I am stil so annoyed about the voting. Rob fans on twitter are calling it a russian attack. It certainly looks like it. What a joke. They never should have extended the poll. Sorry for the rant.

I thought the idea of Rob being Spiderman was debunked a while back.
As for the poll, apparently they extended it to get more hits on their site. I wrote them a letter letting them know I would be letting other people and magazines know that their site is not worth visiting, since the poll was apparently fixed; the voting was supposed to have ended and at that time, Rob was the winner, people were not able to get the site to work to register their vote at times, and there is a possibility of the Russian votes being bot generated.

@Solas, that is a good explanation, there is no way Ron enedep up behind like 5000 votes, we could only vote every 10 minutes and you are right sometimes I could not get to vote because the site would not let me .I am very upset now!!

There is a place in the hello magazine site where you can contact them and sent e-mails about the competition. I just sent mine. We were allowed to vote every ten minutes but at times we could not even vote because the site would not let me. They should have stuck to a date and not change it afterward and there is no way that HL would have ended up wining when he was not even in the lead on the 20th, something went terrible wrong here.
So annoyed about the Hello vote. Apparently the Russians admitted in the F/B comments that they were cheating. Anyway, looks like Hello got what they deserved - Hugh Laurie as Most Attractive Man. They're going to be the laughing stock of the gossip rags when they put him on their front cover.
Hello are going to regret extending the vote. When Rob fans refuse to participate in their sham vote for 2010 they won't get a quarter of the hits they got this year.
Rob is still the Most Attractive Man around, regardless of what Hello says.
I wonder if Rob turned down an interview with Hello, or if one of their papz was mad about not getting a shot, or if a fansite such as this made fun of their innaccurate reporting and out-of-date or totally fictional articles, and so they were determined, when they saw him winnning, to not allow that to happen.
As for the Russians, I don't know--did Rob not do a tour there and they are miffed? They definitely were making it like a Russia vs US victory, totally nothing to do with who is the most attractive man.

yeah..i'm shocked. but we did our best and the numbers speak for themselves. there was one man calling himself "tzar", he used a lot of accts and did something else i can't understand. when he came back last night and said only "hi" to his friends from "HL" gang (yes, i'm mad) i realized we were losing. and he wasn't only the one to cheat. i'll shut up cuz i tried to do the same but how many accts i could open..he must be a programmer. as i said it was like fans vs fans, they mostly even don't know who Rob is. on the other hand there were many Russian girls voting for Rob.
we must get over, it's not the first time we're losing. i have not forgotten Latifah's parody on Edward Cullen on the People Choice Award. someone found it funny, i had a goose bump and felt sorry for Taylor Lautner too. anyway, i need one day to relax and get over something doesn't worth to be upset with. whenever it comes to people i love i take everything too much seriously. just wanted to cheer everyone up and to say once more this site is amazing! have a good day everyone xoxo.

OK, without trying to sound like a spoilt child having a tantrum (failing though I know ! lol ) I've emailed Hello and reminded them of their statement on the Hello vote page about 'checking for inconsistencies'. As far as I believe, Hugh Laurie gaining THAT many votes over a short period of time is a bloody great big inconsistency ! Anyway, I have to ever see another bloody captcha thingy ever again it will be too soon (although you need to do one for the Hello contact page :rofl: )

FWIW - My opinion on the whole HELLO debacle is "No biggie". A) Rob is the most beautiful man to walk the face of the earth, poll or no poll. B) I can guarantee you HE doesn't give a shit, so why should WE?
Solas - the captcha 'thingy' sorry I have no clue what it's really called (lol) is where you need to type in the four characters onto the screen to submit your vote. It's SUPPOSED to stop automating voting (ie computer bot) but there is software now that can be devised to bypass this captcha requirement.
That Elle photo - the last one - looks like it's flipped......his nose doesn't look right........why do they flip pictures? Doesn't make sense.
