Soy española, pero no soporto oir esas voces, que me son tan ajenas.
So, I ALWAYS prefer his own voice; you guys, have made me improve my poor English. Listening to Rob helps a lot! LOL

sounds so weird in Spanish... I speek spanish, but I like it better in English... way much better.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAAAA, Taycob sounds whiny in EVERY language, that's for sure. Said that, my first language is Spanish, but there is nothing like hearing Rob's original voice, even if he uses that American accent..

And Spaniards, please don't hate me but there is a reason the best dubbed movies into Spanish are the ones dubbed in neutral accents.. like Mexicans or Colombians.

Susana said...

MiCh,I think you are a little wrong: standard o neutral Spanish is the one from Spain, not Mexican or Colombian. If you like them more, it´s ok, but this is the truth. Believe me, i know what I´m talking about _ I´m a teacher of Spanish, in Spain.
Good week everyone!!

@MiCh, we don´t hate you at all! :)
I agree with @Su, it´s known that the Spanish dubs are one of the best because the accent isn´t too strong; although Mexican or Colombian accents are great, they´re also significantly stronger, and actually in Spain will not dub any movie with these accents.
Anyway, as I said before, nothing like hearing Rob´s beautiful voice... ahhh, how much robsessed I am!! :)

MICH!!u'r right my first language is also spanish but spaniars have a very strong accent honestly I never watch a movie with spaniars voices I hate it!!! I prefer mexican or argentinian or better subtitles!!!!
there's no reason in the world to change rob's beautiful voice

Spanish dubbed movies SUCK. I agree with you MiCh. Mexican and Colombian dub are not that bad :)
Seriously. Thank God there's always a choice in here.

I really appreciate that you don't hate me.. at all. LOL.

I'm not a philologist or a language teacher, so I don't know which is the "neutral" Castilian accent.
Anyway, I was trying to say that "neutral" dubbing emerged in Mexico back in the 50s and 60s (mainly because of geography), and for technical and financial reasons it was easier for the industry to distribute the material dubbed in Mexico to other countries instead of dubbing for every country. However, they tried to use a "neutral" Castilian that could be understood in most of the countries, avoiding regionalisms and stuff like that.

Now, in general terms, the clearest accents in any country are found among the middle classes so the Mexican dubbing industry used this middle-class accent that for decades, people throughout Latin America and even Spain are being accustomed to listen in hundreds of TV shows and movies and it is familiar to everyone.

Lately, there are more countries doing their own voice overs, the majority trying to respect that "neutrality" of the language.

Personally, I prefer to watch/listen to a movie in its original language.. or with subtitles. If I have no choice, I wish it were dubbed into a neutral Castilian.

Anyway, we're here to drool over a beautiful Brit boy, not to discuss neutral or not neutral accents. Sorry if I offended anyone, I didn't mean to.

We are here to drool over a beautiful Brit man, that is for sure...
And WHAT A MAN, huu??

I must agree with some of you, girls, I prefer to watch a movie in its own language, even if it is in Gozde's turkish (hehe!). I like to listen to the actor's actual voices...
And Rob's voice can make a girl go nuts!! Just think of it in your ears...

im from Puerto RIco..and I tottaly hate those things..It tottaly ruins the perfomance of the actor..I would never watch a movie lika that and I think she spanish from spain sucks im surry but the neutral spanish is way better

Just passing by... but couldn't resist...

OMG, shirtless Rob is all I want ~ well, al'right, it is not "all" I want... That said and I have to add: spanish spoken in Spain sounds so beautifully ~ remember Javier Beltran's accent in Little Ashes?? God, I love that man, too!! I would LOVE (just LOVE) to have Javier and Rob speaking in their own languages in my ears... spanish and english... huaaa!!
teehee...

Anyway, I agree... I'd rather watch films in their original language, whatever they are... Bring on the subtitles!!

I also think that Twiligh dubbed in Spanish from Spain is quite good, but of course I prefer it in English so I can listening their own voices, specially Rob's one n_n

PS: I hate movies dubbed in Mexican Spanish, Colombian Spanish or Argentinian Spanish for example, they have too much accent and sound really bad to me :S And maybe it's because of the Central and South America soap operas they show in Spain, I really really hate them so i hate their pronunciation.
