Life, seen from a very realistic way, is , as time goes by, a chain of loss, considers de American filmmaker Allen Coulter. According to the director of The Sopranos, there’s people that get strength when they are in grief, and then there’s people who get lost in their pain, without expecting anything or anyone to rescue them.

‘”It’s a movie about life, and it has a love story too. It’s about the relationships we have as human beings with the people around us who we love.
“It’s about loss, how we handle grief, how it affects us. For many people, loss becomes part of who they are, and sometimes in order to overcome a loss we have to let part of ourselves behind as well; these are very rich emotions to explore and they contradict each other.” explains Pattinson, who is also the executive producer for Remember Me.
“Filming in New York was completely insane. The paparazzi are the worst, the whole time they screamed my name trying to get me to look at them so they could take a picture while I was working”.

Do you think this is the character that most resembles who you are in real life so far?

I don’t know. I think you always try to relate to the character, make it your own, and make it feel real. You reconstruct the character and you look for elements that you can relate to the most.
In that case I see things in Tyler that I wish I had.In the movie Tyler gets in fights all the time, and I wish I could throw a punch like him, but I’m not like that at all.
I’ve been beaten up a few times outside bars. As far as rebelling, I always worry because I never went through that phase as a teenager. I’m afraid I’ll become a rebel now, with no aparent reason.

Our chat with the superstar took place at the Regency Hotel in Manhattan. The actor came in the room surrounded by a team of publicists, assistants and body guards.
Downstairs, in Park Avenue, a large group of paparazzi guards the place and tries to snap a picture of him with his “girlfriend” Kristen Stewart, his co-star in Twilight, who he prefers not to even mention.

How do you manage to find peace with all the attention you get?
I spend a lot of time thinking of ways not to be seen, which is messed up, but in the end it’s worth it because if nobody knows where you’re going, they don’t wait outside the restaurant, and you can enjoy life. I’m not saying it’s not cool when people ask for my picture or my autograph. What I can’t stand is when people try to get something out of my image. But I manage to escape sometimes.

I can imagine it’s even harder when you’re dating someone famous like Kristen.
(laughs) It’s hard either way. You have to accept that it’s part of your life, and it’s something that comes with the territory.

Lol.... so, he is not denying dating Kristen ?

What do you girls think ?

I think the last question is totally made up. We all know by now that personal questions are not allowed.
Maybe the journalist asked if it'd be harder dating someone famous, but I'm pretty sure they could not mention Kristen, and I guess he wouldn't have answered the question in that case.

Well, it´s possible...
I ve read also a couple of interviews with german journalists, where pretty much the same happens - they mention Kristen, he laughs or giggles before giving some general vague answer

Maybe he is just sick and tired of denying it anymore ?

Hahaha. That last question is so sneaky.

There's a couple of different interviews floating around where he doesn't deny... There's one specifically that says how they will be apart alot this year because of work and that she's a special part of his life...

Just so you know, some inconsiderate person has posted the link to a leaked streaming of Remember me in the chat box. Is there any way we can remove it? Alot of people haven't seen it yet, including myself since I live in England and we don't get it here for another week. I don't feel right about the fact that so many people are trying to help this film by multiple viewings and word of mouth, but then someone posts the link so people don't even pay to go see it.

Thank you averagegirl for letting us know I'm looking into getting it deleted! ;-)

Hi RPG, do you have a link for that interview where he does not deny the relationship with K? I would love to see it. Thanks!

well we know why it's the last question...they said the "K" word LOL. i wonder if crazy blonde lady, stepped in to STOP the interview. but as always i love his answers.

I am just so darn pleased to see the movie descrbed like this, instead of that insipid and incorrect 'romance' or 'romantic drama'!!! Grrrr!! If only it had been described like this, perhaps more people would have come to appreciate it. I cannot get over how excellent this film is, and how aggravating it is that so many will not see it due to incorrect tagging or cognitively impaired critics!

lallieb said...

I agree with Babs, the last question was made up or he added K's name when he transcribed it.
Otherwise, some publicist would have hit him/her upside the head so fast he wouldn't have known what hit him! LOL
@RPG, that's really news if he said that in an interview. I thought I've read or heard them all.

I guess RPG relates to the Italien interview, which you can find on the side of the pattinsonladies.blogspot.com . I´m not sure that there is any proof that it is official at all.

Sorry my English is too bad!! But the last question, was wrong translate. It could translate like going out with someone famous like Kristen but not necessarily dating.

I love the statements Robert makes about the movie--RM--being about loss and how we handle it.

"For many people loss becomes part of who they are, and sometimes in order to overcome a loss we have to let part of ourselves behind as well; these are very rich emotions to explore and they contradict each other."

However, overcoming loss may not be the point after all, and I think this would make for an interesting discussion with him.
The journalists miss golden opportunities when he drops these nuggets and they leave them behind and pursue silly things.

Yeah, yeah I read so many of you are really so very interested in his relationship with Kristen. At this point, I honestly don't get the interest, when Robert has so many other way more interesting things to say. You see, the superficial interviewers know that Robsten interest is huge and they go after that, missing Robert's old soul and his fine mind.

If this is a direct quote it is another one of his gems, his profound take on things. It blows me away.

Solas: 'cognitively impaired critics' for sure. And also emotionally deformed.

In the theatre today two twentysomething women were speaking to each other at the end of the film. One was consoling the other, who couldnt't stop crying.
'Robert's not dead,' she said. 'He's got three other movies to do.' [obviously in the know].
She had to keep repeating it. When they left the theatre they shouted, 'goodbye, Robert'.

jessegirl, I would love to know more about Rob's old soul. I love it when he gives candid interviews like in Details. Rob is very intelligent and funny. The interviewers bring up Rob's personal life because (1) people want to know if Rob is available to date and (2) they want to be able to get some dirt on him to use later. Sad but true.

jessegirl said...

jmm: You're right, of course, about why the interviewers do what they do. It's just sad, that's all.
