skiiing in france and switzerland? Oh. my. God. How many cars did his Dad sell?!!!! He must've been a great american car importer! Luxury car import business must've been really big in the 80's! in 1980 I was 17 and getting out of my parents house for the first time. Shortly thereafter I came back home a miserable failure at one thing or another and went to cosmetology school and about the time that MTV came on the air and was actually about playing music videos, remember video killed the radio star by the Buggles?, well I was graduating from cosmetology school and getting my diploma made me feel like I was doing something *HUGE*!!!! Mean while in the UK, Mr. Pattinson is purchasing his first fleet of luxury cars and his wife is getting the girls ready for a luxury life. Never even guessing, I'm guessing, that soon Mr. Pattinson would get his wish for a boy! They had to have had a great life and it seems Robert is very appreciative of what his parents were able to do for him and with him and he's just the greatest guy because of that as well as just being born with a great sunny disposition and sweet demeanor. Skiing in Geneva and Switzerland! God help me I was watching James Bond do that and thinking how wonderful that would be just to be there in the mountains alone and listening to the beautiful silence. and here Rob was doing that on a whim with his family! Almost makes me feel bad about my life and what I've accomplished thus far. Not nearly what he has by the time he was in his teens.! ???? *sniffs for the lost time and wasted years* I'm outta here. anyway love you Robert and you looked especially handsome in this interview. Rested and wide eyed and happy.

See! this is why I never grow tired of seeing Rob in interviews.. always so well spoken. His answers are full of introspect. LOVED what he added about "Vampires being all powerful but how they are completely dependent on humans for their survival" My mind has never traveled down that road.
I look at him and I know he's thinking about something interesting.. and that is what I find so incredibly appealing about the man.

Skiing in France is not that big a deal, expense-wise. There are plenty of cheap places to stay for families and students. It is a common school trip for secondary school students in fact(my son is going next week).
I can't imagine Rob staying up on skis though.

yeah have to agree with you tess I love Rob in this interview about the way he looked at vamps in general on the whole he does think alot about issues in the saga and not only that but the fact that he said he hates it when other actors will just recycle the same old interview over and over again...he said he can't remember what he said 5 min. after he said it...so true when you're sincere about your comments and what you're talking about ....especially small talk who can remember? Love this man sooooooo much he is sooooo worthy of a bunch of obsessed fan if ever there was a worthy male star! I love his unfiltered answers and how he really thinks about what he's about to say and the most interesting thought provoking answer he's got will come out. Every way he's been thinking about it. Rob is so cool...no wonder he's kept the same friends since school. It would be so worthwhile to keep a friend like Rob so much more worthy than say a family member! I've got a few of those.
