Welcome to another edition of "Things That Make You Go Hmmmmmm"!



Dior is killing us. KILLING US. We're all about to be shipped off to Crazytown behind our DiorRob dreams.



Here's the latest....

Dior tweeted yesterday another tortuous tease:

Can you feel what's in the air? A ripple of restlessness...a wave of excitement...But what's it all about? You'll know the answer soon enough, so try to be patient! And you won't have to wait for long, for that patience will be rewarded tomorrow, right here on DiorMag

That was just enough to jumpstart our DiorRob engines since the last rumors said May/June was THE TIME but our patience is wearing thin.



So we waited. And speculated. I was examining the little collage of pics and google searching the stairs at the Waldorf Astoria in NYC. Then this morning is was revealed that the Dior secret was their Resort 2014 collection....



Sigh. People vowed to never believe in DiorRob again. Called it a myth. Urban legend! I would have SO loved to join that team except for a couple of things.



Yes. Rob. It's not even the initial rumors that keep my hope alive. It's Rob! There are secrets in those eyes. DiorRob is brewing in that smile! AND there's this....

 

That's Rob outside the Waldorf Astoria in NYC back in December. Fans reported he was there filming a commercial, saying Rob was surprised they found him, snapping Dean in the process which also proved Rob was working....UGH.

How can you let DiorRob dreams die when we have Rob dodging questions and popping up mysteriously at the Waldorf to work?? Now the whole point of this edition of "Things That Make You Go Hmmmmmm" is because of the following tweets, the first two were back from December.

"It took me a while today to decide on a pic to use because there were so many great ones to choose from. Some of Rob looking handsome, others with Rob being his usual adorkable self and making funny faces but I settled on this one because of the look on his face and in his eyes, like he can’t quite believe what’s happening! The Cosmo Premiere at Cannes was such a proud moment for him (and for us) and I feel like this pic sums it all up. He owned that Cannes Red Carpet!"



Tink:

Rob totally looks like he'd be fun to work with, eat with, laugh with, wash a car with, plant veggies with, throw a ball with, grocery shop with, (fill in the blank) with....you get the point.



From an interview with a German publication, the translated excerpt when Carey Mulligan mentions Rob and Hold On To Me:

Reporter: Playing with Robert Pattinson in a thriller is a still current project?  

Carey Mulligan: Yes, we haven't lose hope yet. So far, this has not worked, but I find the script is fantastic and working with Rob would be great fun. 'Hold On To Me' is an independent production, and as usual, there are many obstacles to overcome until funding/financing is secure.

Carey last told Josh Horowitz from MTV that the film is hanging tight on the back burner. The window of opportunity must have passed with Rob's second half of 2013 looking full but fingers crossed for later. We'll keep you posted!

CannesRob can't be in Cannes this year because he's going to be here on the blog! Day 1 of our CannesRob fest starts with that charming man in the striped polo dazzling us all. Kate and I (AND Kat!) clearly had something in common...

"I feel like a kid in a candy store today. Every pic I look at is better than the next and I’ve changed my choice 3 times already LOL. Cannes Rob 2009 was a sight to behold. Do you remember the madness of the photographers shouting at him? And through it all he stayed smiling and posing like the pro that he is. I love this photoshoot so like I said really hard to choose a pic. In the end I just closed my eyes and randomly chose one. I ended up with this one and I love it ;-)"

Robert Pattinson Will NOT Be Attending Cannes This Year Report EOnline

Mark Malkin is reporting for EOnline that the rumours about Robert Pattinson attending the Cannes film festival are NOT true.
If there are any more reports/news on this we'll be sure to update you!
