Unbound Captives to Start Shooting in 2009

Unbound Captives set is going to be too beautiful to handle:

According to this article about Ashok Amritraj (producer of Unbound Captives), the movie will be shot at the end of 2009 and will be released in 2011. I feel like I'm aging trying to follow Rob's every move, he must be exhausted doing the "moving" :)

From Deccan Herald:
Amritraj right now is excited about his 100th production, Unbound Captives, which will be shot towards 2009-end and ready for release by early 2011. “It will be a big epic in the scale of Laurence of Arabia, and Stowe’s first effort at direction. John Toll of Braveheart and Last Samurai will be the cinematographer. It’s probably the biggest in scope and scale among all my films, and will have a budget of 80-90 million dollars,” he says.

A word of caution
The film will be shot “between” New Mexico and New Zealand as the subject demands shoots in different seasons.

Wow...his plate is full. So they film this after he's done with Eclipse. If that's the case, when are they filming Breaking Dawn? I understood that that movie will be out around Christmas time next year. Am I wrong?

Poor Rob needs a long vacation!

I think I might need one, too. In New Mexico.

I'm sure the gossip rags will try to cook up some more crap about Rob's ex Nina in New Zealand.

I wish this man luck.
Please don't exhaust yourself Rob, we need you!
Nonetheless, I am excited for this movie...

OMG!! He will be busy for the rest of the year, plus all the premiers & promos...

Will he be around when RM comes out?

NZ Rob??? Pics will be hard to get...oh no, we better stock up now!

I have a very sneeky feeling that we are not only looking at one "HOT" guy every day but that we are also looking at one "SMART" cookie. His schedule may sound crazy to us but I believe he is taking full advantage of his popularity which I cannot blame him at all. "Hit while the iron is hot" sort of thing!

It works out well for all of us!

Barb, I totally agree with you. Nobody can blame him for taking advange of this moment. Better for us! We have Rob for a long time.

By just looking at his schedule, you can sense how driven he is. He's created this schedule for himself!

He's going to need some support along the way. I hope he takes it.

Soooo, does this mean Breaking Dawn & Bel Ami will be in 2010?

I don't think he's one of the leads in Unbound Captives, I think he's a supporting actor. That would probably mean he has a lot less filming to do.

I can't wait to see more from him. He did an awesome job in Little Ashes and, though the haunted airman was not my type of movie, he was lovely to watch (even when he was being psychotic). Still waiting for How to Be... so guess I'll go watch Twilight again :)

Rob is so versatile....even in photos, he looks different from every angle. I can wait to see all of thse roles he will be portraying :)

Barb, I agree, he's def a smart cookie :) May as well work now, while the opportunity has presented itself. However, I don't think he needs to worry about his popularity waning any time soon :) Yay for US!

Oh, I wanted to say (and got sidetracked ,as usual!), the banner is BEAUTIFUL! And Kate, great job last week! Thanks for all of your hard work, especially with the time difference! You rock :)

im so sad!i thought they were shooting in argentina!..im so disappointed! =(

What's that old saying,"Strike while the iron is hot"?

Well Rob is HOT HOT HOT. His schedule is probably about the same or less than a lot of actors. There was a thing about Johnny Depp schedule a few days ago. He has 17 movies that are either completed or will be worked on this year.He would look at Rob schedule and think boy you have it easy.LOL

This movie is going to be huge and possibly put Rob in a category all is own. The producer said,"It will be a big epic in that scale of Laurence of Arabia". With a 80-90 million dollar budget. And I can't wait to see set pics with him looking like the sexy beast he is. Rawrr!! They will shoot it between New Mexico and New Zealand. Beautiful!!

Rob has a supporting role in UC so he won't have to be on the set the whole time. I think it starts filming around the time that NM comes out in theaters so I imagine he'll be doing double duty of promoting and filming (though he won't do nearly the amount of promo that Kristen and Taylor will unfortunately.)

Like a sweet little bear cub, he's going to need a long winter's nap at some point. (I suspect he could use one right now as well.)

I always worry that we won't be seeing him when he does different movies and then....RM and NM in Italy....
I bet it won't matter where in the world he is,we'll get to see him. He's the man loved around the world now.

I'm excited for him having the busy schedule and being able to choose what he wants to do. Yay Rob!

If they are filming in New Zealand, I hope they leave that until January. I don't think we will have dried out quite enough to look like we are in "western" country by December. Winter has been rather cruel this year.

Plus, I would like to see Rob get home for London for Christmas. The man needs to go home for a holiday.

Yes we do need to take a long vacation. Poor Thing, works so hard. But I guess he loves it.

Yup, very smart cookie! He needs those other films to establish himself. He really needs to hit that 'male' market and he knows it.
He really has to get past that "Teen Idol" label.

I think his schedule is pretty standard for a working actor. You snooze, you lose. He said in an interview that he screwed up his big chance after Harry Potter and he learned his lesson, he doesn't want to screw up again. Which is why he claims he doesn't want a serious relationship right now, that would be very hard to travel if you're never home. Isn't that why he and Nina broke up? Her career picked up for a while and his acting did at the same time.

No, Rob may be Adorkable, but dumb? No damn way!

Ooops...maintain if you;re traveling all the time...(thinking faster then I type again..)

his part must not be that big because i believe ashley greene said they go straight from filming eclipse to promoting new moon, have the holidays off and then going straight into filming breaking dawn and then by that time it will be time for eclipse to come out. maybe im wrong

keti said...

He is a busy man. Its all confusing. I also heard he is shooting BD right after Eclipse.

Im sure Rob is doing ok, he might be busy but he is young and I'm guessing he is loving all these great roles he is getting his hands on.

This is no worse than other "in-demand" actors' hectic schedules of recent years, such as Johnny Depp or Cate Blanchett, so in the end Rob will be a busy boy and we'll reap the benefits!

Rob in New Zealand brings him closer to Australia, yay!

I'm soo much looking forward to this movie. As AnnaD said before, I love both Robert and Hugh and looking at 2 of my 3 favourite actors (the 3rd is Robert Downey Jr) for probably more than 2 hours really is great.

However, I don't think that Rob has that busy schedule, as he only will be in UC for approx. 1/3 of the movie. So I think he will have some time to recover (and to promote NM and hopefully RM) after filming EC. (Maybe he will have a break after UC, too and they will again start filming BD in spring?)

BTW, I always thought that Johnny Depp is one of the hardest working guys in Hollywood. When you look at IMDB, no other actor seems to have a schedule like he always has.

However, it's the best for us fans to get a Robert movie to watch at the cinema at max. every 6 months :p!

Really, it isn't that tough a schedule when you compare it to some other jobs. Many of us have done very busy 5 day work weeks, a couple of weeks off in the summer. My DH went years working every single STAT holiday because he did the early morning news shift, he wrote, edited, organized the reporters, helped them through their reports, edited them, did the headlines, read the majors with no breaks, a straight 7 hour shift. Got up at 3:30am to get to work on time, drove through storms and blizzards when everyone else stayed home because someone had to be there, right? Many jobs are like that. Rob is young, full of energy and seems to thrive on it. It's about time we treated him with the respect he deserves as a responsible grown up, he's not whining, but we certainly do a lot of that for him. I remember being young like that and loving my job, I couldn't wait to get to it and emerse myself, and Rob looks and sounds like he feels that way too.
More power to him! He's a good guy and I'm proud to call myself a fan of this young man.

Sorry, just had to say it...I hope I didn't offend.

He seems busy, but his schedule is just filled up like other working actors.
Actors like Johnny Depp have so many future projects that it makes me laugh because they will never be able to do them all. But Depp is one of a kind~
The lead actors working on TV shows work all year through and have like 8 weeks off in which they can try to fit a movie if they can, that means no time off at all.
I'm really glad to see him work so much, I believe that it might help him not be depressed like last year after doing nothing but twilight promo.

I hope that he will have some more non-twilight projects lining up afterwards. A small break would be good of course, but nothing on one's schedule can't be that great for actors.

Barb said...

Yeah, you guys make a good point that the schedule is not that busy. I started counting up the hours I work and GOD it's between 65 and 70 hours a week and I only get 4 weeks vacation (which I know is good). But I don't deal with people following me around all the time...Yay for me!

I'm looking forward to this movie with Rob and Hugh!! This is an ultimate for me for I love love Hugh Jackman !!.

Such a nice down to earth actor..very nice to his fans and ordinary people. There's always a picture of him hugging the driver or a hand shake for the valet!..always with a smile!

Also..a very different type of character for Rob. Twilight might be
good for him...but more serious and mature films should solidify his name in the industry.
More LUCK to you RobP!! Enjoy fame money and success...BUT always keep your feet on the ground! :))
You bet the whole PATTINSON clan is MIGHTY PROUD! :)
