Italy Shoot Dates Confirmed & Win a Trip to Montepulciano,Walk On Role in New Moon

For UK residents again. (Booooohoooo!)

Heat Magazine has a contest to win a walk in part in New Moon. They also (probably accidentally) confirm the dates for the shoot in Italy . Here is what they say:

The prize includes a stay in a four-star hotel in Florence, as well as 150 Euros a day spending money. You will be permitted to bring a pal along for the trip, but the day on set will be just for you, so make sure you pick someone who won't get too jealous! The winner will leave the UK on 25 May and return from Italy on 28 May.

Check out their page to enter the contest.

Thanks to bbbbryony for the tip :))

P.S.: How hard is the name Montepulciano? I have to triple check every time I make a post then copy paste it :) They couldn't film it in Rome? :))

Happy Tuesday

MTV Article about Rob's new role in "Remember Me"

'Twilight' Star Robert Pattinson Lands Lead Role In 'Remember Me'
Film tells the story of star-crossed lovers plagued by family tragedy.
By Eric Ditzian

While Robert Pattinson is deep into filming the "Twilight" sequel "New Moon" for Summit Entertainment, the studio has tapped the 22-year-old British star for another project about star-crossed lovers.

Pattinson will play the lead role in "Remember Me," a story of a young couple whose burgeoning relationship is complicated by a succession of family tragedies that test their bond, according to ScreenDaily.com. The makers of the film, which had previously been titled "Memoirs," have not yet settled on which actress who will play Pattinson's love interest.

The Robert Pattinson Photo-Biography
Emmy-winning director Allen Coulter ("The Sopranos," "Damages") will direct, and Jenny Lumet, who penned the script for last year's critical darling "Rachel Getting Married," is working on a draft of the screenplay.

After "New Moon" wraps in May, Pattinson will head to New York to shoot "Remember Me," which will finish in time for the actor to begin filming the third "Twilight" movie, "Eclipse," in August.

Summit is staying tight-lipped about plot specifics, but co-chairman and CEO Patrick Wachsberger likened "Remember Me" to "Love Story," the classic 1970 romance starring Ali MacGraw and Ryan O'Neal.

Landing the "Remember Me" lead marks the first major role for Pattinson since he rocketed to public adulation for his portrayal of vampire Edward Cullen in the "Twilight" franchise. He had been signed to appear alongside Rosario Dawson in "Parts per Billion," but was forced to drop out due to his "New Moon" commitment. Pattinson will next be seen in May's "Little Ashes," the Salvador DalĂ biopic he shot before "Twilight." His "Twilight" co-star Kristen Stewart has already landed some meaty roles since the vampire series became a big box-office success, including a turn as real-life rocker Joan Jett in "The Runaways."

Melissa Rosenberg : You can’t have a Twilight without Rob Pattinson

Damn straight you can't! In the next interview can someone PLEASE ask her about Robward sans shirt in Volterra? :)) Thanks!

From E! Online's Mark Malkin:

If Channing Tatum hasn’t read the Twilight books, he may want to start.

At least one very important person in the movie adaptations of Stephenie Meyer’s vampire love story thinks Tatum would be perfect to play bad-boy vampire Riley in Eclipse, the third in the four-book series.

“There’s a very big battle at the end with Riley, and I think Channing would do that so well,” Twilight and New Moon screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, who is currently writing the Eclipse script, told us this weekend at the Los Angeles Times Book Festival benefit for the Writers Guild Foundation.

“And there are some complexities to that character," she adds. "He really is tragic. He’s a puppet for Victoria [bad-girl vampire played by Rachelle Lefevre]. So he has to break your heart a little bit at the end when he realizes that she doesn’t want him. Channing could do that beautifully.”

Rosenberg also confirmed some good news for Robert Pattinson fans...

Even though Edward Cullen may not be in the New Moon novel as much as he is in the others, she promised we’ll be seeing plenty of the Brit actor in the flick, which is currently shooting in Vancouver with director Chris Weitz.

“In the book, he’s actually an enormous presence in [Bella’s] mind,” Rosenberg said. “He’s so present in her mind throughout the entire center of the book, so we really played off that, and it kept him alive in a slightly different way, but fans will feel it’s true to the book. You can’t have a Twilight without Rob Pattinson.”

And Rosenberg says you also can’t have a Twilight movie with anything more adult than a PG-13 rating. She has yet to be hired to write the script for the fourth, Breaking Dawn, but she thinks it’s safe to assume the book’s more graphic violent scenes will be tailored to keep it accessible for Twilight’s teen moviegoing audience.

“Our fans are in the PG age range, and I don’t feel a big necessity to see violence, and to see gore,” Rosenberg said. “I don’t need to see that. This whole series is more about their relationship. It’s not about the gore. I mean, there are some scary and special elements to it, but the series is really about relationships and coming of age and owning one’s power.”

Lainey says:

Robert Pattinson slipped away from Vancouver this weekend for a quick break to LA. Returned back on Sunday night to continue working on New Moon. A few bedroom dream sequences are happening early this week. Then an interesting shoot later on. More details in the coming days.

(Gozde: And then she inserts her speculations here which are sourced by her tushy
)

Back to Rob - soon as he arrived back in Vancouver, he hooked up with Ashley Greene and Rachelle Lefevre at a pub for a few drinks to unwind. (Gozde: the pictures in the below post are from the pub with Ashley)

Nikki is trying to solve the "rocket science" problem to get free beer, Kristen's bro is helping and Rob is cheering them on:

She couldn't solve it, turns to ask Kristen what 3 times 5 is.
Kristen is thinking: "Is she for real? We should've stopped her at 5 beers"
The big guy next to Kristen is VERY interested or is trying to multiply 3x5.
Kristen's bro is over it.

Little Ashes Review

From totalfilm.com by Shonette Laffy who gave the movie 3 STARS. (Gozde: I'm a bit confused it says the review is by Shonette then it's signed by Jane Crowther in the end.)

Were it not for a certain heartthrob du jour appearing in this sultry biopic of Salvador DalĂ’s student days, Little Ashes might have passed quietly under the radar.

But since wrapping on this, leading man Robert Pattinson has become global teen catnip thanks to Twilight, so the crafty release date delay should ensure a built-in audience of quivering schoolgirls looking for their ‘R-Pattz’ fix. (Gozde: Argh! The movie is Rated R so no quivering schoolgirls in the audience.)

They’ll be in for a shock. There’s no dreamy neck-nibbling to be had here – just good honest arthouse gay sex, masturbation and nudity.

Taking memories from DalĂ’s contradicting autobiographies and set against the rise of Fascism, Philippa Goslett’s screenplay weaves an intriguing tale of lust, ambition and liberalism as DalĂ (Pattinson) metamorphasises from shy dandy arriving at art school in ’20s Madrid to his bonkers bug-eyed persona – via an infatuation with fellow student, writer Federico Lorca (Javier Beltrán).

Pattinson proves his range exceeds looking sexy with fangs as he throws himself into the role with credible Spanish accent, pube-flashing and maniacal paint-splattering.

Though he’s confessed to being uneasy acting his gay love scenes, he’s convincing in (relatively tame) mano-a-mano clinches; and by the time he’s poncing about Paris in the trademark DalĂ moustache he’s deliciously repellent and narcissistic – a nation of teenagers will weep.

What’s more, Pattinson is easily matched by newcomer Beltrán whose quiet, nuanced performance provides the smouldering heart of the pair’s bromance. But as with most artist bios, the unique genius of DalĂ is a tricky beast to translate to screen, leaving director Paul Morrison (Wondrous Oblivion) to essentially paint a gorgeous mood piece with stunning images of the artist’s hometown, beautifully shot interpretations of Lorca’s poetry and smoky evocations of Europe’s pre-war avant-garde scene. Muy bonita!

Jane Crowther

Verdict:

Leaving questions dangling, this isn’t the definitive take on DalĂ art-lovers may crave. Still, shot on a shoestring, it’s nevertheless a lush, involving period drama that proves there are other strings to Pattinson’s bow.

This and That

Hi guys,

My gmail has been on lockdown for the past 10 hours. Y'all finally crashed it :) Last check I had 1200 unread emails. Gmail says "unusual activity". Huh? :) Hope they resolve it soon. But until they do, I can't post the Little Ashes Day 19 Update :((

Also the writer of the totalfilm.com interview aka the weird Robert Pattinson interview says the interview is legit. So now, read the interview again and it's quite hilarious :) (Except the part where Bella and Edward's reunion is different. That is NOT funny. I take my Robward very seriously. The hunt teamapplications for Melissa Rosenberg will be up after the movie is out:))

Little Ashes Finds Distribution in Spain

Good news for Spain! Variety reports :

Sorolla scoops up 'Little Ashes'

MALAGA, Spain -- Producer-distributor Sorolla Films has acquired Spanish rights to U.K.-Spain co-production "Little Ashes," toplining Robert Pattinson ("Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," "Twilight").

A portrait of the early life and loves of three Spanish artists -- painter Salvador Dali, filmmaker Luis Bunuel and writer Federico Garcia Lorca, "Ashes" bows in Spain May 8, on about 60 screens.

Launching 2004 as a largely low-profile distrib, Sorolla aims to acquire some four pics a year for the Spanish market.

"We look for social issue film titles with fest profile," Sorolla general manager Antonio Mansilla said at the 12th Malaga Spanish Film Festival.

Like many Spanish distrib outfits, Sorolla has reduced exposure to a depressed local distribution market through entry into pic production, a diversification that has become all the more necessary in the recession.
