Robert Pattinson's Queen of the Desert starts filming in December according to Deadline

Robert Pattinson's Queen of the Desert starts filming in December according to Deadline

You guys want some movie news??

 photo headnodyes.gif

Deadline announced a new cast member for Queen of the Desert - Damian Lewis of Homeland fame. In the announcement, Deadline also said production is set for December. From Deadline:
Damian Lewis, who has won Golden Globes and Emmys for his work as POW-turned-terrorist Nicolas Brody in Showtime’s Homeland, is near a deal to star opposite Nicole Kidman in director Werner Herzog’s Queen Of The Desert. The UK-born Lewis won’t have to hide his homegrown accent for the feature: He will play Lt. Col. Charles Doughty-Wylie, an unhappily married English war hero who engages in a turbulent affair with Gertrude Bell (Kidman), with whom he exchanged love letters with from 1913-1915 until he was killed in active duty at Gallipoli.
Production is scheduled to begin in December.
Queen Of The Desert refers to Bell, the iconic explorer, writer, archeologist and attaché for the British Empire who is credited with helping to catalyze the formation of the Middle East at the dawn of the 20th century. Nick Raslan is producing through his Palmyra Films banner along with Cassian Elwes and Michael Benaroya. Benaroya Pictures banner is financing the film. Sierra/Affinity will handle international sales.
Lewis is represented by WME, Markham, Froggatt and Irwin, and Karl Austen.
No mention of Rob. Is he still playing T.E. Lawrence? Will he be filming Mission: Blacklist in January? Is Life still on schedule? If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

Robert Pattinson movie news! Updates for Queen of the Desert and Mission: Blacklist

Robert Pattinson movie news! Updates for Queen of the Desert, Mission: Blacklist and more!

UPDATE: The Rover will have a session (The Trans-Pacific Partnership: A Case Study on Financing “The Rover”) at a conference in Melbourne this November. Click HERE to read about it and if you're interested in attending. We'll post any news that surfaces from the conference about The Rover.

photo coolstuff.gifThe Rob films that are currently cooking are Queen Of The Desert, Mission: Blacklist, Hold On To Me and LifeHold On To Me remains on the back burner but still has positive buzz. Excerpt from Hollywood.com:
We don't know too much about this next project, but we're excited to see Mulligan alongside Robert Pattinson, who's well on his way to shedding that Twilight image. Oscar-winner James Marsh is directing the film, and it looks like we can expect good things.
Life is still on schedule for February 2014 as far as we know. Dane DeHaan was named one of the 10 actors to watch by Variety so it's great to see a future costar of Rob's attracting positive attention.

The latest movement is from Queen Of The Desert and Mission: Blacklist. Cassian Elwes, QOTD producer, tweeted about the possibility for a January 2014 start date:

We'll see how this holds up. The last update for Mission: Blacklist had a January 2014 start as well. Embankment Films has January 2014 on their website and an article from ScreenDaily, announcing the arrival of Sara May to Embankment, reported MB to be green-lit and financed for the new year:
Financed and green-lit for production next year are The Dressmaker starring Kate Winslet, and Mission Blacklist starring Robert Pattinson
So that's where we're at. Some juggling going on.
 photo tumblr_mtdkjdRJOM1qf3lw1o1_500.gif

Rob still seems on board with QOTD but now there appears to be a conflict of start dates with QOTD and MB. We'll keep you posted! When we know, you'll know.

Update on Robert Pattinson's attachment to Queen of the Desert, Mission: Blacklist activity and more

Update on Robert Pattinson's attachment to Queen of the Desert, Mission: Blacklist activity and more

Things were a bit confusing a couple weeks back with conflicting reports from The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline. THR said Rob was out and Deadline said Rob was in.

The latest looks like Rob is still in. Bernie Leinfelder works with director, Werner Herzog, and had this to say:

Also, production company for QOTD, Division Films, shared this:

It's also looking like Rob might be hanging out with his Mission: Blacklist director, Jesper Ganslandt. Click HERE to see Ganslandt leaving Chateau Marmont with a ducking man. The last we heard, Mission: Blacklist is set to roll cameras Jan. 2014. We don't have any updates on the start date for Queen of the Desert. And the latest film to be added to Rob's slate, Life, is scheduled to start Feb. 2014. Rob's costar, Dane DeHaan, recently spoke about Life with Refinery29. If you'd like to follow our news on the film, check out our twitter account, @LifeTheMovie.

Lots up in the air so we wait....and see.....

 photo listening5.gif

Oh...we might as well round out all of Rob's "wait and see" movie news. The Rover has no premiere date set, festival or otherwise, but the distributors see us.
And Maps To The Stars has another notRob still out while Cannes 2014 buzz continues. You can read about it HERE.

Robert Pattinson, the impatient Englishman

Portrait of the man who went through "Twilight ", " Cosmopolis " and Dior ...

New image of the Dior Homme fragrance, the Twilight star refuses to be vampirize by glory. At 27, this idol 'so British' claims his artistic ambition and a fierce appetite for freedom. Encounter with a new wave gentleman .

He is the star of the Twilight saga. He swears only by Jean -Luc Godard. He is an idol who is tracked. He likes nothing better than a party with friends. He is cheerful. And pessimistic. Audaciuous. And anxious. To portray Robert Pattinson, we have to highlight his paradoxes. And to understand why this 27 year old boy, who was perhaps not prepared to deal with a cannibal glory, may give a particular meaning to the word "freedom." Some are more free than others, not him, forced into a seclusion that he wants to shatter.

One year after the end of the Twilight saga, which propelled him into the private circle of overpaid actors in Hollywood, the impatient Englishman wants to exist differently than in the translucent skin of a romantic vampire who electrifies girls. To reinvent himself, this ultrasensitive man based himself on his instinct, his requirement and his culture from old Europe.

The Beverly Hills Hotel, the legendary hotel of Los Angeles where Marilyn Monroe loved Yves Montand, we meet him in an overprotected suite, away from hysteric fans and inquisitive cameras. The air is frenetic. The star is in the stronghold. Robert Pattinson doesn't support a movie this time, but a new role : he is the new ambassador of the fragrance Dior Homme, after Jude Law. A superb prize of war for the French house, since Pattinson is the young man of the moment, intact image and worldwide aura. He embodies a more boyish and rock'n'roll character: it's the very arty Nan Goldin who signed the clichés of the campaign.

Robert Pattinson : "I don't want fear to win."

Werner Herzog Talks "Queen Of The Desert": "Coordinating all the actors’ schedules has made it difficult"

A couple of small updates on "Queen of The Desert" & "Mission: Blacklist"

 photo WernerHerzogampRobertPattinson.jpg

Werner Herzog spoke to the Washington Post while doing promo for his latest project, a short film called “From One Second to the Next,” and mentioned Queen of The Desert :
For his next project, the director of “Into the Abyss” is returning to death row for a follow-up to his “On Death Row” series, and he’s still hoping to make a film about the life of Middle East pioneer Gertrude Bell starring Naomi Watts and Robert Pattinson titled “Queen of the Desert.” He said coordinating all the actors’ schedules has made it difficult.
And not so much an update but Dylan Kussman (the screenwriter for Mission:Blacklist) tweeted this today:
Hopefully we'll have more news to report on these soon.
In the meantime don't forget you can keep up with all things Mission:Blacklist HERE and QOTD HERE

Movie updates for Robert Pattinson's Mission: Blacklist (Fall start date!) and Maps To The Stars

Movie updates for Robert Pattinson's Mission: Blacklist (Fall start date!) and Maps To The Stars

 photo ScreenShot2013-07-10at84704PM.png

We posted about this a couple of weeks ago HERE but it was officially announced today with Deadline reporting:
The Swedish invasion into Hollywood continues. Jesper Ganslandt has been tapped to direct Robert Pattinson in the psychological thriller Mission: Blacklist, about a brilliant young military interrogator who spearheads the capture of Saddam Hussein. Pic is based on the life of soldier-turned-intelligence agent Eric Maddox, who funneled his experiences into the 2008 nonfic book Mission: Black List #1 – The Inside Story Of The Search For Saddam Hussein – As Told By The Soldier Who Masterminded His Capture. The Code Entertainment project was announced at Cannes last year, back when Jean-Stéphane Sauvaire was set to direct. Following Sauvaire’s departure, Ganslandt stepped in and will make his English-language debut after directing three features — Blondie, The Ape, and Falkenberg Farewell — in his native Sweden.
Filming is scheduled for the fall. The script is by Band Of Brothers scribe Erik Jendresen, Dylan Kussman, and Trace Sheehan. Ross M. Dinerstein of Preferred Content is producing alongside Jendresen and Kevin Waller, with Code Entertainment producing and financing the project. Jesper is repped by Paradigm and Magnolia.
Did you catch the new info? Filming is scheduled for the fall! Another film blog for MB did a little more investigating and found a date as well - September 30th. Click HERE to read her report. If this holds true, Rob might start Mission: Blacklist after Maps To The Stars. I'm excited about this since MB is the only film of the five indies (The Rover, MTTS, Queen Of The Desert, Hold On To Me, Mission: Blacklist) where Rob is the clear lead. The Rover is close - he shares the screen pretty evenly with Guy Pearce but Mission: Blacklist would be Rob's. So YAY for this moving forward.

One of the screenwriters also tweeted earlier about the updates to the script they're making since Jesper came on board:
As for Maps To The Stars, Carrie Fisher has been added to the cast (as herself) and Julianne Moore, John Cusack and Mia Wasikowska have been spotted in Toronto. Rob obviously isn't there yet but twitter rumors are heating up with one person claiming to see his trailer already setting up and another claiming Rob will be in her city next week to film a movie. Rob is a supporting role in the film so it's no surprise he's not scheduled yet. We'll see what happens and keep you posted!

Status updates for Robert Pattinson's Mission: Blacklist! Production still a go for summer and a new director needed?

Embankment Films has updated their Mission: Blacklist page!

 photo ScreenShot2013-05-09at72641AM.png
The updates are:
  • Late Summer 2013 for the production date. That matches the report from Eric Maddox for the film to start in August
  • Delivery date is moved to Summer 2014. Exactly how many films will Rob have at festivals next year?? LOL If dates hold steady, he could have as many as four films going to fall festivals. That's only speculation but 2014 seems like it'll be the Year of Festivals for PromoRob. Who's complainin'? :))
  • Jean Stephane-Sauvaire's name has been removed as director. Hmmmmmm. As long as Rob is still there, I'm still there. We'll see what happens and keep you posted.

Mission: Blacklist screenwriter mentions Rob as Eric Maddox: "Robert Pattinson is a phenomenal choice"

Mission: Blacklist screenwriter mentions Rob as Eric Maddox: "Robert Pattinson is a phenomenal choice"

photo PromoPoster-2.jpgWhile we're in limbo on a start date for the Mission: Blacklist, Mission Blacklist France has a great interview with the film's co-screenwriter, Dylan Kussman:
Was it complicated for you to work on this book and, particularly, on this subject?

"The most challenging part about working on the project for me personally was absorbing the vast amount of research Erik and Trace had compiled before I came onboard. On top of the book itself, there were hundreds of pages of interviews they'd conducted with the Staff Sergeant, firsthand accounts of the Iraq War and of the American presence in Baghdad and Tikrit after Saddam's fall -- I had to get up to speed in a hurry. Once I'd gotten on top of the material, however, I was fortunately able to see a strong and clear contribution I could make towards rendering this soldier's mind-bending ordeal into a piece of dramatic cinema. Incredible human beings don't always make compelling onscreen protagonists, but between the work we've done as writers, Jean Stephane Sauvaire's guiding hand as director, and Robert Pattinson's committment to playing this inspiring figure with the fearless honesty for which he's known, I don't think that will be the case here."

Did you work directly with Eric Maddox to sort out what to take or not take from the book?

"Both Erik Jendresen and Trace Sheehan worked more directly with Eric Maddox than I did, and Mr. Pattinson has spent an extended amount of time with him at this point. They will be able to speak to your question better than me."
In the story, the blue shirt is very important and during a lecture in Oklahoma University, Eric Maddox said that Robert Pattinson will probably wear it, did you include it in your work?
"Eric Maddox wore the same blue oxford shirt throughout his intelligence effort to help locate Saddam Hussein, and we included that costume choice as part of Maddox's character in the screenplay. Whether Robert will be wearing the actual shirt during the shoot is a question for the director, actor, and Staff Sergeant Maddox to answer."
...
What do you think of Robert Pattinson's choice as the lead man?

"Robert Pattinson is a phenomenal choice. We were all thrilled when he came onboard. More importantly, after spending lengthy one-on-one time with Staff Sergeant Maddox, and getting Maddox's personal blessing to portray him in the movie ... he is the only choice."

What can you tell us (that nobody knows yet) about the movie or the project?
"All I can say is, you've never seen a story like this one, or experienced an intelligence, military or otherwise, like you will Staff Sergeant Maddox's in this film. His is truly a remarkable mind; I remain as much in awe of it now as I was after I first read the book, and I remain very proud to have been a small part of the process of bringing the man and his story to the screen"
Did this get you even MORE excited???

Eric Maddox mentions Robert Pattinson ("He's a great guy") and Mission: Blacklist

Eric Maddox mentions Robert Pattinson ("He's a great guy") and Mission: Blacklist

Eric Maddox spoke at the University of Oklahoma the other day and mentioned Mission: Blacklist and Rob.

 photo blueshirt.jpgExcerpt from OU Daily:
This same story is encapsulated in his book, “Mission: Blacklist #1,” on which a movie will be based starring Robert Pattinson, who will play Maddox. “Somebody wants to make a movie about my story - it’s very exciting,” Maddox said.
Maddox said he has already met and gotten to know Pattinson. “He’s a great guy,” Maddox said. “When they brought his name up to me, I had never heard of him before. I don’t believe in vampire movies and stories. I just didn’t know who he was.”
Maddox said he wore a single blue shirt for months in his search for Hussein, with no other changes of clothes. The shirt has a bigmouth bass embossed on it, Velcro pockets and bloodstains. “I’ve still got it [the shirt.] I think Rob is gonna wear it in the movie,” Maddox said.
How cool if Rob ends up wearing the actual shirt! If you read the book, you know the shirt didn't go unnoticed. Click HERE to read the full article. Follow Kate and I as we bring you more Mission: Blacklist news HERE.

What to know about Robert Pattinson in the "absurdist comedy", Maps To The Stars

What to know about Robert Pattinson in the "absurdist comedy", Maps To The Stars

While we patiently wait for Rob's next film to be filmed, a mystery film but presumed to be Mission: Blacklist, we have a fun read about Maps To The Stars, also currently a mystery as to when this will go down.

photo RobertPattinsonStrombo2-2.jpg Real Style Network did 5 fun facts about Rob in Maps To The Stars:
1. Maps To The Stars Is Robert Pattinson’s First Major Comedy… And It’s Dark
When we spoke with producer Martin Katz — who worked with Cronenberg and Pattinson on Cosmopolis — earlier this year, he described Maps To The Stars as an “absurdist comedy,” which will be a huge departure for Pattinson who has yet to star in a Hollywood comedy: “{I am working on my fourth collaboration with David Cronenberg called Maps To The Stars,” said Katz to Real Style. “It is an absurdist comedy about the entertainment business. We hope to be able to work with many of the people we have worked with before including Rob Pattinson.”
(Tink: Martin spoke a little more about Rob and Cosmopolis in his interview. Click HERE to read. This will be his 4th film with David Cronenberg so the interview is a good read as well.)
2. Maps To The Stars Pokes Fun At Hollywood
Maps To The Stars will hopefully be a rather revealing portrait of Hollywood with the stars of the film playing characters who are agents, actors and managers. That’s right. Robert Pattinson will probably ruffle some feathers by poking fun at the film industry in what will likely be one of the most talked about dark comedies of 2014. Think Entourage with an art house makeover with the reigning king of Canadian film, David Cronenberg, at the helms.
3. Robert Pattinson Will Likely Have Some Heavyweight Co-stars in Maps to the Stars
Although Robert Pattinson is the only star listed as officially being a part of the exciting film, one of Cronenberg’s favourite actor-collaborators, Viggo Mortensen, is likely involved. Mortensen has famously worked with Cronenberg on A History of Violence, Eastern Promises and A Dangerous Method. Mrs. James Bond, Rachel Weisz, has also been tied to the movie. That means Robert Pattinson is going to be in good company.
(Tink: As we know, Rachel is not going to be in MTTS. Click HERE for a recap.)
4. Maps to the Stars Makes Robert Pattinson A Member Of Cronenberg’s Inner Circle
Signing on to Maps To The Stars means Robert Pattinson is officially a member of David Cronenberg’s inner circle. Cronenberg is famous for collaborating multiple times with his favourite actors, including Viggo Mortensen, Jeremy Irons, Vincent Cassel and Real Style’s current cover girl, Sarah Gadon, who worked with Pattinson on Cosmopolis and also starred in A Dangerous Method. When we spoke with Gadon for our Spring 2013 cover story, she talked fondly of Pattinson. When we mentioned that working with Cronenberg has probably done wonders for raising Pattinson’s artistic credibility in Hollywood, she simply responded by saying, “Now he’s going to work with Wernver Herzog.” Not bad, Rob! Pattinson will star in Herzog’s Queen of the Desert opposite Jude Law and Naomi Watts in film about Gertrude Bell’s life — an archaeologist, explorer, cartographer, and political attaché for the British Empire at the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th century.
5. Cronenberg Will Leave Toronto To Shoot Maps To The Stars With Robert Pattinson
Although Cronenberg shoots a lot of his films, such as the Robert Pattinson headlined Cosmopolis, in his hometown of Toronto, Canada, Maps To The Stars is being filmed almost entirely in Los Angeles. It makes sense, given the story is about Hollywood.
How exciting that Rob is filming a comedy??? Sure an absurd one but those can be the best kinds. I'm so ready for Rob to bring his comedic talents back to the big screen.

Robert Pattinson's The Rover has media outlets buzzing: "awesome", "extremely promising", "can't wait" and MORE!

Robert Pattinson's The Rover has media outlets buzzing: "awesome", "extremely promising", "can't wait" and MORE!

UPDATE2: I liked what Hey U Guys had to say so I added it to the bottom! Also included Up and Comers.
UPDATE: Added a few more at the bottom!

PhotobucketThe first official still from The Rover came out today and the response has been GREAT! It's awesome to see positive articles about Rob's work in google alerts and we have to celebrate that. One site went above and beyond the standard "looking pretty good-cue Twilight diss-can't wait to see more" narrative. We Got This Covered had this to say about Rob and The Rover:
There’s a lot of reasons to look forward to The Rover. Firstly, its director David Michod’s follow-up to the extremely successful and very well made Animal Kingdom, a film that I was really, really impressed by. Secondly, it stars two actors who are often overlooked: Robert Pattinson and Guy Pearce.
Allow me to clarify that last comment. Yes, Pattinson is a mega-star but his acting talents are usually downplayed. Most critics don’t give him enough credit but if you’ve seen him in anything outside of Twilight, you’ll know that he’s quite a talented individual, capable of giving great performances. For all the backlash he gets for starring in the Twilight films, I actually really enjoy Pattinson as an actor and am very happy to see him taking on more mature, dramatic roles like this.
 ...
Excited yet? We sure are. And can you blame us? The trio of Michod, Pattinson and Pearce is an extremely promising one and that first look photo above looks great, I can’t wait to see the two actors face off against each other.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this early buzz for Rob and the film. Here are a few more select film outlets that were chatty about The Rover:
  • CinemaBlend: The Twilight series made Robert Pattinson a star, but also put the 26-year-old actor into a deep dreamboat hole that can threaten the longevity of an actor's career. So, taking a page from the smart pretty boys who came before him (Brad Pitt, Jude Law and Leonardo DiCaprio come to mind), he followed up his heartthrob role with something deeply indie, and niche-shatteringly deranged. David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis forced critics worn out by Twilight to reconsider Pattinson as he played a smarmy billionaire so numb he turns to self-destruction for salvation. And now, he's gearing up for a different version of grittiness in David Michôd's The Rover.
  • TheFilmStage: After proving his acting chops in last year’s twisted, overlooked David Cronenberg-directed drama Cosmopolis, Robert Pattinson is returning in 2013 with another highly-anticipated project,
  • ThePlaylist: We gotta admit, we sort of forgot this one was happening, but we have to say, we're glad it is...no word yet on a release date, but we'd wager 2014. Either way, we'll be looking forward to it.
  • MTV Movie Blog editor: "The Rover" with Robert Pattinson is already looking pretty great.
  • RopeOfSilicon: Pearce Points Pistol at Pattinson in New Picture..."giving you a look at just how down in the dirt this pic is going to get."
  • Flix66: Obviously Robert Pattinson has annoyed a very dirty and hairy looking Guy Pearce in this photo, so it’ll be interesting to see how all of that plays out when this movie hits theaters.
  • FirstShowing: If seeing Robert Pattinson step outside his sparkly vampire self from The Twilight Saga for more serious dramas like Water for Elephants and Cosmopolis just didn't sit right with you, then we have a new film that might work.
  • MovieFone: Robert Pattinson's latest bid to shed his "Twilight" reputation is the dystopian drama "The Rover," and as you can see below, he's taking quite a beating from Guy Pearce to prove he's no longer Edward Cullen.
  • CinemaTeaser: Awesome first pic for David Michôd's THE ROVER with Guy Pearce and Robert Pattinson
  • MovieHole: First still of Robert Pattinson and Guy Pearce in David Michod's "The Rover". Script is apparently ace!
  • Collider: Michod promises that The Rover is going to be “way more chillingly authentic and menacing” than those films. That’s some strong talk, but considering how great Animal Kingdom is, I’m inclined to take Michod’s word for it.
  • EmpireOnline: “You put cars in the desert in Australia and people are going to think of Mad Max,” says Michôd. “And with all due respect to that film –and I stress that – I think The Rover is going to be way more chillingly authentic and menacing.” We believe him on both counts.
  • HeatWorld: Whether Robert Pattinson's playing a teen wizard in Harry Potter, a vampire in Twilight or a fan of large mammals in Water For Elephants, he just always looks H-O-T. And his new movie's no exception.
  • TheMovies: You know what? Robert Pattinson is actually a pretty damn good actor.
  • UpandComers: With the “Twilight” franchise well and truly finished, Robert Pattinson is finally free to move on from Edward Cullen for good – and set pictures from his new film “The Rover” show a very different Pattinson. With a buzz cut, fake yellow teeth and facial hair, the British actor looks to be settling in to filming alongside Guy Pearce (“Lawless”) in David Michod‘s futuristic drama....Pattinson has a busy few years ahead of him following his meteoric rise to fame thanks to the role of Edward Cullen in Summit’s adaptation of the Stephanie Meyer novels. The “Twilight” franchise was a worldwide phenonemon but Pattinson has made smart career decisions, ensuring he isn’t pigeon-holed. Last year he premiered the David Cronenberg pic “Cosmopolis” at Cannes Film Festival, and later this year will begin shooting Jean-Stéphane Sauvaire’s “Mission Blacklist”, playing the man who spearheaded the capture of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein. He will also play a young Lawrence of Arabia in Werner Herzog’s “Queen of the Desert” and join Carey Mulligan in crime drama “Hold On To Me“.
  • HeyUGuys: David Michôd made a remarkable feature debut in 2010 with Animal Kingdom, and it’s no surprise that we’re looking forward to his sophomore film, The Rover. The film features an all-star cast, led by Guy Pearce, Robert Pattinson, and Scoot McNairy, and with the three on board for Michôd, it’s definitely shaping up to be a must-see next year. And in case you weren’t looking forward to it already, the first image of Pearce and Pattinson has been released, giving a great idea of what we can expect from Michôd here....The Rover is currently without a release date, but we’re expecting it to arrive sometime in 2014. With any luck, it’ll be fairly early next year. And though it’s early days yet, given the success of Michôd’s Animal Kingdom, we might even have an Oscar contender here for the end of this year.

Movie updates! Rachel Weisz out of Maps To The Stars, Quorn impresses Rob and more!

Photobucket Sad news for folks that were looking forward to Rachel Weisz working with David Cronenberg and Rob. She shared with Belfast Telegraph (UK) that she has no plans to be in Maps To The Stars:
Rachel also denied stories that she will be working with David Cronenberg in Maps To The Stars with Robert Pattinson and Viggo Mortensen. "I'm not in that. I'm unemployed for now," she joked.
I'm not heartbroken. Maybe Rachel and Rob aren't destined to work together. OR third time is the charm? As long as Rob's still in something, I'm happy. But we can light a candle for Rachel in the DR. ;) There's no word yet on when the film will go into production.

Also, The Rover producer, Liz Watts and director, David Michôd, put out a sweet thank you to the people of Quorn in the February 2013 Flinders Ranges Council Newsletter. They said Rob has been impressed by Quorn!

Lastly, no Rob mention, but the screenwriter for Hold On To Me, also honored with a placement for the script on the 2012 Black List, spoke to Going Into The Story, about the film. Click HERE to read Part 3 of Brad Ingelsby's interview with the mention!

That's the latest! The Rover will be wrapping soon and it's not set in stone what's next for WorkingRob.  The most recent update has him starting Mission: Blacklist in April. Time will tell!

From The Improper
Robert Pattinson won’t be heading into harm’s way in Iraq after all, when he starts filming “Mission Blacklist” about Saddam Hussein’s capture during the Iraq War, according to sources.

Rob will be jumping out of his current picture, “The Rover,” and right into filming his psychological thriller.

Principal production is scheduled to start as soon as April, studio Embankment Films has announced on its website.

A source confirms to TheImproper that the movie won’t be shot in Iraq as originally reported. The film will likely do its location shooting in Morocco or Jordan.

A number of period desert films have been shot the North African country, including 2001′s “Black Hawk Down.” In the last few years, Michael Patrick King’s “Sex and the City 2,” Disney’s “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time,” and “Inception” have been filmed there.

But Director Kathryn Bigelow chose to film her Oscar-winning Iraq war epic, “The Hurt Locker,” in Jordan. She wanted to be as close to Iraq as possible, while avoiding the war-torn country. “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” also filmed in Jordan in 1988.
