Not sure about the makeup, making him look old and no personality. He looks million times better when he looks like just rolled out of bed. :)
He is such a beautiful and sensitive man. The audience connects to him from inside easily. No need to make him frown so much to look sad. From the trailer the breakup scene looks too much acting but way less powerful than the book.
But it is not Rob's fault, never his fault... :)
