I think Mr. Stewart didn't want to pegion hole his daughter to Robert Pattinson the same way Vanessa Hudgens is to Zac Efron, or even Amanda Seyfried to Dominic Cooper who are dating now. So cliche! Good call dad! Women in films have more terminal careers than men. I think he was being protective of his daughter being type cast especially since "Adventureland" is coming out.
He's right of course. Vanessa Hudgens is more known as Zac Efron's arm candy than anything else and is having a hard time getting cast for other roles. And Amanda might get stuck in musicals with Dominic like Vanessa to Zac.
Honestly, it was refreshing to see Robert with Amanda for a change. It was a breath of fresh air which felt the same when I saw Kristen Stewart with Jessse Eisenberg at Sundance.
Robert and Kristen will be together in Japan for "Twilight" promo, then "New Moon", "Eclipse", and according to Robert, even "Breaking Dawn". That's a whole lot of icing to choke on.
