Have to re-read the book to see those passages ......

As promised, went to see Eclipse again today in Imax. Much better, the sound is more crisp not muffled in some cases. The cinematography much better in terms of color and scope due to wide screen.

Will see it again in Imax but will go at the middle end row. Was in the middle row today and the close-ups overwhelmed me at times, i.e. as if it's into my face. The middle range shots were good at my distance from the screen. When the shots are being "panned" out as if my chair is moving with the shots towards the screen. My first experience with Imax.... with Eclipse !!!!!!

Never tire seeing this again and waiting for the DVD to come out. As said yesterday, the E/B screentime is not enough... more... more... and epic love story I hope in BD. Don't know what the screenwriter and director will deliver next ..???

What can I say, both R&K are ... gorgeous and their acting ... believable and better I'd say !!! Glued to the screen not even a blink .. don't want to miss anything...

Seated with a mother and daughter about 15 yrs. old and it's their 2nd time at Imax and they are raving about the film. On the other side a lovely elderly couple in their 70's... there are a lot of guys around. One guy was jesting there's too much kissing and not enough fight scenes!!! There you go, boys/man want action ...and bantered~~ want more love scenes...

My nieces in Germany are also pissed off ..... saying half of the world had seen Eclipse and they haven't got it yet over there ......

I've seen in 9 times so far, including at the prem....

I am so in love with this movie, and David Slades brilliance and vision...

I was so worried he wouldn't "get" the love story, but he did...way better than the other two..

And he got the eyes right!!!!

Being "a bit" Robsessed, ahem, I was incredibly startled to find out just how massive Team Jacob really is! My midnight showing? WAAAAY more Tay fans---or at least much more vocal. LOL.

On the bright side, any time Rob was onscreen? You could hear a pin drop. That quiet. (Cause we were all rendered speechless by his manly BEAUTY. Yup.)

During my 4th viewing, one person actually CRIED---out loud---when Jacob was injured. I was in disbelief---didn't everyone READ THE BOOKS??? Wow, some Tay fans are in for a rude awakening (lol) in Breaking Dawn.

I'm actually beginning to like Taylor---he comes across very sweet with R&K. As for Jacob? Ehhh, DNW.

Anyone else shocked at the presence of NON-Rob fans during their viewings? It makes no sense, right? LOL. How is that even possible? Look at all that PRETTY!!!!

tedgirl - i so want to see it in IMAX, i will be back in cali. at the end of the month and i hope it's playing at least in one theater but it probably wont be. i saw it 3 times and that will probably be it for me unless i see it at the end of the month.

loved that rob & kristen were out and about last night :) (not even stepping into that thread - the claws are out LOL)

Ana73 said...

gwen - yeah i had alot more jacob fans in my theater too but they were young. i think rob has the older fan base (non screamers LOL). i actually enjoyed the movie the most the third time because there were no screams except for annoying little girl behind who was comparing the book to the movie the whole freaking time. i also noticed more men this time, my husband noticed it too, when he went to see NM with me he was literally the only male in the theater but this time there were more.

Ana73,

I think it was CullenLover who said, "see the movie in Imax", so heeded her advice.

Saw it 3 times in regular theatre but will definitely go on Imax again. I'll try to secure a seat in the middle on top row for better viewing......

RPG,

Salute you 9 times ... ! Perhaps it will be more before the film showing ends.

is anybody shocked that Eclipse still isn't ahead of new moon as far as ticket sales ?

Unknown said...

Cherry, I have been wondering the exact same thing.. how is that even possible?? this movie is WAY bigger than New Moon and everyone thinks this was the best movie out of all them so how are the sales lower?

LM said...

Gwen & Ana,
Same thing here--more Jacob/Taylor fans by a wide margin. Lots of snickers when Edward/Rob was on screen. Irritated me to no end. Kept telling myself, they were after all young girls. I do think that young girls relate more to Taylor because he is a really, really cute boy and not a man. They are still a little afraid of men. But I'm not, and Rob was wonderful. I could look at Rob for hours and not get tired of him.

PS This video emphasizes the romance which is probably why I loved Edward all through the books too.

PrettyBrownEyes said...

@annabelle
I honestly dont know but my theory is that even with the record breaking sales for Eclipse I think that when people saw New Moon they were disappointed that Edward was gone for like the entire movie so maybe that caused the franchise to lose some of it's fan base ?
or maybe fans just anticipated New Moon more to see how it would top Twilight since it was the second installment ? idk though those are just my theories on why. Personally I loved all of them.

I absloutely LOVE that vid. GAH!!! Thank you so much for that.

That song was so beyond perfect for that moment in the film. Literally EVERY time I hear it (and I play it a lot :-) ), it takes me right there and I feel those butterflies and that heart wrenching moment all over again.

I'm anxiously working out my 6th, 7th and possibly 8th viewings this weekend. I feel so behind.

Gwen Cooper 426 said...

Re box office, my thought is that the 4th of July holiday actually HURT ticket sales. Lots of folks in the US take vacations or go camping over the long weekend. I absolutely could not go to the theatre Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday.

Today, however, different story! ; )

PrettyBrownEyes said...

@Laurie
I agree that most younger girls are Team Jacob for all the wrong reasons of course. Twilight is a story about what it's like to fall in love for the first time and how it can be beautiful but at the same time painful as well and only older audiences can grasp that concept. You can't really relate to being in love if you've never experienced it or are too young to even know what it is, which is why it's natural for them to go for Jacob because he has the baby face and the nice abs. They dont understand that love goes deeper than the physical qualities then again most of them still think that boys and girls have cooties lol
I've seen the movie 5 times and LUCKILY everytime I've went there has always been a Mature audience so everyone got to enjoy it in peace.

@Gwen - ITA! The time of year for this release, I think is affecting the box office. There are also other releases playing for the younger demographics while in November most of the more dramatic Oscar potentials are released and the 'younger' market is looking for something to watch.

The midnight show was the most vocal audience I have encountered and there were quite a few puppy lovers. I just think they are more vocal. The more mature viewer all seem to be Team Robward.

Leg hitch, proposal and tent. . .*sighs*.

Went to see Eclipse with my daughter yesterdag and we both loved the movie. The action scenes were very good but it was the love story we were most interested in.

Oh Rob, he was just perfect as Edward. I always get mad when I read bashful comments about his 'bad acting' on f.e. EW and Imdb. They just don't know anything of Edward. Do people realize how difficult this character is to perform? In no way comparable to the others. I bet many even don't notice the subtle changes in his facial expressions. Rob can act with an intensity I don't find with other actors.
When I saw Edward on the big screen I thought of Robert, analizing his character in his interviews. He is so spot on, he knows Edward better than most of the fans do. What I really found was touching was that, despite his relationship with Bella, you could feel lonely and unworldly Edward throughout the whole movie. That's what I'm calling brilliant acting.
Daughter and me were both in tears at the proposal scene and in the end, when Bella explains why she wants to become a vampire.

beanie said...

The big theatre was sold out so we sat in a smaller one, also sold out.

Here in Belgium Eclipse had the biggest opening dag ever. About 80000 people went to see Twilight night, which is a huge number for such a small country. They had a big report of it at the news. Twilight is very popular here, and also Rob because his movie Remember me was very successful too.

The audience was mixed: many young girls but also couples, families, older people. People most of time don't react much in theatres in my country, only for laughing or so.
My daughter, who is a fervent Edward fan, sat next to some Jacob fans. Every time Jacob appeared they whispered comments. My daughter got so pissed that she asked them to keep silent, which they did lol.

As for BO numbers I think there are several reasons:
-summertime, good weather tend to keep people away from theatres here in Europe (not for Eclipse though).
- some Twilightfans turned away because they don't want to be part of such a hype
- many didn't like New Moon
- IMO the critics Twilight received on many blogs and in magazines have surely influenced more fans than we think of.
This is only my opinion though.

About the Edward - Jacob thing: in polls it's always Edward who wins, so I think we need to vote for him, couldn't stand Jacob being more popular, no way (lol).

Just received from the first screening in my country. The movie is great. The young actors get better with each movie and their appearance is improved a great deal. There is no one equial to Rob for facial expressions, he is pretty unbelievable. I loved Jackson in this one, in New Moon he looked kinda wierd.

It started to disturb me at one point that such a big part of the film is close-ups. While sitting nearby the screen it wasn't very pleasant to have some people pressed to your face all the time. If it would have been only Rob I probably wouldn't complain;)

The audience was relatively young and it seems teenagers prefer Taylor over Rob. Poor kids.

That was so beautiful. What a lovely way to begin this conversation. After having seen Eclipse five times now, simply because I can't get enough of Rob Pattinson larger than life on a huge screen, I have come to terms with the differences between the book and the movie. I miss much of the Edward dialog that makes us sigh and love him forever. I am still sick of the Jacob push in this film and the lines that Stephanie Meyer did not write that Melissa wrote for Jacob to make him a smidgen more likeable, although for me still not. I love each Edward/Bella moment and the meadow scene in the beginning as well as the scene in his bedroom are my favorites. I would have enjoyed the tent scene without the "I'm hotter than you" line which I'm sure had an intended double meaning and I thought it was a cheap shot. Otherwise the film was good. I am sure it will ultimately gross more than New Moon because so many people were disappointed in New Moon and only saw in once in the theater. I will go every chance I get to see Eclipse until it has left the theater.

ShariG said...

I wanted to comment on the Jacob/Edward thing. I went to a midnight showing and there were a gazillion teenagers in their pjs. Before the film the theater manager asked who were Team Edward and the cheers were deafening. He then asked for Team Jacob and there were far fewer although a vocal group. During the show when the music swells and kind of rocks out when Jacob first appears there were lots of screams. The Team Edward folks did more sighing than screaming. Again the first time you see Jacob without his shirt, teenage screams. Lots of laughter when he delivers his "I'm hotter than you" line. However, when Bella accepts Edwards proposals there was applause. The only place in the film where people spontaneously applauded. Since then I have seen the film four more times. The theater was not sold out at any of these showings and there were far more Edward fans than Jacob at each one by about a 3 to 1 margin. No cheering for Jacob, no applauding for Edward, but still lots of smiles and sighs for the Bella Edward moments. And there was laughter when Rob says, "Doesn't he own a shirt?"

OK-- I just got back from watching it in IMAX; the 3 previous times were regular screen.

After having commented on previous spoiler posts about praise for the acting and the loss of the real love story in the script and direction, I watched very carefully this time, especially Kristen's acting, which I had thought was spot on the previous times I viewed it, and for what I had felt was the scrpt and director's diminishing of the love for Edward that Bella had had in the book.

About the frst, I am totally sure after watching so carefully that my fiirst (3) impressions were correct; Kristen 'got' Bella perfectly. I don't find her to have been unaffected; I felt her subtle understated acting was absolutely unquestionably perfect for her portrayal of Bella.
But I now feel differently about the love part. Except for one scene-- when Bella is angry at Edward for letting Jacob know in a cold way that she had agreed to marry Edward, and Bella pushes Edward off wth a DON'T (totally dfferent from the book, where she is crying for hurting people she loves, and EDWARD is the one who goes and brings Jacob back to her), except for that, I clearly saw the love they had for each other, the love Bella had for Edward so much stronger, so different from her love for anyone else including, of course, Jacob. So, I was wrong; I just don't get why they had to change the script there, or why I didnt see the love more clearly the first 3 viewings; I am not a dense person. But I definitely did not see it until I examined it very closely and realzed it WAS there after all.

So now I TOTALLY Love the movie and think and feel it is the best of the 3 so far! Not everything was perfect, but it was pretty darn close.

annacrispeta said...

Just got in from my second time. In my country (Colombia) the Twilight fever is very low, so yesterday there were about 20 people in the theater. Today, about 10. Yesterday, mostly teenagers and today all adults. One man alone, 4 in couples. So no noisy fans, perfect silence for best enjoyment. I know there are one or two cities that have real Twilight fever, but for the most part, Colombia is a lukewarm Twilight territory (shame on us!)

I loved the wolves! They were soo real. And loved the training scenes. Bellward in general was perfect, though I wish I could have felt more the joy Bella and Edward have in each other, maybe because their relationship in the movies has felt more serious than joyful, but I really enjoyed the smile that lit Eds face up when Bella said YES.

In the book, Bella takes control and comes to her own at the end, and stops making mistakes and everyone suffer. In the movie you don't feel that process.I know David and Melissa and Stephanie wanted to make Bella very strong and sure of herself, but to me she seems controlling and selfish all the time.

For example, in the movie she gets mad at Ed for not telling her Jake was listening, when in the book she gets horrified at herself for hurting Jake.

And to me, the ending was a bit lacking in that we don't feel the inevitability of Bella loving Edward. In the book, she knows who she cant live without, and the choice makes itself (there in no real choice between Jake and Ed).. in the movie we get the feeling that Bella chooses the vampire life - Edward being in that package-, not that she chooses the vamp life because that is what comes with being with the one she can't live without...

This doesn't change the way I see the story, and I still love the movie, but many people who did not read the book will not understand that the feelings that bind Ed and Bella are the driving forces of every decision in the whole series.

To end in a happy note, I loved the score. Not like NMs which I felt was to refined or detached for the movie. This one was spot on perfect! So intense!

BTW-- the only other film I have seen in IMAX was the last Harry Potter which I loved and appreciated even more in IMAX (I had seen it a few times in regular screen as well). For Eclipse, some of the IMAXed scenes made me feel dizzy. I had thought with Halfblood Prince it was the shootng and the broomstick ride that had made me dizzy; now I wonder if it is just certain types of scenes shown in IMAX.

PrettyBrownEyes said...

@solas
I agree it seems the more I watch it I have mixed emotions but like you I have come to terms with the movie by accepting the things I did not like about it. I was upset about a lot of things I felt could have been done differently but mostly because I didn't feel the 'unconditional and irrevocable' love Bella is supposed to have for Edward ubt hopefully next movie since the whole love triangle hype is over it will go back to the original story of just Bella and Edward and of course their new addition. Melissa Rosenberg has confirmed that Jacob's book will not be written into the movie so that was a big relief.

I saw this clip a couple weeks before the movie was released, I saw it at work and about died!! So an awwww moment. Love Robsten!!

The audience for the 3 times I've seen it were all quiet except for a little laughter at the funny parts. No screamers at all.

I think some people may not be going to see Eclipse because of the action scenes. I know I was very worried about them before I saw the movie, because I was afraid they were trying too hard to attract boys. I was worried it was going to be like a Bruce Willis movie LOL. Luckily, the action scenes are great & fit in the movie, but a lot of people may have the same worries & just not go see the movie.

So MR isn't going to do Jacob's POV of Bella's pregnancy? That is going to be interesting. Wonder how that is going to work out. Hate to say it, but that is a key component in BD.

I wonder what else she is going to leave out. Ugh!

I can't understand why everyone is not Team Edward. When I read these quotes from the book, it helps me remember why I love the books so much and why I love Edward. I loved the Edward and Bella scenes in the movie. I thouhgt that Rob was amazing in this movie and in Remember Me. I have seen Remember Me five times in the theater and own the DVD. I have seen Eclipse five times so far and plan to see it many more times. I think Rob's acting is amazing. I believe he has a natural acting talent.

@Leeanne
no she did an interview at a convention in Paris and she didnt really go into much detail they were just asking her what was definitely going to be in BD and of course she said the love scenes and the birth and everything then she was asked was she going to keep the book of Jacob and she said no. She said she's basically going to not really have it in just one person's point of view I still dont really understand most of it but hopefully all questions will get answered once they start shooting.

PrettyBrownEyes said...

@ocd56
if you read my post from earlier I said that most people that are team jacob are mostly young teenie boppers who think that physical features define the things within. They look at Jacob and think 'oh bella is crazy choose the guy with the hot body and the cute face'. Most young girls cant really relate to being in love because they have never experienced it so they dont get why everyone is so infatuated with Edward's character. I know I've said this a million times but I'm gonna say it again ..
who even started the whole 'team' thing ??
because I've been reading the books before the movies came out and there never was a choice Bella had to make it was ALWAYS Edward that was her soulmate. I'm going to assume that the people that did start it didn't read the books first and were just followng the movies because they would have known that she was never going to choose Jacob.
I'm rambling again but I hope that answered your question.

You know I've been wondering, if TL/Jocob has kept the wig and didn't build up the body and or they decided to have him keep the shirt on... would the fans be this mad about Taylor?

I mean Kellan/Emmett have the same body... if not better and he's taller... if Emmett shirt was off the same way... what then?

IMO... I think Edward have a LOT of fans... they just are not very noisy.... a smaller group of ppl tend to do that.

I think Summit's portrayal of Jacob is making more people into team Jacob.

It looks like the movie script favors Jacob and also they put too much makeup on Edward and contact lens color is too orange.

Why can't they keep his makeup very light like they did in the first Twilight? He really doesn't need all that makeup on.

It just upsets me that Summit pushing for Jacob/Taylor is working in terms of increasing his popularity when this movie should really be about Edward and Bella.

I just finally saw this yesterday, I was reluctant to see Rob in any Twilight movies after NM disaster. But it was good, in my theater people were quite and respectful.
They listen and smile laughs at the amusing dialogue.

Yes Bella was dissapointing in the tent scene and ending scene, MR cut/change the pivotal lines so the scenes was an anti climax, instead of the deep emotional feelings we got when we read the book. Compare to CR Twilight ending when we really feel for Edward and Bella in the prom scene.

The J/B kiss was meh, I don't see the big deal some were complaining.

Don;t compare Edward to Jacob, Edward is beautiful, elegant while jacob isn't and has a big nose. I don't see the big fuss, his body is average, only in America, shows their lack of taste.

solas said...

I normally give people the benefit of the doubt, but I also think out of the box a lot (like most of the time). And so, I am wonderng if Summit, or the industry at large perhaps, is giving more attention to Taylor, and pumping up Jacob way beyond what was written, and manufacturing the team Jacob nonsense, because Taylor is a team player, handles the mobs and the orders and spouts the party line like a 'star' as opposed to Rob, who sought to act and did not seek fame and stardom n and of itself.

Funny story.
First time I saw Eclipse; after Bella had kissed Jacob and went back to Edward with such heart break on his face...a very not young woman said.."You Bitch" to Bella. Love how people get into this movie.

ShariG said...

Solas, that has been my problem with the film too. They made it seem as if Edward was so much more in love with Bella than she is with him and yet we know from the book that she she believes he is perfect and that she is not worthy of him. I wanted some of the beautiful dialog from the video clip in the beginning of this comment section to be in the film. I never felt for a minute while reading the book that Jacob ever had a chance with Bella. But all of the Team this and that put out there by Summit made it essential for movie goers to actually think she might chose Jacob. I guess they had to do something to make him a more realistic possibility. For me that got away from the underlying story throughout and that was the unwaivering love between Edward and Bella. I'm glad you see the love more after multiple viewings. I am still looking for it. I didn't like that she left him standing by his car to jump on Jacob's motor cycle in the school parking lot. Bella doesn't say "By lying to me", she is crying and Edward is comforting and Jacob says, "Better frightened than lied to." It is one of those many, many moments when you love Edward for his love of Bella and you don't like Jacob. There are many of those moments left out of the movie. She doesn't go with Jacob in front of Edward as if she doesn't care about his feelings. I also agree about the moment on the mountain when she realizes Jacob has over heard them talking about the fact that she had agreed to marry Edward. She is miserable when she comes back after kissing Jacob because she feels she has betrayed Edward. In fact she cries after kissing Jacob. I liked Edward's reaction in the book. He said Jacob made him look like the patron saint of ethics and asked her if she really believed he would go get himself killed to pave the way for him. You could clearly see Jacob's motivation and Edward's greater understanding and stronger character. They omitted that so you really didn't know who she was going to chose. The book makes it so obvious. And then the final scene when he asks why she is letting Alice make all the arrangements. It is not that awful speech she gives in the movie about it not being a choice between Jacob and Edward but rather who she ought to be rather than who she is, making it sound like the better person would have chosen Jacob. I hated that. In the book she says she wants the wedding because his soul is far too important for her to take chances with. So much better than Melissa R.'s revision for the movie.

So, after multiple viewings, I like the movie second only to the original Twilight and much more than New Moon, but there is Edward dialogue that I miss and scenes between Edward and Bella that I miss and too, too much Jacob throughout. Oh well. Back to the video at the start of the comment section. I love this song and these Bella Edward moments. Have to watch it one more time before I go to sleep.

Hear All A flutter, in my theater a woman said "You jerk" out loud after Jacob kisses Bella. I thought she meant Jacob, but maybe she meant Bella too. All I know is Jacob Bella better not win best kiss in the MTV awards next year. Whether it means something to Kristen and Rob or not it is going to be a point of honor that Rob wins that award with her.

tina tri, as is usually the case blanket statements are not usually very accurate. There are many, many of us in America who do not see the attraction to Taylor Lautner. Young teenage girls who have never seen a guy with his shirt off may think this is the height of sexual awakening, but for the majority of women over 13 in every country, Rob Pattinson is by far hotter.

nellieduff said...

@monique LOL, you're right, I think Emmett should have his shirt off. Taylor can't wear clothes because he can't phase with his clothes, and Emmett can't wear shirts because he can't find shirts to fit over his pecs and biceps. Hee hee hee...
Okay, anyhow.... I am ashamed to admit that I have only seen Eclipse once. In IMAX, which was amazing. I want to know where Ms. V got all that footage. Was that all from trailers and clips? Wow. Loved that video. I am going to have to sneak off to see Eclipse again as my husband would think I'm weird (okay, let's face it, he already thinks I'm weird...) and my kids would want to come. Already saw it with them, want to go alone. I am going to tell hubby I need some mental health time this weekend and go see it again. No IMAX this time. It's an hour and a half away from my house and plus I kind of want to see it on regular screen so I can focus on the whole thing. Saw Jackson in Last Airbender today with my 7 yr old son. Critics be damned. A bit slow in a couple of parts, but otherwise I really liked it. The girl who plays Katara (Nicola Peltz) is going to be in Unbound Captives with Rob and said in a recent interview that although there is no official word, they are going to be starting soon and that it's definitely a go. I am so excited to hear that. Anyhow, I'm sure I'll be on the spoiler post again because you see new things each time you see a film. I want to see all of Rob's expressions and nuances. I want to concentrate on the music, which is awesome, and how it enhances the scene. I want to see Alice and Jasper again because I LOVED them in this movie. I want to see Kristen having the "talk" with Charlie again because that was hilarious, and I want to see Edward propose, well, the whole bed scene again, for obvious reasons. Anyhow, off to bed, after I watch Ms V's video once more...

@ShariG
ITA with all of your posts.
Hopefully now that all of this stupid 'love triangle' stuff is over Breaking Dawn will get back to the original love story like it was in Twilight.
It started with Edward and Bella it should end with them too.

Shar= I find it interesting that you said 'after multiple viewings,' echoing what I had said. What does it say about a film if it takes multiple viewings to uncover the real love story? Were the first few viewings so overwhelmed with so many stimuli to the senses that the love was hidden? Were there so many story additions and changes that we as viewers were concentrating on processing those rather than seeing the love that was indeed there? After today, I am thnkng that is closer to the actuality, because today I concentrated on Rob's and Krsten's portrayal of Edward and Bella, and all else was outsde noise. ANd in watchng them, I saw the love I had missed in the first few viewings when I was taking in the whole film.

BTW--Did anyone besides myself get the feeling with the 'leg htch' that the director deliberately panned in, almost as overkill, on that specific movement because the fans had been demandng that specific action? As if he was saying, 'here you big complainers-- you've got your friggn leg-hitch!'

yea but you have to remember that 42% of New Moon's sales came on the front end; which means people went to see it base on the first film Twilight. A lot of people hated New Moon(in fact New Moon nearly ruined the whole series for me) and probably swore off Twilight forever. Hopefully good word of mouth will help Eclipse surpassed NM's Box office.

My fav book was Eclipse. Do I think David Slade captured the eternal love of E/B as portrayed in the book? NO, but he tried.

The leg hitch and the proposal started out ok, but became anticlimactic. After a proposal like that, you have to show a close up of their joy and kiss. Instead the camera panned out and we get a long shot of a hug. Seriously!

@solas
OMG I have been saying the same thing you're saying and I even tried to stop posting comments on the spoiler posts because even though many people agreed with me SOME sensitive people were saying that I was complaining about how the real love wasn't captured in this movie blah blah blah but I wasn't complaining at all I loved the movie but there were some thing I didn't love either.
and I totally agree with you about the leg hitch it was just lie thrown in there like if the fans wouldn't have made such a big deal about it it probably would have been skipped completely but I still think it was watered down. In the book that scene was MUCH MUCH more sensual Bella was practically on TOP of Edward and in the movie he barely even put her leg over his waist. It's like come on guys it's PG-13 ! you can do better than that ! They have way more sexuality and sensual scenes like that in other pg-13 movies
for example [Remember Me] ??
I think they are still trying to cater to a younger crowd which really makes me mad I just hope they capture the details in BD.

I have a proposal for summit. Hire Hardwicke to film all the E/B romantic scenes Pleaaase. It all started out with her anyway. None of these male directors have been able to duplicate "it" , that thing she brought out of R&K in Twilight. Not ONE.

Imagine her filming that leg hitch and proposal scene. OMG!

PrettyBrownEyes said...

@prc
omg you took the words right out of my mouth
after the proposal scene I wanted to basically scream at the screen and say 'HE JUST GAVE YOU THE MOST ROMANTIC PROPOSAL EVER AND YOU'RE HUGGING EACHOTHER ??!! JUMP ON HIM GIVE HIM A PASSIONATE KISS DO SOMETHING ELSE BESIDES HUG !!'
but I didn't I probably would have gotten kicked out of the theater so I just sat and endured it lol

PrettyBrownEyes said...

@prc OMG
I'm like loving your posts you're saying all of the things I've been saying for the longest.
Am I the only one who thinks that Edward and Bella's first kiss in Twilight when they're in her bedroom was the HOTTEST KISS ever ?!
[thanks to Catherine]
none of the kisses in New Moon or Eclipse topped that one it was just so sexy !
I honestly wish Catherine could have directed all of them but I guess they had to get different directors to bring different styles. I agree that they should get her to direct all of the sensual scenes though.

Just got back from seeing Eclipse for the first time. They all seemed so much more comfortable with their roles and Taylor's acting was much better!

Loved the Tent scene with Jacob and Edward - lot of information there. Really liked the conversation between them.

Loved the bedroom scene "believe me, I want to!" OMG There were a few lines there that I didn't hear however that I wanted to know what Rob said about taking her clothes off. Does anyone know what he said there?

The close ups were a little too much sometimes and the action was way too fast to really see what was going on - probably even in slo mo it would just be a blur.

Really liked the back scenes of Rosalie and Jasper especially. Jasper was really great in this one.

Love Billy Burke - he stole most scenes - awesome dude.

Overall, I really liked Twilight the best and I guess it's because it was new and about the first love and attraction for each other that was so intoxicating.

I think I've just seen too many interviews and read too much about the trinity now that when I heard Tay and Rob talk about how they would laugh and get tickled at doing the scenes where they had to act like they didn't like each other just made me not be able to take their scenes as seriously.

Rob is my whole reason for watching now. He totally makes the entire thing for me 100%. Personally I think the writing and dialog is lame but watching Rob in action is just pure joy.

Oh one more thing. I still think the worst thing that ever happened to those books is the script writer, MR.

I dont think it was totally MR
I think she does have a BAD HABIT of cutting out all of the important parts and key aspects of the story for a movie but I think it's basically the idea of switching directors for each film. I guess I understand why they did it. They knew each director would capture the story I guess better or in a different way than the same one would and the actors wouldn't get bored and feel like they were stuck playing the same thing. Each movie is different but I think MR tries to clean it up too much.

Please do not posty links in the comments, expecially to illegal downloads of the movie. Illegal downloads kill the movie business. Support Rob, don't download cam recorded movies.

Don’t compare Edward to Jacob, Edward is beautiful, elegant while Jacob isn’t and has a big nose, an acne scar. I don’t see the big fuss, his body is average, only in America they tend to exaggerate, it shows their lack of taste.

Charlie and Bella conversation
, meh too.

Riley, whats that about him being hot,Not!

One thing for sure Robward is yummy, his skin is so flawless, his eyelashes.

Kristen bella is emotionless, Bella in the book is a way better actress.

Well if we stop watching the crap Summit is giving us than maybe they will start listening to fans who reads the books who are their captive market.

Not bad, but not good enough for me to see it again, but if they fast forward to the cullens, edward and vampire maybe. The only wolf I like is Billy Black.

And Rachel Victoria is badass, while Bryce is not, even Riley was not bad enough.

Hi Everyone,

Just got back from seeing Eclipse for the first time. What can I say, Rob/Edward is just breathtaking and HOT especially the fighting scene with Victoria (Love action Rob). He looks so cute in the graduation scene. Believe me, my brain was not functioning each time I watched Rob/Edward through the whole movie. Just drooling on him. Doesn't really care about Jacob cause he is a jerk (especially in the book) and started to get bored with the shirtless and abs thing. I have a feeling that Summit is trying to make Jacob a likeable character. But still he is a selfish and arrogant character to me.

About the movie, everything happened so fast. Definitely going to watch again. I think the emotional scene on Bella confronted Edward after kissing J should be much longer and more emotional. Looks like Summit was trying to show that B kissing J is not a big deal at all which is weird to me. I don't feel J/B kissing was hot nor good. But I do feel bad for Edward when J/B kissed (especially if you read the book). I really feel like crying at the last meadow scene and the proposal scene. Love Charlie and Bella scenes, cute and funny. Love all the Cullens scenes. Love the action scenes and vampires are much much more cooler than the wolf pack. Summit should have put more emotional B/E scene (there's a lot in the book)rather on B/J.

Rob, you are the perfect Edward to me since I first saw Twilight half a year ago. I would say it is difficult to play the character but you are able to pull it out. You inspire me to read the books after that. Do keep up the good work. Looking forward on your new movie, Bel Ami, WFE, Unbound Captives and Breaking Dawn.

Team Edward/Rob all the way.

Ok. So i loved the movie. But the thing that made me mad was why cant they ever follow the book? Is that too much to ask? The book is so perfect and all i want is to see it on screen! That being said I was a little mad at certain points in the movie. Ok my favorite chapter was ch. 20 when he proposes and everything and they cut that scene so short in the movie! Why would you do that summit!!I felt like the movie went wayyy to fast. Every scene was kind of just like BAM! I didnt think there was enough love between Edward and Bella. i would have loved to see ALOT more. That is what makes the movie. I dont care about Jacob at all. One scene that made me so mad was when jacob kisses bella for the first time. they should have showed a little more of that scene in the movie. I would have loved to see bella getting mad at him and calling up edward to come get her. I loved that part in the book how she got really mad at him but they dont show that in the movie. Why do they have to push Jacob so much? REALLY! cause thats not how its supposed to be! UGH Thanks for letting me vent guys but I am an EDWARD/BELLA lover and definately want to see more of them!!

*waves* Hi, I'm MySparklingVampire (MsV) and I just wanted to say THANK YOU for posting this here... and to everyone who commented... I never realized that people were going to like it so much... it just blew my mind! :) Anyway, I apologize if my video made any of you cry... it wasn't my intention at the time, but I guess it's nice to know something I made can evoke such a strong reaction from people... still can't believe how popular it is, I'm just having a bit of trouble getting my head around this... I'm kinda perplexed... once again, thank you all, I really appreciate every single one of you. :)
