Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Enjoy Johnny Flynn Concert in Los Angeles (3/30)

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Enjoy Johnny Flynn Concert in Los Angeles (3/30)

I have no picture but I do have a story. I tend to get wordy so the story is after the cut. I try to control myself. ;)

It all starts with this exclusive interview Rob did for Amazon back in 2008.

FULL encounter after the cut!

Marcus Foster Endures Lame Comments about Robward

I know you missed my amazing skills with photoshop, see how awesomely I marked Marcus?

In an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com singer/song writer Marcus Foster opens up about his upcoming American shows, how he'd like to tour with Rob Pattinson, and more importantly jokes about his obvious love for his vampire best friend! Twilight fans know that Marcus and Bobby Long co-authored the song Let Me Sign which Rob performed on the movie soundtrack, and that Marcus is part of the Brit Pack, those scruffy haired hot British guys who make up the inner circle in RPattz's life.

The musician tells RadarOnline.com that he almost cut off his thumb on Wednesday night:

"I was just making something in the workshop and my thumb went through this machine called a band saw, and it nearly took my thumb off. I've got a sculpture show I'm working on this week; I'm making some things for that. It's ok, it's fine I didn't need stitches or anything and it will heal but it just means I'm going to have to cancel this show I'm doing on Sunday. I've got to cancel it today. I could do it, but I can't take the risk of a long term injury."

We were first concerned about blood everywhere, and Marcus bravely says:

"Yes, it was quite horrific but it's alright. It's only pain," but we were clearly concerned with Edward trying to kill him for his blood.

"Yeah, well, I don't think he is a vampire," the musician sagely tells us. "That is just a movie. Although, maybe he was, that's how he got the part!" (Gozde: Oh Marcus, you are so polite! I don't think I could find the unbitchiness in myself to answer that lame ass comment from the interviewer:))

As for being best friends with the star, Marcus gets perks that regular folks don't get. "Rob's showed me a bit of the script, I think it's the beginning where she cuts her thumb," he says, referring to Bella's birthday scene where she cuts her finger. So we want to know, was he just reenacting that scene? "Oh yeah, my life is just reenacting Twilight scenes. It's mad!" he jokes. (Gozde: I feel for you Marcus, I feel for you. Who asks these questions?!?)

Before he kicks off his American tour, Marcus tells RadarOnline.com that he's "going to New York as well in a couple of weeks to see my friend Rob which will be nice."

He doesn't know if he'll be hanging on set with Rob, but it sounds like they're just going to lay low.

"We're just going to chill out I think, I haven't seen him for a while." Marcus didn't know about the craziness that is Rob's life since he's been in New York so when we told him about his buddy he said:

"Really? Wow, that's so weird. Well, we'll probably just stay inside the apartment and just drink, heavily." (Gozde: Atta boy! :))

As for the fame that's come to the stars, Marcus hasn't seen a change in Rob. "Whenever I see him he's the same, which is great. You know, you see people who fame changes, but it's great, Rob is still the same old guy so it's really nice. "

Gozde: Check out Marcus' music on mysace :))

Thanks to Dayna for the tip ;)

Fan Encounter and Picture from 08/08/2009

Remember tinkrbe1l3 that froze on her tracks when she saw Rob on Friday night? Well last night she didn't :) I have a huge smile on my face because she is the cutest! Read it, you'll agree ;)

*Gozde: You see 100 pix of Rob smiling and 1 picture without a smile makes everyone get up in arms about his "well being". Just read the cute story man, don't judge every picture...

Sooooo…me again and do I have a story for you (can u tell by the pic???). This one is a little longer because of the build up but it’s a goood story IMHO. Where did we leave off from Friday night: I’m a moron. I don’t know how to talk to people I adore. I don’t know how to look at people I adore. My best friend rocks. Did I mention what I do for a living? I teach public speaking. Yeah. Seriously.

Here’s how I gave myself a Cher (Moonstruck) slap and snapped outta it. During Marcus’ show Friday night he mentioned he’d might play the piano for his Saturday show. I’m a sucker for some good piano playin’ and since my brain was melting on Friday, I didn’t get to really take in the show like I wish I could have. So I considered going again if there were tix and if I could get someone to come with. There WERE tix (crazy!) and I got a friend to tag along (not the best friend who was busy). All was good. I knew Rob wasn’t gonna come because…I don’t know. That’s just what I told myself at the time. My goal? Marcus on the keys. This is when it all starts to be God/kismet/meant to be/luck/whatever you pray to because if Marcus didn’t mention the piano, I wouldn’t have gone to see him again.

My friend had asked me earlier in the day what my ultimate goal was here with Rob (she was just getting the story of the night prior). I said I suppose the icing on the cake is a pic with him. I added since that was near impossible considering his popularity, I’d settle for a distant viewing of him at a public appearance of his choosing (trying to respect the man, trying to respect the man). We get to the show and we’re at the end of the line but its ok. No pressure tonight. Go inside and grab a good spot at the front and hear the opening act. He was great! Kevin Earnest. Well Mr. Earnest played his set with a violinist and a cellist. Suuuper sexy. At least to me. I’m a sucker for strings. Keys and strings. He mentions he’s selling cds after his show and I know I gotta get it if he’s got the strings going on. After the show he doesn’t seem too sure where he’s selling stuff (???) so I take it upon myself to go towards the entrance in the
back and ask the merchandise ladies what’s up. I tell my friend to hold down the fort, I’m gonna go get a cd. And here we go….

I walk to the back and the ladies don’t know what’s up with the guys cd but I see Marcus has his live disc for sale (awesome cd btw). I go to buy it when the world shifts to slow-mo and the door right by me busts open. I turn to see what startled me and see random flashes outside. Who was it that came in like a living god? Rob. Robert. Robert Pattinson. He looked dead at me (there was no where else TO look, that’s how small this area was). What did I do? Looked away immediately and made an audible gasp (reference the first story to understand why I’m a moron). I shoved myself away from the merchandise desk as if I was struck and backed up against the wall. Whether I was trying to give space for the gorgeous living god before me or melt into the wall to disappear, I don’t know. Here’s what I was saying in my head: Breathe. You can’t stop breathing. Why are you alone?!? Where is your best friend?!? Where are your legs?!? Keep breathing.

I had no plan WHATSOEVER to take a pic. I couldn’t move let alone grab my camera out of my pocket but I’ll forever be indebted to this bold, slightly obnoxious, woman. I hear someone say quite casually, “Oh my god, can I have a picture?” She then gave Marcus her camera (where did HE come from?!?!) and Rob laughs (LAUGHS!!!) and says something like: he’s gotta be in it too, he’s Marcus. This didn’t faze the woman. She had Marcus take her shot then gave Rob her camera to take a pic of Marcus and her. This all happened in front of my petrified eyes but something was simmering. Her boldness was sprinkling out onto me. I had tried to tell them all I could take the pic but it came out barely in a whisper and no one heard. I don’t know if I actually even said it out loud now. But I had to do something else to inject myself into the situation or I would never forgive myself. I got my opening.

After her camera show, I increased my vocal volume and asked Rob if I too could have a picture...please. He said sure. But then! There was commotion over back by the merchandise ladies. Rob’s posse of Brits were saying something which made Marcus ask something which made Rob turn away (ACK!!!) to see what was up (it wasn’t anything and I really didn’t care if it was something). I asked bold girl if she’d take a pic for me and she said of course (that is if he remembered me…ha!). But he did. He turned back around (we’re still operating in slow-mo here) and I put my arm around his waist (help) and he put his arm across my back or shoulder or waist (damn that part is foggy) and I smiled for the camera. He’s very serious in the pic and looks tired (although surprisingly younger in person) and I felt a little bad. As he walked away and I struggled to collect myself, I let the first thing that came to mind tumble from my mouth.
“Congratulations on all your success.” His back had been turned to me at that point as he was leaving the small foyer but he turned around and flashed me thee smile. The genuine, classic, Rob smile and said, “Thank you so much.” And then he was gone and I floated far far away. I didn’t get the smile shot he threw at me but it’s ok. Feels more intimate that way ;-) It’s imprinted in my memory only. I saw him from a distance sporadically through the night (I think the woman’s bold dust sprinkled on him too) as he moved about but I already had my moment. All that’s left to say is veni vidi vici.

Showing some love to Sam Bradley, Bobby Long, and Marcus Foster

Blast Magazine has a lengthy article about "Never Think" co-writer Sam Bradley and "Let me Sign" co-writers Bobby Long, Marcus Foster. They talk about how Twilight and being friends with Rob changed their lives and of course how crazy Twilight fans can be. That's all right boys! We are proud of our craziness :))

I am posting Rob related are parts and you can read the whole thing HERE.

Eager to get closer to anything Rob, Twilighters have shifted their die-hard gaze towards these three and have accidently stumbled into some really genuinely good music.

skipped
What makes Twilight so different from most teen phenomenons, and what I believe gives these boys so much hope, is the huge presence of twenty-something, even thirty-something fans that might have already grown up on this type of music. Either way, needless to say, the guys don’t mind the sudden influx of new fans.

“It’s put me on the map that’s for sure,” Long said. “I used to play 5 gigs a week for like 2 people because I always thought it was important to get an education in music and play for like nobody and learn how to play. Now all of a sudden. . .”. Now all of a sudden he has gone from around 50 plays a day on Myspace to around 700, and has girls screaming at his gigs in London - one girl even ran up to kiss him before being asked to leave. Unphased by his new audience, Long described the change: “Well, it’s nice. It’s really nice playing to people but it can be a bit uncomfortable. . . it’s not at the stage like Rob has it, though.”

At this point, it’s a good thing they’ve all witnessed Robert’s rocket to fame and how wild fans can be. “They’re insane,” Long laughed, describing Twilight fans, “but they’re funny and I think they’re aware they’re like that, so they have a sense of humor. But they’re all nice people”. Marcus recognizes how many of his new fans are Twiligthers as well; something hard to hide when they have profile pictures of Rob. “It’s crazy. I get lots of messages every day, it’s quite funny.”

Joking about the vivacity of the Twilight fans, and claiming he would never have too many fans, Sam stated, “if I was to be chased down by fans, that would be a good thing. It would be fun - I reckon I can run faster than them”. The three musicians even have a livejournal community dedicated to them - “land of dreamers”.

Just a year ago, none of them (not even Rob) could have expected they’d be talking about being overwhelmed by fans. Sam, Marcus, and Rob all went to school together in London and met Bobby by playing different venues when he came to London to study and do his music as well. “He was one of the guys playing at an open mic,” Sam said about meeting Bobby, “we looked at each other from across the room, our eyes met . . . and the rest is history”.

skipped

Although they have talked about recording “Let Me Sign” themselves, Bobby and Marcus aren’t exactly how to work it out. “We don’t know whose album we’d put it on. Like, we kind of wrote songs together last year and that was one that we kind of gave to Rob. We preferred the other ones actually . . . maybe Rob can keep that one,” Marcus laughed.

skipped

Whether there is more Twilight action to be expected or not, Sam Bradley, Bobby Long, and Marcus Foster are at the dawn of their careers. All three were very adamant about how much they appreciate the support and love they receive from their fans, so if you want to help along the chance that they might be able to tour in your city this summer, the best way to help that along would be to show your support at Bobby’s gigs in New York and Los Angeles this Easter.

Bobby Long's Manager on How Bobby Met Robbie ;)

The Twilight Examiner Amanda Bell had a chance to interview Phil Taylor, Bobby Long's manager. Here are the parts he talks about Rob and you can read the whole thing HERE. If you haven't ordered Bobby's single Left To Lie on itunes, you should. It is beautiful...

Phil Taylor, manager for such talents as Bobby Long (whose song “Left to Lie” has climbed the iTunes chart and who has been featured on the hit soundtrack for Twilight with the song he co-authored with friend Marcus Foster, sung by Robert Pattinson, “Let Me Sign” (Twilight's "Never Think" was co-authored by Sam Bradley and Rob Pattinson)) and FLIPRON got his start in music management when he took the advice of song-writer Tim Rose to “[j]ust get on with it kid, find someone who can write song and sign them.” And so it was.

Taylor set up his production company Up All Night Music back in 1998, seeing the likes of Robert Pattinson and Marcus Foster come across his stage, in London. His company got on its feet during “that awful dance music” time when “no actual musicians could get a gig.” Taylor’s solution? “I bought a little PA system and started booking acts myself.” Soon, “I had 6 nights each week and an office in Denmark St. I thought I had finally arrived, [but] I was 23!”

skipped

Speaking of Bobby Long, I asked Phil what he thought it was that drew him to Bobby back in 2006. He said that Up All Night Open Mic has “[f]or years . . . been the place people have gravitated towards once they want to play live. It is connected to my production company Up All Night Music, so people know that if I like them at the open mic, they will get offered other London gigs and maybe a festival stage or two. One night, Bobby showed up wanting to play, and he seemed a very genuine, humble, and calm person, so I got him on the list. (You have to know there are often forty-five people who want to play, so obviously not everyone is going to get on. I have gotten very good at spotting talent by talking to people.) As he played the two songs (“A Passing Tale” and “This Strange Love) that people get to play, I was immediately struck by just how good his whole performance was.” Says Taylor of Bobby’s performance, it was “[n]ot just his lyrics, or his delivery, or [even] his phrasing and general charisma, but all these elements had been put together in a well thought-out and rounded package, bursting with fresh energy.”

Continues Taylor, “[a]fter only a few moments, the whole room was silent, listening to this great music. Once [Bobby] had come off-stage, I had to chat with him and found out it was his first day or week in London and that he did not know anyone at all in the city. I walked round this room full of talented musicians with him, introducing him to the stars of the scene that we had created. It was then that I introduced him to Marcus and Rob amongst several others.”

About Robert Pattinson, Phil Taylor says, “I had no idea that Robert was an actor. I’ve still not seen any of his films. I just knew that he is a great musician and a very good singer/song-writer. I had probably known Marcus and Rob for about a year or so when I introduced them to Bobby.”

I asked Phil Taylor what he thought it was about Marcus Foster, Robert Pattinson, Sam Bradley and Bobby Long that have made them so well-balanced and cooperative on co-authoring pieces such as “Let Me Sign” and “Never Think” (both of which are featured on the Twilight album). He said, “I think that Rob and Marcus had known each other a long time and enjoyed playing music together, and, as I say, they are both very good at it. Then they met Bobby and recognized that he is also a great musician and that he comes from a very similar musical background to them. Once introduced, they were bound to become friends. That’s why I introduced them, I mean, that’s how you create a scene. [Also,] [p]eople need to remember that those songs were not written for the film, or any film, [but] were written by a group of friends who write songs together and play them live at an open mic night each week. There was never a plan. They just love writing songs and playing them together.” Says Tom McQ, “That was a great time at Up All Night, Phil had the cream of the acoustic scene all hanging out and being introduced to each other, writing songs together, a very creative and special time.”

skipped

About Robert Pattinson, Taylor says “he has not had sudden fame at all. He has worked hard at being a good actor for a long time, and it’s paid off. The last time Bobby Long and I saw him a few weeks ago in London, Rob was exactly the same as he was the night I introduced him to Bobby.” As for the vicious and constant rumors circulating Rob, says Taylor, “that’s just the price of fame. I think they used to spread a few rumors about Marilyn Monroe or Sinatra, or the Beatles. That’s just part of the game we get used to. There is never any truth in any of them.”

As for a possibility of coordinated touring dates between Bobby Long and Marcus Foster, Taylor says “I am booking a tour for Bobby and another one for Marcus this summer in the U.S.A. They will play a few select shows together, but generally they will be playing different towns on different nights.”

Clearly, Phil Taylor is quite a professional. Arming himself with strong team members, having a superb ear for a genuine and time-tested sound, and an organized approach to management, Taylor's representation is sure to propel his clients to the top.

Marcus Foster Talks About Robert Pattinson Singing His Song "I Was Broken"

Photobucket

In this soundbite Robert Pattinson's good friend Marcus Foster talks about how Rob singing his song "I was Broken" ended up all over the internet.

I think we all know at this stage what Rob's version sounds like (if you don't SHAME on you ;-p)
If you want to hear Marcus' version (which I also love) listen to it HERE

Marcus also mentions Jeff Buckley and the film (which obviously we now know that Rob is not doing)

Retractions, Tweets, Friends and Sad Times

Thank you for all your prayers and good wishes. I appreciate them more than you can imagine. But I had to come and post these first two bullets. The rest? Here.

Retraction: Yesterday I called the Radar Online report load of crap based on the time frame they were reporting (they said Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were at the hotel from 8:45 till the morning and never left when we knew they were at a concert). Well turns out Kristen and Rob (and other people :)) WERE at the Chateau Marmont on Thursday night. So part of their story was true and I'd like to retract what I posted yesterday.

Friends and Sad Times: I'm not sorry about calling it as I saw it considering the facts at the time. I was disappointed in the way the story got published ending with the sentence that seemed like it was confirmed they went to the Marmont after the concert. What I AM sorry about is how it turned out and the fact that it might have cost me friends.I value both Unintended Choice and The Moon is Down's ( Letters To Twilight) friendship very much. I know Moon reported it like she saw it, I never question their integrity or their intentions. I really don't know what else to say, this is just very heavy in my heart and I had to clear it up.

*Old picture but the pout and the sadness are real :) Plus I look like crap so that should count too no?

All right onto the "news":

Tweets: Our friend RobPattzNews tweeted about the sighting of Rob and Kristen last night. Here are her tweets. I'd like to say Marcus Foster's music is indeed great, check him out at http://www.myspace.com/marcusfoster and if you get a chance catch one of his shows. Same goes for Sam Bradley who is a brilliant musician and I heard nothing but great things from everyone that met him.

RobPattzNews: Rob and Kristen just left Hotel Cafe in LA where they showed up to watch Rob's friend Marcus Foster perform.

RobPattzNews: Came in same way as last nite for Bobby's show. Door by stage. Rob wearing same plaid blue shirt & NY Yankees cap from earlier.

RobPattzNews: Kristen wearing grey t-shirt, jeans. Rob's Agent and Manager also there. All behind curtain behind stage.

RobPattzNews: Rob and Kristen sitting on stools next to each other. If fans were aware (they were) didn't show it. No paps inside.

RobPattzNews: When Marcus finished set, Rob & Kristen left separately. He was picked up by his agent. Marcus outside taking pics. Love him!

RobPattzNews: Not sure on pics.. will post them if we get them. Good for Rob and Kristen that they got to hang w/Marcus. He's pretty amazing.

From RobPattinsonWorld, Kate didn't post these two pictures so I will.

I spy Rob's manager Nick Frenkel in the car:

And the money shot :))

Doreen noticed the valet person on a walkie-talkie talking to someone at the same time an Audi was pulling up in front of Hotel Cafe. The guy on the walkie-talkie whistled for the Audi to stop. It was stopped facing south towards Sunset Blvd. The door to Hotel Cafe was on my left, I was facing north on Cahuenga and the Audi was on my right. They had to walk past me to get to the car. The next thing you know, the door opens and Stewart runs out, not knowing which way to go (And let me tell you, girl knows how to dodge the cameras). I can’t pay attention to her because within a few moments, Rob comes out and my first instinct is to ask Rob for a picture. In my head I thought it would come out like, “OMG, OMG, can I get your picture?” but all I could say was, “Rob?” and I held up my camera. He apologetically said, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry.” and was rushed to the car by a handler. He was very polite and even more gorgeous in person!!!

How could I badger him after that? I stood where I was and shot away. All-in-all, it was a fast,

You can read the beginning of the story over there RobPattinsonWorld.

From the comments below, Lynne shares her encounter for the killer smile pic:

That's me in the second pic, I just got DAZZLED!!! OMG I chatted with Rob for quite a while, he gave us an autograph and we stood directly behind him like (1 foot away) for most of the evening. He was with TomStu and Marcus Foster, no Kristen. Told him it was lovely to see him back in the UK and asked him about Bel Ami and lots of other stuff. Picked up something that fell out of his pocket and gave it to him. What a night!!!

Robert Pattinson Attends A Marcus Foster Gig (2nd June)

Robert Pattinson Attends A Marcus Foster Gig (2nd June)

There's no mistaking Rob in this pic from Marcus's gig at Bushstock in London on 2nd June.
It makes me laugh that Rob wonders how he's so recognisable. That jaw, hairline & even his ear are SO obvious (Ok that's borderline creepy, but you know what I mean, right? ;-})

I love seeing how supportive Rob is of his friends. Hope he had a great time!

08/08/2009 They were spotted having lunch
08/08/2009 Rob was spotted at Marcus' gig AGAIN at the Hotel Cafe

I just don't know what to think anymore...

Is he cheating on TomStu? Do we have a Robcus now? Or Marbert?
And do the 2 names make the WORST combination nickname? YES.

No Kristen this time. At one point crowd was excited because a crazy rumor started that Rob would sing, of course he didn't. Bummer :)

The Brit Pack: The Leader, The Wanderer, The Muso, The Geezer and The Shy Boy

I want to know exactly how OLD that Stoli t-shirt is :)

This is funny :))

From Ahlan Live:

There’s a hot new gang in celebville. They’re super-cute and talented, they’re all besties and a certain Mr Pattinson is their leader...

The wanderer
Sam Bradley
Age: 22
Brit Pack Connection: Sam met Rob when they were 12 and the pair co-wrote Never Think (Too Far Gone) for the Twilight Soundtrack, which the actor then recorded.
Sam On Rob: “There’s no formula for [fame]. But he’s taking it in stride. This is his job now.”

The muso
Bobby Long
Age: 22
Brit Pack Connection: Bobby co-wrote Let Me Sign with Marcus, simply saying of the track, “[We] wrote it, and [Rob] took it away and recorded it.”
What’s Next? The boys are hoping to get some songs on the New Moon soundtrack too.

The geezer
Marcus Foster
Age: 23
Brit Pack Connection: Marcus co-wrote Let Me Sign with Bobby Long, which was sung by Rob for the Twilight Soundtrack. And he’s old pals with Sam and RPatz – “I went to school with Rob and Sam, and I’ve known Bobby for a few years now,” he says. “They’re my boys!”
Watch out! Sienna’s About: Sisi recently caught Marcus’s London gig – “[They] were snuggling up to each other,” said a spy.

The shy boy

Tom Sturridge
Age: 23
Brit Pack Connection: Tom’s siblings went to posh Brit school, Harrodian with Rob – and that’s how he and Tom met. Until recently they lived together in a “cool little ex-crack den” in London. “We spent the better part of a year just getting drunk every night,” admits Rob. “I don’t know if that counts as ‘struggling.’”
Yes, he’s single! “I can’t talk to girls,” says Tom. “I never know what to say!”

People talking about Robert Pattinson

Another day, another group of people mentioning Robert Pattinson.

Photobucket

Here's we go...

Anna Kendrick

While promoting her next movie, 50/50, Anna mentioned the fame around Rob & Kristen. She doesn't say Rob's name specifically but it's making rounds. Not sure of the context though. Look:

After being swept up during the awards season for her Oscar-nominated role in 2009′s Up in the Air, Anna Kendrick knows how to summon the Hollywood starlet within. And so she did on the red carpet for Monday night’s New York premiere of 50/50 (opening nationwide tomorrow). But Kendrick tells EW she’s glad she doesn’t have to deal with flashing lights and screaming fans on a daily basis. If only her Twilight co-stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were so lucky. “I feel really, really, genuinely fortunate not to have to deal with that right now,” she admits. “It’s like a prison. It’s a really nice prison, but so what? You still can’t leave your home. I feel happy that that’s not my reality right now.”
Read the rest of her interview at the source below.

So you can either shrug it off because it's a print interview and lord knows the context or you can sob in your pillow because Rob's fame has him locked up, gazing at freedom longingly from his slit of a window. Your call.

In case your call was to sob in the pillow, this will cheer you up. Josh Horowitz and Anna talk Rob and Twilight in an awkward exchange. ;)

Taylor Lautner

While out promoting Abduction, Taylor struggled to identify the baby picture of his bff, Rob. At 8:26:

Tsk tsk Tay-tay. I expect more from you after

Peter Facinelli

Talking to SceneLouisiana, Peter talked about Carlisle and playing a father to Rob:
MH: You’re so young and Carlisle’s very old, this patriarch with gravitas. Was playing an older, wiser character a challenge for you?

PF: Well, when I first read the roll, I was like how am I gonna make this guy who’s like 350 years old but at the same time in appearance, he’s twenty-three. In the books, he’s twenty-three so he has a young appearance with an old soul. Because I’m young, I thought, “How am I gonna be the leader of this family looking so young?” I don’t know how I’m gonna be Rob Pattinson’s dad, you know? When we hang out, I can be his older brother but physically it was a challenge to say, ‘I have to be the father figure.’ So what I did to create the character was, I looked at Carlisle and I did a little bit of history on the last 350 years of his life and what was going on in those times. I kind of gave myself a little history lesson and mapped out his character and his journey through those 350 years and then I felt like, ‘Okay, I’m bringing that knowledge to the screen whether it appears or not, I have that knowledge inside. Then, just making sure he has the leadership qualities and his speech patterns are a little slower and he’s a little more still than a character like Coop, who runs around like he just drank four cans of Red Bull.

Peter also spoke to Popsugar about Breaking Dawn and the "Cullen Party"

Marcus Foster

While promoting his new album, Nameless Path, out in the UK, Marcus was asked about Rob in a new interview:
It appears one Robert Pattinson is a friend and it transpires Marcus was at school with the Twilight star.

“Yes I was. We’re good friends, and have been for a long time,” he says. “It’s mad what’s happened to him. I’ve met Kristen Stewart through him, who stars in my latest video (I Was Broken). I asked, and she said she’d do it.”

Twitter mentions

We made a guess that Rob was in Toronto to do some ADR for Cosmopolis. Mr. Will also tweeted ADR seemed to be the deal:

My trusty RPatz Enthusiasts are saying he's back to do Automated Dialogue Replacement in-studio, aka "over-dubbing".

Then, earlier today, a sound designer and recording engineer in Toronto tweeted:

maybe if i was a 12year old girl then id care that Robert Pattinson is at my work right meow...

Photobucket

Maybe if you were a professional, grown man, you wouldn't have tweeted in the first place.

That bitchback was just for you, 12 year old ROBsessors.

Whatever Rob's business was in TO, as quickly as he arrived...video now in HQ

Rob has left the building (tweets this evening)...

Mr. Will: Robert Pattinson has flown out of Toronto! Wow, that was quick.

Sean: Just photographed Robert Pattinson for the third time,in Toronto. For all details about his Toronto trip watch eTalk tomorrow night 7pm CTV.

We can't have a post about tweets without giving some love to Jack! He's still diving into fandom insatiability, answering what he can about Breaking Dawn. We wrap up this round up with a few goodies. If you're trying to stay spoiler free, you can consider the post wrapped after the sexytime, beach pic.

  • The chess scenes we've seen in stills made it into the film. Chess just got sexier!
  • Lots and lots of E & B kisses
  • More laughs (in a good way) in this film than the previous 3
  • Edward will toast Bella and/or say sweetness at the wedding. A fan pointed out Bill said this at Comic Con or in EW but I don't recall Bill saying this. Jack said yes to the toast but whatever the case may be, we can imagine Edward will say much sweetness throughout the whole film. :)

Bobby Long Mentions Robert Pattinson In An Interview With Limelife

The singer/songwriter talks sudden stardom, American girls and the dangers of being friends with Robert Pattinson.

Did you think Robert Pattinson was the only cute Brit who shies away from interviews? Last week in New York we caught up with singer/songwriter Bobby Long, a Twilight soundtrack crooner, longtime friend of Robert Pattinson and member of the ever-higher-profile "Brit Pack" that also includes actors/musicians/longtime Pattinson mates Tom Sturridge, Sam Bradley and Marcus Foster. Bobby Long is preparing to release his first studio album this summer, and if it's anything like he says it is, then you want to start downloading Bobby Long now.

Bobby Long's "Let Me Sign" for Twilight and "Who Have You Been Loving?" from his first album Dirty Pond Songs have put him on the map in mainstream music and in front of, yep, gaggles of female audiences who are screaming to ride the British boy bandwagon. In the basement of New York's famed Mercury Lounge, we thought Bobby Long couldn't get any more candid...until he climbed onstage.

LimeLife: I know you're good friends with Robert Pattinson, and two weeks ago he was jokingly shouting your name for Marcus Foster to play some Bobby Long.

Bobby Long: The funniest thing about that right, is just that...it's just a few mates joking around. All that was is just Rob enjoying himself at his mate's show, right. Like, before my show, a mutual friend will shout out, "Play a Marcus Foster song" or "Play a Sam Bradley song" or something...like, "Play a song by Cher."

(More laughter erupts around the Mercury Lounge basement.)

Bobby Long: It's just winding each other up. It's just a friendly thing. And then Rob's getting criticized for it.

LimeLife: I don't think it was criticism. It was just a fun story when we reported on it.

Bobby Long: But the comments on it! He hasn't been criticized by the media, but criticized by people. I read [one comment], it said, "He's a bastard." It's just like, "Oh, f*ck off." That kind of stuff is funny. I just laugh. It's something to show your nan, that's all it is, then you get back to your day job. It's just funny that someone reports that and sends it off, that someone spent 15 minutes of their life reporting it.

These are only the parts where he talks about Rob. You can read the full interview here and here

Sam Claflin Talks About His Robert Pattinson Connections

Sam Claflin spoke to Popsugarand mentioned about his Robert Pattinson connections

Sam Claflin is one of Kristen Stewart's two leading men in the upcoming Snow White and the Huntsman, which hits theaters June 1. We stopped by the London set of SWATH in October to sit down with the cast and crew and learn a little bit more about the highly anticipated dark retelling of a classic fairy tale. Sam, who plays Prince William in the film, is relatively new to the big screen after making his debut in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides last year. While on the SWATH set, Sam shared this cute story about having the same taste in music as Kristen and a connection they made through a favorite singer:

"There is a guy called Marcus Foster. Basically a guy played at my birthday, this sort of big musician who I love, and I went to go and see him at another gig, and supporting him was Marcus Foster. So, I went backstage and to meet Marcus, and he was telling me about this music video that he's about to do that Kristen [Stewart] has just starred in. Then when I saw Kristen next, I said, 'I can't believe you did that. You know him and he knows you, and he knows Rob [Pattinson].' So, again, it's all this small world. So namely him, but I think -- I have a feeling our sort of music tastes are very much in tune."

Official "Let Me Sign" Lyrics

Bobby Long and Marcus Foster who cowrote (let me sign) have posted the lyrics to the song. Now we finally know what Rob is mumbling about.

"She was standing there by the broken treeHer hands were all twisted she was pointing at meI was damned by the light coming out of her eyesShe spoke with a voice that disrupted the skyShe said ‘ Come on over to the bitter shade,I will wrap you in my arms and you’ll know you’ve been saved’Let me sign, let me sign, can’t fight the devil so just let me sign.

I was out for a drink in a soho barThe air was smoked out liked a cheap cigarShe rose out of her seat like a painted ghostShe was the woman that I wanted the mostAs she reached for my arm I gave her my handI said ‘Lay me down easy let me understand’Let me sign, let sign, can’t fight the devil so just let me sign.

As I walked through the door she was still in my headAs I entered the room she was laid there in bedShe reached out for me all twisted in blackI was on my way down, never coming backlet me sign, let me sign, can’t fight the devil so just let me sign.let me sign, let me sign, can’t fight the devil so just let me sign"

Revisiting Robert Pattinson's musical talents

Last Monday was EPIC. I've had Rob singing (and growling) in my head since then.

Let's relive it...

Does it break your heart like mine that Rob states 3 TIMES that he wanted to play another song at the end? Why do the event organizers hate us and Rob? ;) *sigh* Hopefully, they can convince him to play at another show of theirs and this time let baby have a set!

Now, I'm assuming this isn't new to most of you but we get new ROBsessors everyday and I wanted to make a music post. Rob's musical talents come from the heart and rip you raw. Sit back and let him speak to your soul.

I'll Be Your Lover Too (by Van Morrison)

To Roam (by Robert Pattinson)

In Your Head (by Marcus Foster)

I Don't Mind (by Marcus Foster)

Doin Fine from How To Be soundtrack

I know he was purposely singing below his ability in this song but its so fun to me and a great moment for Art ;)

Where it all started...

We all love Rob and his guitar but oh how we love his piano playing too.

How amazing is it that we'll have him tickling the ivories again in Breaking Dawn? Sad we have to wait until the end of 2012 to hear it though. :( Maybe he'll surprise us by being on the BD1 soundtrack. I'm just putting that out there.

Now if only we could get him to let us sample his cello or electric guitar or viola caipira playing...

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart out and about in Los Angeles

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart out and about in Los Angeles

Rob and Kristen were spotted at Soho House last night (amyebowers):

Photobucket

The Soho sighting is not far fetched since there were multiple sightings earlier of Rob and Kristen at the Marcus Foster show in Hollywood. I had the pleasure of attending the show. Marcus has had two shows in LA after a loooooong hiatus (last show was Dec. 2009). He's a favorite of mine so it was great to finally have him back. Rob and Kristen attended the show and this encounter is a compilation from the people I was with.

At the end of the show, myself and my 3 friends were heading out of the main room. I was cut off from my group by a pushy, wretched, beast woman who I curse with every cell in my body. Not really. Kinda just a little. At the time, I was gracious and let her shove past me and move behind my friends.

The passageway was slightly congested and when I got out of the area, my friends were clustered by a table and oddly projecting a glow. They assumed I too should be glowing and wondered why I wasn't. They told me Rob and Kristen had been in the passageway during the show and they walked out at the same time as them. Kristen was in front of Rob against a wall and Sam Bradley and another friend of theirs were sort of human blocking them.

As my friends were moving towards the next room, Rob took Kristen's hand and turned to walk that way too since people were beginning to file out. The timing had them walking alongside my friends to exit the passageway. I was oblivious, walking behind wretched beast woman who is forever cursed. My glowing friends said that Rob wasn't hunching into himself. He was at his full height. Full glorious height. My friend closest to him heard him do some kind of scat thing. A humming little diddy. We were analyzing the differences between a scat and diddy later. It was a "doooo deeee doooo daaaaaa" she heard. But sexier because of the source.

Is your brain bleeding yet? Anywho. So Kristen was now behind Rob as he led them out the door that went into the other room, sneaked around a pulled curtain beside the door and disappeared into a private room. He was scruff/bearded but not MountainManRob. It's a dark venue but my friends said he was wearing the grey and black checkered jacket we all know with a white shirt underneath and a black beanie. I was wearing a scowl. ;)

There were no paparazzi and nobody disturbed them. This kind of encounter stuff without pics is normally "yeah yeah sure sure" for me but it was seen by my people. If you have ever met me, you likely met them too. I trust them completely. Their eyes might as well be my eyes which is why I'm sharing the encounter. I'm happy Marcus had his friends there to support him. He put on an energetic show and the night was chill with a good crowd (excluding the beast) and great music (including Rob's scatdiddy).

Robert Pattinson Likes to "Borrow" Friends' Clothes

On the left Marcus Foster at Troubador near Earls Court, London back in May 2009 on the right Robert Pattinson at 2009 Teen Choice Awards in August 2009 fresh off his week with Marcus.

The color seems different but it's because of the lighting, check out the buttons :)

Please tell me this is the new "Green Plaid Shirt" 'cause I so miss the green plaid shirt :)

P.S.: When I was searching for my Bromance posts I realized Kate already posted about Rob wearing Marcus' shirt HERE so I am presenting this as a second proof :)

Flashback: Addicted and devoted to Robert Pattinson and his music

We've been talking about MusicalRob on the blog recently from his jam session with Dermot to SaxophonistRob. In the comments, I catch when people say, "oh I've never seen this, never heard this, never known this!" and I saw that in those posts. We know Rob keeps his musical side pretty protected. The last recording we were privy to was made over two years ago and shared publicly well over a year after that (It's All On You). If you're new to Robsession, you might not know all that is out there with Rob's musical stamp on it.

Since MusicalRob is so beloved, doesn't take much for us to do a post like this :) Let's review all the gems we have from one talented man.

4 years ago, music Rob had self recorded leaked out and gave fans an awesome sampling of his soulful, raw vocal quality. Stray Dog and I'll Be Your Lover Too are my favorites from that series.

Stray Dog

I'll Be Your Lover Too

To Roam

To Roam video with lyrics

Rob also used to frequent open mics and there are a couple videos that captured either his performance of the vocals. The first song that reached my heart and clenched it was I Was Broken. LAWD the emotion in his voice. I heard it first in May 2009, when I became Robsessed. Rob's talent was everywhere in my searches for who this guy playing Edward Cullen was.

I Was Broken - written by Rob's friend Marcus Foster

This is the full version, vocal recording only, also worth a listen. Love the tone he starts the song with.

I adore this live version of Stray Dog. It also kills me because had I been Robsessed during the fall of 08 and not spring of 09, I might have caught this performance in LA.

Stray Dog

These recordings are two more Marcus Foster songs performed live by Rob. Not the best recording but you can hear Rob setting up his songs and singing to his heart's content.

In Your Head

I Don't Mind

More MusicalRob and official recordings after the cut!
