Thing that make you go hmmmmmm: Robert Pattinson rumored to be circlinga new film - Posh

Thing that make you go hmmmmmm: Robert Pattinson rumored to be circling a new film - Posh

UDPATE3: From The Playlist:
There's no news on which character Irons will be playing in the ensemble, and we're not going to speculate. Other reports have linked a number of other erudite Brits to roles including Douglas Booth, Sam Clafin and Robert Pattinson, although the suggestion is that Pattinson in particular is being pursued but may not be interested.

UPDATE2: From The Hollywood Reporter:
Robert Pattinson — who is said to be in very early discussions. According to THR's source, "I think he's being circled more than he's circling."

UPDATE: The Film Stage and Collider have also joined the salt party, reporting on the film news:
  • Collider: An abundance of handsomeness could be in store for director Lone Scherfig’s (An Education) adaptation of Laura Wade‘s stage play Posh. The Daily Mail reports that Robert Pattinson, Sam Claflin (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire), Douglas Booth (Noah), and Max Irons (The Host) are all in various stages of negotiations to star in the film....No one has officially signed on yet, and Pattinson is expected to mull over the script once he wraps The Rover. As one can imagine, matching up the schedules of four up-and-comers is a bit of a logistical nightmare, so don’t set this cast lineup in stone just yet.
  • The Film Stage: In the sort of movement which feels like many a Tiger Beat reader’s fantasy pitch to some movie studio, The Daily Mail have been handed word that (brace yourselves) Robert Pattinson, Sam Claflin, Douglas Booth (Noah, Jupiter Ascending), and Max Irons (The Host) are circling the same project. One that they’d be in. Together....Schedules are the cause, unsurprisingly, with Pattinson (who’s only started to look this over), for example, having new movies from David Cronenberg and James Marsh eyeing production soon; Posh is expected to start up in May, so delays and / or tight maneuvering will be required. Even if they can’t land this whole contingent, a solid director and ripe story should do the creative trick.
Again.....we'll see. They're all sourcing The Daily Mail. On a fun note, be sure to check out The Film Stage post we linked. They're playing 365DoR today unbeknownst to them. ;)
Robert Pattinson is rumored to be circling another film project!
Photobucket
BUT....big but here...the story originated in the Daily Mail which meant....
Photobucket
This could be a name drop thing or it could be legit. The Playlist jumped in to talk about this, still sourcing Daily Mail, but I liked their breakdown. At least we have a little info on our radar. An excerpt including a little bit of background info on the project:
When it opened at the Royal Court Theatre in London in 2010, "Posh" helped to give a real boost to the careers of its young cast, with actors including Kit Harington ("Game Of Thrones"), Joshua McGuire ("The Hour"), Tom Mison (the upcoming "Sleepy Hollow" TV series) and David Dawson ("Luther") all having gone on to great things after the fact. "An Education" director Lone Scherfig signed on to a film adaptation recently, and it looks like we might be seeing a movie cast that's just as broad in talent, with a few rising names, and one massive one, apparently in various stages of talks to come on board.
PhotobucketAccording to the ever-on-the-money Baz Bamigboye, Max Irons, Sam Claflin and Douglas Booth are all in negotiations to star in the film, and while talks are at an earlier stage, "Twilight" megastar Robert Pattinson could potentially join them.
...
The play, and the film, revolves around a version of the Bullingdon Club, an Oxford University institution (not unlike a fraternity) which included current Prime Minister David Cameron and current Mayor of London Boris Johnson among its members, and which involves privileged idiots getting together, drinking themselves into oblivion and trashing restaurants. Wade's play focuses on the members of the Riot Club, whose meeting in a country pub ends in tragedy, and we can see all four of the actors fitting in nicely into that kind of environment.
It sounds like Pattinson's involvement is the least concrete; he's still filming David Michod's "The Rover," and he has David Cronenberg's "Maps To The Stars" and James Marsh's "Hold On To Me" nominally on his slate, though lord knows what state they're in in terms of financing. But a good piece of material, amid a strong ensemble, would be a smart move for the actor as he continues to try to escape the shadow of Edward Cullen. As Bamigboye suggests, the challenge here is going to be scheduling; the nature of the piece requires the cast to all be together round a dining table for much of the shoot, and all these guys are busy and in demand, so don't be surprise if there's mixing and matching with who sticks with the project. Filming is planned to get underway in May, so it shouldn't be too long before we find out who's able to fit it into their schedules, and "Posh" should eventually open in 2014
So take that salt and sprinkle it like rain. This isn't our first time at the film rumors rodeo *coughChild44TheProfessionalscough* We're just going to have to wait and seeeeeeeeeeeee.....just like most things with Rob *morecoughDiorcoughcough*.

Roundup of Robert Pattinson mentions by costars and more!

Roundup of Robert Pattinson mentions by costars and more!

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Rob's Cosmopolis co-star, Sarah Gadon, is on the cover of Real Style magazine for Spring 2013. She mentions Rob and the scrutiny that came with working opposite him plus compliments him working with Werner Herzog (Queen of the Desert). I excerpted the portion regarding Rob and transcribed. Visit HERE if you're interested in the photoshoot and full interview.
If Sarah's critically acclaimed role as the wife of Fassbender's Carl Jung got the industry's attention, her second Cronenberg role as Robert Pattinson's wife in Cosmopolis cemented her rising star status. Not only did a second collaboration with Cronenberg mean she'd join the ranks of the director's inner circle along with the likes of Mortensen, Jeremy Irons and Vincent Cassel, she became the focus of the Twihard sets' curiosity when she got close to Pattinson on-screen.

"I kept my distance, knowing that there might be a blacklash," says Sarah of working opposite Pattinson whose Twilight fan-base is comparable to Beatle-mania or Bieber Fever. "Caitlin, David's daughter, received more of a backlash because she was tweeting a lot of photographs from set, and people were speculating about their relationship and proximity. I think too that I kept such a distance that they thought, 'We're not going to find anything with this one! We'll pin it all on that one!' It's terrible that that happens too. It's terrible for him because I take my work so seriously, obviously, and so does he. It's not like you would ever compromise the integrity of your work by doing something...at least I never would. I'm boring that way."

...
Although cozying up to Fassbender, Pattinson and Gyllenhaal would definitely be a perk to most people, their hearthrob statuses seem irrelevant to Sarah. In fact, she seems more excited for her co-stars to join her in the art-house realm than anything else. When I suggest that Pattinson's work with Cronenberg has helped change the path of his career from teen heartthrob to bonafide actor, Sarah agrees. "Yes," she says with a smile. "Now he's going to go work with Werner Herzog."
More mentions under the cut!

Who's the next sex symbol? "No one can compete with Robert Pattinson. He's in a league of his own."

Who's the next sex symbol? "No one can compete with Robert Pattinson. He's in a league of his own."

Well....Eddie Redmayne is certainly on my good list when it comes to male actors that are not Rob. Here's what he said at the Evening Standard Film Awards last week in London.

Congrats to him on all his success with Les Misérables. I thought his solo with Empty Chairs At Empty Tables was amazing. My second favorite after the much acclaimed Hathaway solo.

Anywho...enough Les Misérables talk. Back to what Eddie was saying. NO ONE can compete with Rob's status as a sex symbol. Should we nominate Eddie for 2013 Best Non-fandom Supporter during the year-end ROBsessed Awards now or later? ;)

LA Times talks to Robert Pattinson at the Golden Globes: Find out his favorite movie of the year!

The LA Times got a chance to talk to Rob at the Golden Globes and find out quite a bit! From LA Times:
Photobucket
Robert Pattinson likes the Golden Globes and came to present voluntarily opposite Amanda Seyfried for adapted screenplay -- a rather surprising admittance from the press-shy Pattinson. The 26-year-old actor is thrilled to not have to talk about vampires ever again, though he said all his questions on the red carpet were bloodsucker-related. Pattinson is clearly here just to celebrate and is rooting for Joaquin Phoenix, though he's never met the actor. "The Master" was his favorite movie of the year. Eddie Redmayne, a fellow Brit, saunters over to the table. "We're at the same table," he sings to Pattinson, clearly excited to be seeing his old friend. Redmayne is also in a celebratory mood, thrilled he has nothing to do Monday and happy to hang with old friends. "Let's go find the bar, now," he says to Pattinson, and the two head for a quick drink before the festivities begin.

Love this! Great info from the Los Angeles Times. :)

The publisher shared some more info with us about Alice's Redhead series and her inspiration for a certain character. If you wished Rob became more than a cat named Clive in published work then you'll love this excerpt from the author, Alice Clayton :)
So we've been beating around the bush for two weeks now, and I think its time for me to officially and without question declare my love for everyone's favorite Brit. I love me some Rob. I love me some Rob with a love that is unholy and bordering on frightening. I would break that guy. But while he is most certainly handsome, and most certainly smack-you-in-the-head swoonworthy, what I adore most about Rob is his wit. His Brit wit. The guy is FUNNY. Someone please explain to me why he has not hosted SNL because he would kill it!! Was he the inspiration for Jack in my Redhead Series? Oh hell yes. And next week, everyone here is gonna get a sneak peek at Book 3 from The RedheadSeries, stay tuned! But for today, let us simply revel in the otherworldy beauty that is The Robert and The Pattinson. I would commit more than a few crimes to be able to have him over for tea. Ahem...
Sounds like one of you guys in the DR is Alice! I second that motion that Rob should host SNL or star in another comedy, STAT! Did that increase your interest in the runner-up prize or what?? :)

Hold On To Me director, James Marsh, compliments Robert Pattinson: I loved his attitude towards cinema

Hold On To Me director, James Marsh, compliments Robert Pattinson: I loved his attitude towards cinema

Photobucket
This is the google translation but you can still make out the compliment clearly (bolded in blue). Love what James Marsh had to say about Rob and the film. Excerpt from Cinema Teaser (France):
PhotobucketSo if Marsh has turned this mini-series even without official title next summer, which is HOLD ON TO ME, her project with Robert Pattinson and Carey Mulligan?
"This advance," reassures Marsh. "I think turning in early 2013 if funding is secured."
Often compared to ALL READY TO Gus Van Sant because of its pitch (a beauty queen kidnapped and buried alive a man for money), Marsh tells us that he finds suitable comparison, although: "BOOGIE NIGHTS will also be a model in terms of tone. This is one of my favorite movies, because it goes to the dark humor in a second. HOLD ON TO ME is a dark comedy. Documentaries had my humor - at least I hope - as my fictions were heavier. There will be more exuberant. "
An album that could change Marsh's career, due to the presence in the cast of Robert Pattinson: "Robert is interesting: he knows where he wants to go and he wants to work on projects that help to make as COSMOPOLIS . He uses his fame and power to help people like me to make interesting films. It has a lot of potential. When we met, I loved his attitude towards cinema. He loved the script and told me so very intelligent. It will be a great asset to HOLD ON TO ME and I hope with him to suddenly casting this rameutera full of teenage girls in the rooms to corrupt! (Laughter.)
Finally, Marsh has revealed the actor he wanted to complete the cast: "I would hire an actor in the series GIRLS, Adam Driver. It is a great actor, yet little known. This will form a great triangle with Robert and Carey. "A great actor indeed already seen in J. EDGAR, and soon to be in Steven Spielberg's LINCOLN, Inside Llewyn Davis of Coen, THE F WORD with Daniel Radcliffe or FRANCES HA Noah Baumbach.
On a side note, Marsh won his Oscar for the documentary, Man On Wire. It's available on instant play for Netflix and I encourage you to check it out if you're a subscriber. It's an amazing film. Captivating from start to finish. Let me know if you've seen it in the comments. I'll probably want to rave about it. :)

Robert Pattinson talks about Queen of the Desert and the role being expanded just for him

Robert Pattinson talks about Queen of the Desert and the role being expanded just for him

Thompson on Hollywood chatted with Rob about his next projects and Queen of the Desert was talked about. An excerpt:

Photobucket Rob Pattinson changed out of his green suit before coming to the party with wearing a more casual red sweater and baseball cap, saying he has three movies to shoot befiore he even gets to "Queen of the Desert," in which he plays T.E. Lawrence opposite Naomi Watts' Gertude Bell.

"I wanted to work with Werner Herzog," he told me. He has no idea if he'll go blond to play Lawrence fo Arabia. And the role is being expanded for him. First he has to get through David Michod's "The Rover."

This might be The Rover, Mission: Blacklist and Maps To The Stars before QotD. We'll see how all the productions pan out but how awesome that the role was expanded for Rob! The filmmakers know they got a great thing going for them. ;)

Thanks smurfy_tapz!

Tweets and tumbles about Robert Pattinson: The latest in little mentions and film news

Tweets and tumbles about Robert Pattinson: The latest in little mentions and film news

We have a mini smorgasbord of info for you guys. First up is a fun picture and tweet from Alicia Malone who got to interview Rob during the Breaking Dawn Part 2 press junket in Los Angeles:
Rob Pattinson took my fist bump explosion move to a whole other level... And I appreciated it.
Photobucket

Just when we think we can't love him any more, right???? Too too cute and adorkable.

Sticking with the press junket, you guys might recall this interview with Extra TV the other day when Rob was asked about chick flicks:
Photobucket Photobucket
gif: source

New York Times best-selling author of The Fault In Our Stars, John Green, reblogged the gif with this comment:
A++, would hire again for role of Person Who Can No Longer Bear the Vapidity That Surrounds Him.
LOL well Rob does get asked some mindless questions yet keeps his cool. Love how he's always kind, charming, witty, professional....I could keep going. ;)
A little trivia: The Fault In Our Stars film will be produced by Wyck Godfrey.

Moving into film news, this doesn't have anything to do with Rob directly but some of you asked about the role Jude Law will be playing in Queen of the Desert. The producer, Cassian Elwes, revealed the info on twitter to fansite, @QOTDfilm (this is a fellow fansite, not the one Kate and I work on):
'Henry' is Henry Cadogan. A British diplomat that Gertrude Bell fell in love with!
This film continues to intrigue. The Playlist fanboys said "damn, this cast is shaping up pretty nicely..." and Screen Crush is ready for the maddness Herzog brings - "Knowing Herzog, Bell is surely going to have a brush or two with madness."

A couple of Rob's other film projects got some quick buzz on Saturday from the American Film Market, still underway (ends Wednesday). Variety had a quick mention for The Rover and Hold On To Me. Excerpt:
Solid rather than spectacular -- that's the consensus so far among buyers and sellers at the halfway point of the 33rd edition of the American Film Market, with more than 2,000 projects for sale.
...
FilmNation topped Glen Basner said that the first half of AFM had been a scramble with "The Rover," "Nebraska," "Hold on to Me" and "Genius"
That sounds promising. Folks want to gobble up TR and HOTM :) We can't blame them. We want all these projects gobbled up and we pray daily that distribution is better than what we've experienced in the past with Rob's indies. Either way, we'll be there every step of the way supporting him. :)

Charming Robert Pattinson "could be one of the only true movie stars of our generation"

Charming Robert Pattinson "could be one of the only true movie stars of our generation"

Eonline had a nice write-up about the 5 Twilight Stars Most Likely To Succeed. After listing, Kristen Stewart, Anna Kendrick, Dakota Fanning and Ashley Greene, Rob was the only male on the list and they had awesome things to say about him:
The sole male who earned himself a superlative on this list, R.Pattz is going to be just fine, people. Heck, he very well could be one of the only true movie stars of our generation. Not only does he take smaller, more controversial roles to keep people interested, but he's just so dang charming that we can't imagine the public will ever get sick of him. Plus, now that he's landing big endorsement deals like Dior, we think it's only the beginning.
Couldn't agree more :)

We announced yesterday that word on the street was Robert Pattinson was going to be the new face for Dior mens fragrance. Now we've got even more great info!
Grazia has an update about DiorRob:
We've just heard from a reliable source that Robert is shooting the Dior campaign in London any day now (eyes peeled, ladies!). We also know it’s set to be a Moulin Rouge-style shoot in black and white. Appaz, Rob had no less than three offers on the table but chose Dior because it’s ‘classic and timeless’. Stay tuned as we bring you more details as they arrive...
GAH! Moulin-Rouge, black and white?? And no less than 3 offers on the table? We can believe that. Rob is a wanted man and rightly so.

Grazia said on their twitter that Rob is heading to London this week to shoot but I'm not sure how accurate that is with press junket activities happening for Rob at the end of the week then TV interviews next week. We'll see. Point is what he will be shooting. This is going to be goooooood ladies....

Mission: Blacklist director, Jean-Stéphane Sauvaire talks about Robert Pattinson and filming in Iraq

Mission: Blacklist director, Jean-Stéphane Sauvaire talks about Robert Pattinson and filming in Iraq

Jean-Stéphane Sauvaire was promoting his film, Punk, and spoke to Agentinnen.Net about the film as well as details on Mission: Blacklist and Rob. This is the first interview we're getting of the director speaking at length about Rob and filming in Iraq. It's pretty awesome what he has to say. I highlighted some of it:
  • "He has a good personality."
  • "That's why he's so famous...why you like him...he's so unique and I'm very interested in working with this guy."
  • "I saw Cosmopolis...I think he did a great performance. He was amazing in that film. Very different from his real life at the same time you believed this character, I mean he's amazing."
  • "My character in Mission: Blacklist is a tough character because it's not at all what we can imagine from Robert Pattinson or what we know with this guy. It's going to be very interesting. I'm sure it's going to be great because he's really intense."
  • "I know he's a great actor...I'm really excited to be working with him on this film."
  • "We're going to do the set in Iraq. We're going to work with Eric Maddox. It's going to be interesting."
  • He's going to work with professional Iraqi actors.
  • "To do a good movie, you need to take risks and try to find different ways to do films. Not doing it the same way as everyone is doing it. We have to try and change. Try to imagine some different stuff and different way of working with the actors and shooting the film."
  • "Going to Iraq for me is really important because it's going to be so different from shooting there as to shooting in LA in a studio, for example, even for the actors, being there and understanding how it was and meeting the Iraqis. You need to understand the structure and everything. It's part of the process."
  • At 24:00, he starts to talk again about his pre-production experience with Mission: Blacklist and the prep work - 5 weeks in Iraq, sleeping in Saddam Hussein's palace etc.
  • At 26:00 next project is Mission: Blacklist filming next year (we know it's scheduled for summer 2013)
The whole interview is lengthy but great insight into Sauvaire as a director. Rob's part starts just after 18:30 with the interviewer asking about working with Robert Pattinson and goes for almost 5 minutes.

David Cronenberg compliments Robert Pattinson and his new role in Werner Herzog's Queen of the Desert

David Cronenberg compliments Robert Pattinson and his new role in Werner Herzog's Queen of the Desert

Photobucket

This is awesome. I'll never tire of David's matter-of-fact interviews that talk about Rob's talent. This interview is another showcase of his support and a recent one because he address Rob's recent "get", Queen of the Desert.

From Rotten Tomatoes:

Congratulations on Cosmopolis, David. It is a wonderfully strange film, even by your standards -- and I mean that in the most complimentary way.

David Cronenberg: [Laughs] Thanks.

I'm sure you're quite weary of answering this question, but we do need to get it out of the way...

Cronenberg: Sure.

Robert Pattinson. There were plenty of people who were a little surprised when you picked him for the role, but I have to say he gives a really sublime performance. You knew what you were doing, clearly -- so what was it that drew you to Robert?

Cronenberg: Well, casting always starts in a very pragmatic way. It's, "Is this guy the right age for the character?" "Does he have the right sort of physique, the right screen presence?" "Is he available, and if so, can you afford him? Does he want to do it?" You know, all of those things. But then you do your homework as a director, more specifically, and you watch stuff. I watched Little Ashes, in which Rob plays a young Salvador Dali; I watched Remember Me; I watched the first Twilight movie. And I watched -- interestingly enough, I suppose, because people wouldn't expect it -- but you watch interviews with the guy on YouTube, you know. I want to get an idea of his sense of humor, his sense of himself, the way he handles himself, his intelligence -- all of those things you can't really tell from watching an actor play a role in a movie. I suppose in the old days you meet the guy and hang out, and go to a bar or whatever -- [laughs] -- but these days nobody has time for that, or the money, and so you do it some other way. And once I'd done all that stuff, I thought, This is the guy I want. I thought, He'd be terrific and I actually think he's a very underrated actor -- and it would be my pleasure to prove that by casting him.

I think a lot of people will share that opinion after seeing the film. Was he difficult to get? I mean, he's clearly up for it, based on his performance, but how do you go about getting Robert Pattinson?

Cronenberg: Basically, I wrote the script before I went into production on A Dangerous Method, so Rob got the script about a year before we were really shooting. He's a very down to earth guy, and he was surprised that anybody would want him. [Laughs] It sounds odd, I know. Of course, he knows that his name adds value because of his star power, but he knew my movies, and he knew I was a serious director, and I think he was nervous, you know -- I think he was afraid, because he knew it was good. He immediately loved the script, especially because he thought it was very funny -- and the movie is funny; a lot of people maybe don't see that the first time around -- and the script was funny as well. But also he had seen enough of the now conventional stuff that he gets offered to see how different this was, and how it stood out -- and the quality of Don's writing, because the dialogue is really 100 per cent from the novel.

So I really had to convince him that I knew he was the right guy and that he could do it. And you'd be very surprised that a lot of actors, and very experienced ones, too -- not just young ones -- they worry that they don't want to wreck your movie. They don't want to be the bad thing in your movie that brings it down. They need to be convinced that they're good enough, especially if they know it's good. He said -- and I know this 'cause of interviews that we've done together, and I hear him saying these things -- that usually the dialogue is so bad that you, the actor, figure that you are responsible for trying to make it interesting, just by the way you spin it. But in this case the dialogue was great, and it's a completely reversed worry: "Am I good enough to get the best out of this?" So it took me about 10 days, and Rob said he was afraid to call me back because he's used to bullshitting directors, like all actors do -- but because I'd written the script he couldn't do that with me. [Laughs] You know, actors can really tie themselves in knots, when really he just should've said, "Yes, I'll do it."

Was there a point during shooting where he realized, "Hey, I am good enough for this," or did you have to encourage him constantly?

Cronenberg: No, it's not like he's so insecure or anything like that. I never saw any of that on the set. I know he was constantly checking himself out and wondering if it was good, but I didn't feel that he needed an inordinate amount of that kind of encouragement, really. We just did it. He could tell. The best way for an actor to tell, ultimately, is that it wasn't long before we were just doing one or two takes of everything -- and that means the actor knows it's working.

Well it appears that you've started something of a trend now David, because Werner Herzog has just cast him in his next film.

Cronenberg: Well that pleases me no end, and I think that obviously this is what Rob needs. They just need to see that he's really, really good and really, really subtle; and that he can do a lot of different stuff. Once you break through that barrier then I think there'll be no turning back. (Tink: Oh man....happy tears, people, happy tears!)

...

He only seems to connect with people on a very primal, and often violent, level -- be it sex, murder... or getting a haircut. That seems to be the only way in which he can cut through all the other stuff. Is that him devolving, his desire for self-destruction?

Cronenberg: Yeah, well I think that during the course of this day... and he does say, at the end, to the Paul Giamatti character [Benno Levin], "I think my life has changed during the course of this day" -- and it really has. He's going to get a haircut, but he's really also going to get a haircut from the barber who first cut his hair when he was a little kid, and used to cut his father's hair, and I think the suggestion is that he is trying to deconstruct his present life so that he can go back to his origins and perhaps reassemble it in a different way. But that doesn't quite work. It doesn't quite gel. I think when he's sitting in the barber's chair, certainly at the beginning, he is like a child. That's the lovely thing about Rob's performance, you really see the vulnerability; underneath it all there's this kind of childlike sweetness there for a moment or two. It's a very beautifully layered performance. But that's not working -- and the current Eric Packer takes over. He has to do extreme things to be able to feel anything and to be able to feel excitement and to feel alive. So that's what leads him to the end scene with Paul Giamatti.

There's a really magic shot in the film -- perhaps my favorite moment in his performance, also -- when he's stumbling down the alley with the gun, and he's looking for Paul Giamatti, and there's this particular look that comes over his face in that one moment and you can see his derangement. It was really wonderfully played. (Tink: HELL YES! Happy face, people, happy face!)

Cronenberg: Yeah, it was beautiful. It was the only take that Rob did exactly that on, and I thought, Well that's the take. It was unexpected. I mean, Rob was constantly surprising me, I have to tell you, with things like that. Lovely, lovely things that were spontaneous but dead-on.

Robsessed odds and ends: Tracking Robert Pattinson mentions around the 'nets

Some more Rob bits for you guys! First up is Comic Con news. Sure am going to miss moments like this...

Rob: Making love on the beach
Photobucket

HitFix named the 20 Biggest Stars expected at Comic-Con 2012 and Rob was included in the list:
Robert Pattinson
Name: Robert Pattinson
Comic-Con Virgin: Nope, there are rumors RPattz actually lives at Comic-Con
Promoting: "Breaking Dawn: Part 2"
When: The "Twilight" panel Thursday at 12:45 p.m. in Hall H
Lowdown: Come say goodbye to Edward! Pattinson's annual
awkwardly adorable (or adorably awkward) act gets one last chance to
shine at the Con. Unless he winds up in another big franchise before
next year.
The word is adorkable, HitFix. ;) Rob is one of the biggest stars out there and Metric had some nice things to say about him. The Washington Post posted a video of Metric's Emily Haines talking about her work on Eclipse and Cosmopolis. She mentioned Rob as well saying she met him and said he's a really good guy. They got to hang out at his house too! Lucky musician.

Sticking with a semi-Twilight theme, Breaking Dawn choreographer, Pat Cerasaro, gave an in-depth interview with Broadway World about his profession and his work on projects. Here is when he  mentioned Rob:

PC: Was the dancing in TWILIGHT: BREAKING DAWN all Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, specifically in the wedding scene? That 360 camera shot is so sweeping and beautifully rendered.

PB: Oh, yeah. That was all them one hundred percent. We had rehearsal with them for that scene specifically. Also, there was a Steadicam pass that we did that was actually with Jackson Rathbone and Ashley Greene dancing and they were actually doing swing dancing and flipping around and all of that stuff, believe it or not! [Laughs.] They all had fun - we all had a lot of fun on that scene. I loved working on TWILIGHT.
I honestly would have liked to see the Edward and Bella first dance. I feel like it was a missed moment. Maybe it will be included in that inevitable box set for the films. It will help make up for that loooooong and nauseating dance scene Bella has with a certain other character.

Final news for this round of "odds and ends" comes from Entertainment Weekly. They listed 19 real-life couples and Rob and Kristen were on the list among Brad & Angelina, Paul & Joanne, Spencer & Katharine and more. What was the question? Sizzle or Fizzle? Real-Life Couples On Screen

Photobucket

Well that gif is certainly a sizzle, non? From EW:
Are they dating? No way they're actually dating. Well, maybe they're dating. Yeah, they're probably dating. Let's just say they're dating, okay? (Stewart, in referencing her ''British'' boyfriend — Pattinson is from England — has basically done as much.) Questions about their relationship aside, these two are the undisputed box office champs.
Box Office: The first four Twilight movies grossed $2.5 billion worldwide, an average of $626 million per movie. Later this year, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn—Part 2 will almost certainly push the couple over the $3 billion mark.
Relationship Longevity: Four years, a boatload of smoldering looks, one vamp-human hybrid child, and counting!
Catch you guys next time with the odds and ends!
