I think the best part of this trailer is that he is the STAR of the movie. His name is "above the title" as they say. There's no mention of Pierce Brosnan, Chris Cooper, Emilie de Raven (sp?), it's just ROBERT PATTINSON!!!!!!!!!

And people kept quiet about it too, 'Course that was before the internet. I got a feeling if you don't want to know about this film, you best not be wandering around the net in the weeks coming up. Some asshole is gonna spill the WHOLE THING!
Robis just too big and anything about him makes news and as we get closer to the opening day, I think the anticipation is going to start building and not just from Rob sites, but from movie sites, gossip sites, everything.

you know ladies i've often wondered this...about Robert and the romance dept? did his dad teach him how to treat women ? you know was it an imperative around the pattinson house to treat women with dignity and respect or was it something Rob came up with just because he's Rob? I mean one can learn from our parents how to be, no pun intended and then when we move out of our parents homes and get out into the real world we develop our own state of being...sooooooo...is our Robert the way he is b/c of his Papa or did he decide a long time ago this is how I'm going to treat women and he did say he's NEVER been in love, nor has he gotten his heart broken...so again is he just saying that wanting to keep his feelings his own and not share that much with us? I mean you could make a living just trying to figure this man out...his Dad is still married to his Mum sooooo the Pattinson charm must be a family tradition handed down to our Robbie P! what dya think?
lmjabara- I think having two older sisters and a mom helped too. They say guys who grow up in a more female dominate household tend to be a bit more sensitive to the female in their lives. They have seen over the years how bad the guys in their sister life have treated them. So they end up most times not wanting to emulate those things. I mean, they see and hear the talks and arguments and what happens when their sister heart gets broken. And they see how the tears that their sister has shed for some stupid guy. So for some it makes them want to be and do better.
Now about what Rob said back in 2008 about never being in love and never having his heart broken. Well I remember when he was asked about Nina(ex gf and 3 year relationship)and he didn't want to talk about why they broke up. It sounded like he was heartbroken to me and to everybody else. I mean 3 years, come on? Yeah right, he has never been in love? I like you, think he was just trying to keep his feelings to himself. I think it was still a bit to fresh in his mind back in 2008 to go back there and dig up those feelings.

Why would anyone (especially a beautiful young man who could virtually have his pick) stay in a relationship for 3 years if his heart wasn't involved? Also, I said something else about this very thing on another thread tonight (god knows where) about quoting him from things he said a year ago. Things change in a year and something tells me that there have definitely been a few changes in his life this past year and no, I'm not just referring to his career ascent.
Another quote from a year ago? The him not liking (or wanting) kids thing for instance. Now? He wants to be a young daddy. As for how he was raised...
Obviously, not in a broken home. He's the product of a marriage that has lasted for over 30 years AND like you said, he was raised with sisters (older ones I'm assuming who helped take care of him and that he looked up to) and therefore I would think there would have some sensitivity where girls are concerned. I also remember seeing photos of him last summer walking with Lizzy (I think) and holding her hand. I thought that was a very sweet and loving gesture between adult siblings.
But you'd have to be blind to not see that he was very well raised.

Just got to giggle sometimes when people say, 'no, Nina was just his roomate' OR 'no, he and Kristen are just friends.' (never mind that they're sharing hotel suits and just spend a couple of non-working months together)
Some just cannot or will not accept this guy with a woman. Any woman it seems. Why? I really, really don't get it.
When he gets married and if a photo slips out of the bride and groom, you can bet your hat that some will say...'no, he's not married. Yeah the kid comment came from the Twilight Tuesday MTV vids. I saw it and that comment was totally taken out of context. It was a little girl asking if he liked kids. She was asking him if he would marry a kid. That's why he said "I hate kids". Of course, Rob is not a pedophile. And that comment just spread like wild fire. People are so lazy and never go back to the source and see for themselves why someone made a certain comment. I mean you are on the internet already and it only takes a few minutes to look something up.

The way the interviewer made it sound was like Summit sprang for the suite to be used by whomever whenever they were in town and you just had to check with everyone else in the cast to see if it was open to use when you were in town next! What? Like a time share? lOL! I can't believe the movie company's thought process like we would believe this or maybe it's true I don't know but hey I'm a little angsty today...
homewith my daughter who has finally gotten the damn flu virus I had 2 wks ago! and I don't think I got the pto to cover it! can't take her anywhere cause people don't want us getting them sick! so my mood is already stresed and thinking about the movie and what it's going to reveal is stressful...a li'l bi't...so...am thinking too much today. need to go work for a different health system who won't make you use your pto when the holidays approach...yeah they make us use pto to cover christmas and new years and all the other holidays most companies spring for and let you accumulate your pto to use for days like this when your kids sick or you're sick or you have a Dr.'s appt. this one sucks so largely it's not even funny...turn over is impressive by anyones standards. Way back when Rob said he had never been in love, it may have been true. Having a relationship with someone, sleeping with and living with someone, even loving and caring for someone, doesn't necessarily mean being in love. They might have been in lust, or one might have loved, or whatever. As for not wanting to talk about why they broke up-- I think Rob is a gentleman and does not want to talk about deeply personal things, especially regarding another person, and the break-up might have been painful or uncomfortable not because he was in love, but becasue it might have gone badly--he did say more than once that all of his relationships end up with women yelling at himself.
But that was a while ago. It was not within the time period of his being with Kristen.
As for how he treats women and how he was raised-- I remember the clip of his pouring water for Emma Watson, of his being a gentleman, but I also remember hearing him say he treated people badly (I think he said he was a dick?)before Harry Potter and that he learned from that experience, and that cast, how to treat people better.
It could be, having older sisters and mother doting on himself, that he was used to being adored and catered to (although I don't think that was totally the case as he got older; he says his mother yells at him a lot and calls him a jerk). It was when he left home and saw other manners and mannerism, and maybe realized he wasn't the 'prince' anymore (and look what we have done about fixing THAT!!!), that he saw that people were seeing him as possibly rough and rude and ill-mannered, that he had to learn better how to be a gentleman, on his own. Even when one (especially boys!!!) learn good manners at home, they seem to reject that for a while and have to (Hopefully, for everyone's sake!) develop their own sense of good manners, of decency, treating others well.
