Robsessed Awards Results - Robert Pattinson's Best Performance of 2011

Robsessed Awards Results - Robert Pattinson's Best Performance of 2011

Winner: Edward Cullen!

Separated by only 200 votes, this race was a tight one! Edward Cullen's 42% to Jacob Jankowski's 35%. Rob as Rob was not far behind and could have made it a 3-way tie with a couple hundred votes taken from Edward.

Next year will certainly be more challenging with Rob as Georges Duroy, Eric Packer, and his final go as Edward Cullen. Plus, there's always the MTV Rob Awards kicking off the summer. ;)

Some awesome E&B videos after the cut to celebrate Rob as swoony Edward!

Winner: "Just the tip"!

38% of you voted for "Just the tip". I'm not surprised it had the most votes. Rob referencing his penis in any way edges out the competition. After Rob dropped THAT bomb, the screams erupted in the audience and Rob said to Jimmy, bewildered, "How is that a scream?"

............

Oh Rob...

Find out the runner up quote with 23% of the vote after the cut!
Also not a surprise...

Robsessed Awards Results - Robert Pattinson's Best TV Show Appearance of 2011

Robsessed Awards Results - Robert Pattinson's Best TV Show Appearance of 2011

Winner: Jimmy Kimmel!

Photobucket

With 44% of the vote, Rob's Jimmy Kimmel appearance in November to promote Breaking Dawn was more than the tip for you guys. The interview is buried deep in our...er...minds. Jimmy Fallon (30%) & Ellen Degeneres (23%) finished 2nd and 3rd. If you missed the flashback of the interviews, click here to view.

Because Rob was uber-hot for the Kimmel appearance, I wanted to take a walk down Rob-lane with our Kimmel gallery, including Rob's appearance in April 2011 to promote Water for Elephants.

Robsessed Awards Results - Robert Pattinson's Best Non-Fandom Supporter of 2011

Robsessed Awards Results - Robert Pattinson's Best Non-Fandom Supporter of 2011

Winner: Joshua Horowitz!

Photobucket

While 2nd place winner David Cronenberg is arguably the best supporter for Rob going into 2012, Josh won by a landslide with 48% of the vote. Josh is a fandom favorite and took the honor of Best Non-Fandom Supporter easily. Revisit the other nominees here.

Highlights of Josh's 2011 accomplishments in Rob-land:
  • Bear's name revealed
  • Rob plays the cello
  • First mention of Cosmopolis
  • Kneel, open your mouth, smile and pray
  • Goodies for Rob & Kristen shippers
  • Brings up rumors (Unbound Captives, Jeff Buckley project, Akira, American Idiot)
  • Asks Rob about his music
And so much more. Truly.

Josh doesn't shy away from bringing up Rob to other actors that are connected to him either. He's top notch with his Rob questions and the results are always to our benefit.

MTV is positively miserable with their videos. I wanted to include all of Josh's interviews with Rob this year but what should be 10 videos would end up being like 100. So click HERE if you want a 2011 Rob & Josh refresher. You'll have to scroll through many pages because naturally the MTV videos aren't in order by date or able to be filtered.

Robsessed Awards Results - Robert Pattinson's Best Funny Face

This one was the hardest for me to compile and vote for. I eventually narrowed it down to give you a choice of 12 faces and out of those 12 faces these were your top 3!

In 3rd place with 11% of the vote was funny face 3 from the Bravo "Breaking Dawn" Press Junket Interview

Photobucket

In 2nd place with 15% of the vote and from the same Bravo Interview Funny Face 12

The Guardian (UK) calls Robert Pattinson & David Cronenberg pairing "pretty special" + Bel Ami and Cosmopolis make 2012 lists

The Guardian (UK) calls Robert Pattinson & David Cronenberg pairing "pretty special" + Bel Ami and Cosmopolis make 2012 lists

Photobucket

From The Guardian:
Robert Pattinson already looks to be forging the most interesting post-Twilight career of its leads, and here he teams up with David Cronenberg for an adaptation of Don DeLillo’s 2003 novel. Cosmopolis is a modern answer to Joyce’s Ulysses: one day in the life of asset manager Eric Packer, who loses billions of dollars in the financial markets in a 24-hour period as his limo traverses New York.

The Guardian also posted about the futures of Harry Potter & Twilight stars. Here is the excerpt about Rob:
Arguably, it's Pattinson who looks to be making the most interesting moves. At 25, he's the oldest, and cut his teeth as Cedric Diggory in the Potter films. In the past he has demonstrated a literary/artistic bent (he played Salvador DalĂ in his last pre-Twilight film, Little Ashes), and he's going down that road again next year, with Bel Ami (released 2 March), an adaptation of the Maupassant novel. Later in the year we should be getting Cosmopolis, another literary adaptation (of Don DeLillo's 2003 novel), which has Pattinson as a mega-rich asset manager stuck in a limo for 24 hours. The director is David Cronenberg, so chances are this will be pretty special.

Photobucket

The Independent listed Bel Ami & Cosmopolis as unmissable cultural treats in 2012:
Bel Ami

Twilight's Robert Pattinson plays an unscrupulous journalist on the make in 19th century Paris in an adaptation of Guy de Maupassant's novel directed by Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod (from theatre company Cheek by Jowl.) Long before phone hacking and the Leveson Inquiry, the film shows that journalists were using the most devious means to get ahead.

Release date: 2 March

Cosmopolis

A multi-millionaire young stockbroker heads across Manhattan in a limousine to have a haircut. It may not sound like much of a starting point for a film but David Cronenberg's screen version of Don DeLillo's novel promises to be a sleek and disturbing satire about narcissism and modernity. Robert Pattinson stars as the self-absorbed anti-hero.

Release date: TBC
Cosmopolis made MovieHole's top 25 most anticipated films of 2012. Cosmopolis is #7 :)
7. Cosmopolis

Say what you will, Robert Pattinson is the still clandestine talent of the Twilight franchise. Coupled with director David Cronenberg, he might finally be able to convince the cynics of that.

Dean seems to be on vacay. Rob should have called me. I could be his off season bodyguard. I can be his long lost pal. For code names, maybe I can call him Betty and he can call me Al....

It's late on the west coast which explains the above sentences. ;)
