Asking Rob to stretch the show out by ad-libbing is like asking him to go shopping for new clothes! Not his forte. Aw, love him, so adorable! Too bad the teenies couldn't stop shrieking long enough to actually listen to anything he had to say!

While backstage at the Teen Choice Awards, Access’ Shaun Robinson caught up with the cast of “Twilight” as Robert Pattinson walks by his co-stars without saying a word. What did Taylor Lautner have to say about that?
It seems like some people from the press don't take too kindly to not getting the interview they really wanted: I totally think she thought she would get him to stop thanks to the rest of the cast when he didn't anywhere else...
I read somewhere that his management along with summit would have Rob-interviews only with prearranged outlets and prescreened questions. I wonder if it's the case.
I am affraid this tactic will make him ultimately look haughty... Not that I believe that it's the case.
He was about to stop and was steered away by his manager... This makes me a bit worried about his management's choices.
Is it just me or is everyone not really liking Rob's manager Nick? He really was pushing Rob both past Access Hollywood gal and when going into the SUV. Hmm, don't really care if him and Kristen are together, it's so getting old already. But why is it that Rob's "people" are always around and none of the other actors "people" are? And this whole thing with only Summit approved questions, Rob's spontaneous answers are what makes him so adorable, now if they are already rehearsed, WTF?!?!?
That last video was 3 minutes and 41 seconds of non-stop screaming. Those girls need to stop screaming for just one minute to actually hear what he's saying.

I thought the video made the access hollywood girl look pretty bitchy. Rob was all goofy and friendly, and not at all haughty.
It was obviously unfair of her to try and spin it like he was ignoring them, and it did not make her look good, imo.
Bottom line is, Rob is so in demand right now, he'll never be able to please everyone...

I actually like the fact that Rob's management is there with him. They seem to support him and take interest in his carrier at least. Considering that he isn't really an established A-lister but almost an "overnight-sensation" (OK, over-year), I'm sure their advice and support can be positive.
I just wonder if all this prescreening is really that much of a good idea. Unpredictable Rob is the one we learned to love.
@ anna: pre-screened questions does not mean pre-screened answers... I'm sure we can count on Rob to go off the script and say whatever crap he wants to say ;)

I agree that the woman made a big deal about it even though she was pushing her luck by trying to get him to come over...
So yeah, saying once "OH my god, did you see that" was already not very professional, but spending 30 seconds complaining about it and almost trying to get the twilight cast to agree with her was childish.
But the people who went to the NM set had already not gotten any interview either (from Kristen and Rob, as well as Dakota and Ashley, but I guess they didn't care about those), and some already sounded bitchy about it.
Robs manager Nick seems to be a nice and reasonable guy. (Rob once said that meanwhile he's good friends both with Nick and his lady publicist.) I'm wondering if Nick wanted to "protect" Rob somehow.
And I'm with Anna F - I'm glad Nick is (always) with him at the awards.

Well, I hope you guys are right about his manager. I know that Rob has said that he's friends with his manager and publicist, and I've even defended his manager in previous posts but I guess it was just the way that he was pushing Rob past the interviewer. Though the Access Hollywood gal was a little pushy in assuming that he would stop and chit-chat and making a big deal out of it afterwards. Rob did stop, smile, and wave. Poor guy, what a crazy roller-coaster ride he's on!! Good for Taylor for defending him!

Yeah that too, call me crazy, but when i say those balcony pictures, i thought they can't be fucking each other, if I was fucking Rob i woul be singing in that balcony, and Kristen was with that here "everything sucks" usual face. I can't understand if they are together or they aren't!!!
I read several reports of the "journalist delegation" visiting the NM set (back in May I think) and one of them reported, that when asking Stephenie for an interview, she apologetically replied she's not allowed to do any. Sounds like the same situation here.
I know that many of you believe that their business isn't ours, and maybe it isnt, but is coz of WE FANS, they got almost all those awards, WE went to see twilight, and WE are going to see NEW MOON, they don't wana talk about, fine but att leat show some resepct to the fans, and stop fucking with our minds!!

And I'm not sure exactly how they're fucking with our minds? Yeah, they're not giving individual interviews or talking about their personal lives, but I'm pretty sure they said all that needed saying about NM during Comic-Con. And that's all we can reasonably ask for, really.

I heard a rumor (i don't know if is true) when Nick, Rob and britpack went to dinner, and papz show up, was Nick who called them, and last nigh him pushing Rob and Kristen to the same care added fuel to those rumors and and with his experience he knows that, i mean he want that, he knows the consequences!!

We do not know about the kind of contractual stipulations, Rob has to deal with. I assume, Nick is trying to assist as far as possible. I'm pretty sure that besides advancing Robs career he (and Stephanie) try to protect Rob as good as they can. (I personally have the feeling that in this case Summit are the "bad ones" and not Nick and Robs's publicist.)

It wouldnt surprsie me...the way Nick made Rob pose for the photos that night at dinner. I said to a friend at the time that I was annoyed (putting nicely!) that Nick did that. He said something like...just let them take one. Guess we'll never know but from where I sat at the other end of a papp video, it didn't look good for Nick. Only my opinion!
As for the speculation...I guess...to a lot of us..Robsten might be true (I'm still trying to deal with that...but I'm processing it...slowly!)It's not like it has been offically released by the media as such (lots of gossip mags but no official release)so there is still benefits in it to the likes of managers. I actually believe Summit probably want it kept 'hush'...imagine if Edward & Bella break up in real life before thay have even released Breaking Dawn!

I am just watching the ET interview with the Twilight cast after the awards and they are all making fun of Rob because he isn't there - Kristen said he was probably in the bathroom playing with his hair. Youtube have some stuff too - mostly stills of Rob looking gorgeous...lol

While Rob was in NYC a few weeks ago he went to dinner with Tomstu, Nick, I think Marcus & some girl (sorry. without going back to check I cant recall exactly). The pappz showed up at the restaurant & when Rob walked out they were in full form. Rob told one of them to find a new job bc he wasn’t very intelligent (or something along those lines).
Now if I was a loyal Rob fan I guess I wouldn’t know all this bc I wouldn’t have watched the pappz vids...but confession time...I did! I'm sure you have seen the shots without even realizing what you were watching. It’s also the dinner where he was accused of not 'tipping' enough; you may have heard that story.
Anyway, out the front of the restaurant while waiting for a taxi, pappz were hassling Rob & Nick told him to let them take a photo...even tho in my mind Rob had made it very clear he did not want his photo taken...photos were taken & Rob stood there looking very unimpressed & uncomfortable. It wasn’t nice.

Orion - one of my favourite videos is one by biel I think - the pics of Rob to song Candy Man - I love it and him...think it is somewhere on Robsessed but also on robpattgirls blog...always make me smile...just while your waiting for Teen Choice stuff - the videos of it are pretty bad - too much screaming, blurry and can't hear much of Rob's delectable voice...

I saw that and it is probably one of the only times I have heard Rob say something rude - you're not very good at it - I do recall he said to someone else that they couldn't even speak English properly - some stupid papp so he deserved it anyway. Rob is a sweetheart and usually has the patience of Job but even he gets pushed to the limit sometimes. I'm just glad there are nice stories out there like Tinkrbel that show he is a perfect gentleman and generous with his fans when they respect him and treat him like a human being instead of an object to grab and pull - no respect!!

Jacqui - the only fan encounters I have had were with the Lord of the Rings people in 2003 - managed to stay sane clicking photos while my daughter got their autographs and a guy we were with chatted with them esp Dominic Monaghan and Sean Astin, Liv Tyler - I did shake hands with David Wenham - I love him - but we were there to see Orlando and his special smile for my daughter made my eyes stream and damn I couldn't get the pics of Elijah Wood as I couldn't see ...lol then to make it worse I called Orlando's mum over and chatted with her and was still wiping my eyes..guess she thought I was all overcome but I think it was mostly just staring for so long and not blinking afraid I'd miss it!! lol
Anyway enough rambling - if I had the chance to meet Rob I hope I'd have enough control to be polite and considerate towards him and hopefully get that special smile as my reward. A girl can dream can't she? :-))

Sorry! I know I keep saying I'm going to bed..i do need to...it's 1.30am & I have to work in the morning! Better for Rob to do no interviews, or pre-arranged, cause everybody would be lining up round the block and he'd never get out of the place! And there would so many more with their 'feelings hurt' if they didn't get the chat. ;)

I really do hope that his management and Summit refrains from that tactic because it won't go down well with the journalists and the fans. Journalists really, really hate it to have their questions prescreened (and yes, they are tempted to get even for this lateron, writing the article). Not to mention that Rob is loved by the fans for his spontaneous unpredictable answers.
I think Summit and his management are just trying to keep the focus off of Rob's personal life. They can only control so much and everything else has been spinning out of control. They are trying to do damage control and put the focus back on his career. Although, managers,agents, and publicist are known to call the paps to give their client exposure. Whether it's for a personal reason to show that the actor/actress is/isn't connected with someone or for a professional move to push them out into the public's eye. It's all about money in the end for them. Buy this brand(actor/actress).The actor, studio, and management all need to get paid.
Rob's personal life is just to much of a big draw right now. And until something or someone bigger comes along to distract people. Everyone will continue to focus on that alone.Which is sad because he is a great actor with so much potential. But hopefully his next few movies can put the focus back to where it belongs...his acting career.

If you do call a cab in advance, by the way, it can get worse which is why many don't.
Some may feel Rob owes the fans because they 'made' him, but we are also the reason why there is less access these days. It's a double-edged sword.
