Daniel Cudmore Talks about Beating up Robert Pattinson

Brazilian Twilight fansite FoForks.com.br interviewed Daniel Cudmore, who plays Felix in New Moon. You may recognize him as the one who beats the crud out of Edward in the latest clips. In the word association, he won’t say who is favorite castmate is, but he does admit that beating up Rob/Edward was really fun!

Here's the part where he talks about Robward
Ok, so now about that terrible, horrendous, no-words-for-it scene when you beat the shizz out of The Sparkle One in New Moon, how did you feel about beating up our most beloved creature known as Edward?

How did you sleep that night knowing that thousand of hearts had been broken and that now you are the hero of those Twilight widows? (FYI, those who girlfriends and wives were stolen by Mr. Edward and wanted to beat him up themselves lol)
Haha, it was a fun fight scene to work on and Robert really liked doing as much of the fight as he could, I slept like a baby afterwards. We’ll see how everyone feels after the movie comes out, and if they don’t like my character, then i did a good job.

This is really a cool part.

I'm quite impressed with RP's facial expressions in these scenes. Quite a leap in the acting maturity. Surely, it was a challenge to be able to emote the myriad of emotions Edward was supposed to be feeling: intense protectiveness? fear for Bella? anger? decisiveness? giving all his vampiric strength,(veins! the veins!), even though he was supposed to have lost his will to live until Bella showed up? and when Edward was overpowered, Rob emoted the ugly face of defeat, surrender and death-in-Edward’s-eyes. Emphasizing the near death with the “Oh, no!” widening/ lengthening crack was brilliant.

As I mentioned before,
I first saw this clip from another blog a few days ago, and I thought, huh?, never-before-seen clip?

M. Sheen's "understated" and soft-spoken Aro was quite impressive. KS's facial expression after Aro says "Felix.." was very good.

I thought the blink-of-an-eye-shoving/defending-Bella scene was excellent. I thought it showed intensity and validity to "My job is to protect you" (my woman). I was itching to see the slowmo of that scene! (I did not know that it was a flipshove!) And thanks to Goz's film caps, now I know it was a flipshove, and it was not Rob who did it. (Excuse me, but Rob has graceful pr0ndigits, not sausagey ones.) And those looked like KS's bum dimples. Rob’s stunt double is quite a burly one. It must have been easy to lift and flip KS, albeit slowly.

It seems that CW is an excellent acting coach, too.

Thank you!

This is the first clear picture of Edward's face cracking I've seen since the clip aired... "ouch"

The theatre is going to go mad during this scene!

It certainly looks as though this film is going to be a 'step up' from Twilight doesn't it? I agree as well about Rob's facial expressions in this scene...he's done a very good job and Chris Weitz seems to have got more out of him than Catherine Hardwicke did which has got to be good!
