This comment kinda sounds like one of those things he just up and says when he's been sitting in front of interviewers forever and is getting bored and one of them asks him something stupid :)
Agreed Christine... this quick response is so British too...when he's tired of answering the same ol' questions over and over again and his wacky humor kicks in... he can be so funny when he's tired, but he never stops being charming and polite.
comparing the different interviews I can only repeat myself: the sillier the questions the more trivial are his answers, and you see it in every little move he makes...
he ridicules the girl - my impression is - he doesn't like her and he is playing a role, laughing about himself and her...
OK, that's kinda scary. Esp when he looks down and to the left, and goes off into his own lil world there for a second. I really don't think he just made that up on the spot because he was bored. The space-out WAS kinda creepy. LOL

How difficult must this be to know that whatever you say is going to be interpreted 5 ways from Sunday. He has to be thinking all the time to get those clever non answers out there. Even when he is super tired his brain still functions. Those little gray cells must be something else.

Imagine if everything EVERYTHING you said (and you were being forced into a position where you had to say a lot) was being disected, analyzed, scrutinized, interpreted and judged by millions and millions of misinformed people...Wouldn't that eventually drive you out of your goddamn mind? I'm serious. Wouldn't it? Wouldn't you be afraid to open your mouth? I'd be terrified.
That's why I think that once he's out from under this Twilight contract (and all of this promotion), that he's gonna clam up. He's gonna become a very RECLUSIVE star. We'll be lucky to get a MAJOR interview out of him every 5-10 years and even the talk show appearances are gonna go waaaaaay down. And the photo shoots will disappear almost entirely. Actors usually only do those in the beginning of their careers anyway.
Guess we best enjoy now. 'Cause it's coming to a screeching halt.
