Actually, it's gonna be worse (than any of the Twilight films) because they're shooting this thing on the streets of New York. God help 'em.
Someone, somewhere on one of these many threads wondered about Tyler's wardrobe. Well, I'm guessing since Rob is playing a character that they've written to fit him like a glove, I imagine he'll be wearing clothes he would normally wear and we know they've tweaked the dialouge to make it sound the way Rob actually speaks AND...yes, Tyler is a chain smoker.
If they could just eliminate the madness surrounding the shoot, this could probably be a great experience for Rob. Oh, I think he'll make the best of it, but it's not easy to do this with rabid packs of jackals (both papps and fans) following your every move. I imagine with the daily barrage of photos were gonna get, we'll probably have the entire film in still photo form by the end of the shoot. Sorry babe.

I promise darling, this is gonna calm down one day. It will. No one can stay this hot forever. You just gotta wrap the Twilight series and then maybe take a break for a year of so. Just disappear. Let it all die down. Twilight will keep you a star for the next decade, if you take a break, you won't lose your place in line. And something tells me in a few years down the road, you're gonna need one.

Nikola, well said. I hope Rob heeds your advice and takes a break. He needs a little down time, and that may not sound like a good idea to him. But I believe you're right about keeping his "place in line"....there is no doubt that Twilight will keep him a star. I just hope he's taking care of himself.

I must be honest, I got a real problem with all of this shit. There's fan time and then there's work time and this is HIS WORK TIME. Fans have no business being there. I know, I know, it's a public street and there's nothing they can do about it.
But honest to god, I do believe that one day (sooner than later), the paps and the fans are gonna drive him into hiding. Once his obligations are met and his film career firmly established (in 2-3 years, no more than 5), he's gonna disappear on us. No pics, no interviews, NO NOTHING.
And the fans will have no one but themselves to blame.

Another thought...
I think what's happening with Rob here is going to be so much worse than what happened with Leonardo DiCaprio and Titanic. That was just one film and the tumult surrounding Leo lasted about a year. Rob's got 3 maybe 4 (if they split Breaking Dawn up) more Twilght films and the insantity should continue through late 2011/maybe early 2012. And in 1997 (when Titanic hit), the internet (a pop culture beast that MUST be fed 24/7) and the out of control paparazzi wasn't what it is today.
For all of my drooling over him, it
still amazes me how he brings my protective instincts ROARING to the surface. And knowing that he's frightened and paranoid to boot just makes my heart ache for him.
Some might say, 'well he went into acting, he sought fame and he knew what he was getting into.' Sure, he sought a certain level of fame, but no one NO ONE signed up for this level of insanity. Kristen used two words to describe some of this. She called the fans "psychotic" and she said they "covet" him and she was ABSOLUTELY correct on both counts.
And 'covet' is an EXTREMELY strong word. It's more than just 'want.' It's something deeper, even darker even. I just can't stop feeling that someone could get hurt in all of this. And if it's him, I'm gonna lose it.

Nikola, I agree, he's working and even if he is on a break, you don't bum rush him and tackle him. I feel embarrass for these fans. Summit really has no idea what they are dealing with. I was surprised that the set was not closed off completely for a good few blocks.
Rob will be fine. He's seen this before and has four bodyguards around him. He said he plans to take a break at 28 to go to college and I believe his timetable.
Luffscruffs~I just looked at the guys in my college photos and Rob looks more mature now at 23 than those guys (ages 18-22). I'm betting when "New Moon" comes out, we'll see a marked difference from "Twilight" and by the time "Breaking Dawn" is done, it will really be startling. He definitely doesn't look like 17-year-old Edward Cullen. NOT THAT I'M COMPLAINING!

LittleBear- Believe me, I was joking..The last time I crossed the border was 2 years ago to adopt my D'Arcy (siamese cat) from New Hampshire. If I could cross the border and adopt Rob and bring him home maybe I'd consider applying for that passport, but he's over 21 and not available. To stand around and gawk..it just ain't worth it...;) Even if it is Rob. I'm getting better views right here.
Btw, I went through all the sites today, saw hundreds of photos and was wondering..does Rob ever take a bad picture? I didn't see one!
