-ever celebrity endorsement deal. And yep, it's the latter!

Months after rumors surfaced last fall that Rob would become the new face of Dior's fragrance for men, the company has confirmed (via Women's Wear Daily) that he is, indeed, the dudely visage which will launch the next Dior Homme campaign.

This is a new thing for Robert, who's been leery of attaching his famous face to any one brand—but if he were going to break the seal on endorsements, the rumored $12 million he's getting from Dior is a good place to start. The actor will appear in a series of ads shot by photographer Nan Goldin and director Romain Gavras, which, according to certain people, involve some majorly sexy content and the flagrant use of Rob's tongue...which is why we're currently sobbing and rending our shirts over the totally unfair fact that the advertisements are running exclusively overseas. Any folks across the pond want to take pity on us poor, Pattz-less Americans and offer a YouTube link? We'll trade you in deep-fried foods!
Thanks PJ & for the tip!
