Chicago... I think CW is going to do so much better then CH on just about everything... just by seeing the pics coming from the New Moon set.
They simply had to paint abs
first they had to paint him pale, undead colour and it makes body look flat, not well defined,
so
then they painted what was missing underneath the pale - shadows that cause body look 3D

I agree that it seems CW is going to do better that CH, but then for NM the studio has given more money and all the support, this movie is the star of the studio, while for Twilight I bet that while they were filming they must had struggled a lot; I´m not a fan of CH, and I think his style is not useful for "blockbuster" kind of film, even though she is good for the independent work she has done.
ANd I´m still wondering why the discussion of painted sixpack keeps calling so much attention, hahaa... this is Rob!! were we really expecting a six pack (like Tylor) from him?.. I wasn´t!! but I do like a lot what I see .... now I´m giddy and I would love to see that torso shirtless with out make up... grrrr
Mechev, maybe in "Remember Me" we'll see Rob's bod with no makeup. I actually can't wait to see his face with no makeup and no contacts.

The abs - I still say they are helped with make up, but it's obvious there's some there to work with. His back and shoulders are the best parts, however. And the happy trail.
NM vs. Twilight: No comparison, IMO. Yes, CH had a smaller budget, but she was WAAAY to hung up on technical things like location (which she wasted a lot of money on, instead of shooting somewhere like VC) and how they LOOKED, versus, showing getting her leads to show any real emotion. That was my biggest issue with Twilight - I felt like K was flat most of the time, and it was hard to buy that they had an undying love.
I think that while CW has a bigger budget, it's still not huge - he's just used it a lot better. And it's evident from the pics from yesterday that he is doing a much better job of getting some true emotions out of his leads. You can tell they are less stiff and worried about how they are looking, and are just going with it... I think that in all areas, NM is gonna blow Twilight away.
Sophia, i dont think those are moles, i think they are markers for special effects(the shimmer) they are too evenly spapced and they are even on his knuckles.and all i want to add is THUD...panties are gone even the ones i'm not wearing
Mechevpao~I'm actually a Catherine Hardwicke fan because we all probably wouldn't be here if not for all of the decisions she made! Kudos to Catherine. For Chris, it is much easier to deliver when you've got beaucoup bucks $$$$.
Have read through all of the comments and I certainly agree with Lizalou and Stacy. Can't help but think there is a difference in the age and experience of posters who worship a R/K fantasy and those who do not. Older, wiser babes like myself tend to see through all of the gray areas. No disrespect to younger posters. It is just a fact of life that there is no substitute for experience.
I think Kristen is an OK actress with a bright future. I do wonder about her parents letting her quit school at 16. :( Has she even gotten her GED, yet? Rob, on the other hand, has a stellar education and is light years ahead intellectually. He has said when this is over, at age 28 he plans to go to college. If you want to find a deal-breaker long term between these two, this is it, IMHO.
Michael Angarano seems like a great guy with excellent prospects and I think Kristen is lucky to have him.

Hi there:) I agree with you on the age/shipper thing. I think most of them (especially the hardcore, rude ones) fall into that category. And you're right, it's not disrespect, just life experience.
I am a fan of CH for having the guts to go for Twilight and cast Rob (lol) but I think she made a lot of bad choices ... but then again, hindsight is always 20/20, and I'm sure a bigger budget allows a person to think a lot more clearly.
I also totally agree with what you said about Kristin ... and I didn't realize her parents let her quit school. Wow ... yeah, you can tell (even tho Rob jokes about grades or whatever) that he's very well read and smart, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him pursue college at some point.

Oohh of course Chicago girl, I´m a fan of her because of her choices in the casting, it is true that we wouldn’t be here talking if it weren’t because of that.
You made some good points about K/R, I don´t care really to much about it, but I do have to point your interesting remark, that Rob says he would go back to college, I don´t know if he will be able to do that, even though actors like Natalie Portman had done it while keeping a high profile career.. I do notice how much Rob mentions that he worries if he is not working, because he didn’t go to college, that is another difference to many celebrity, even when he says he was bad at school, we can see he cares about education a lot.
Ohh interesting sit they are getting Monika, I noticed that they are sitting front row, better sits than Ben Stiller or Cameron Diaz.. Guess all the main attention will be on them as they are the stars of MTV audience. I hope that if Rob is sitting so close to the stage is because he will be picking up many awards, most important breakthrough

In fact, even though he missed a term at school, he ended up with A's and B's on his final exams at a very difficult school. His oldest sister is in marketing and went to the London School of Economics. Natalie Portman, Brooke Shields and Jodie Foster were all lucky to go to college when they were Rob's age now. I strongly believe there will be a point when Rob takes a break to go to school. In five years he'll be tired and have so many films under his belt and could risk being "over-exposed" careerwise so a break could be a good idea. I think this is a wise plan.

i don't think he'll ever go back to school. he said in an interview that when he was thinking about quitting acting and doing music that he'd 'already missed university', implying he thought he was too old, that's the way i took it.
he also said he didn't like school. my brother is just like him. ridiculously smart, but enjoys reading, doing on his own, not being told what to do...
he's super smart and can learn on his own...

Harrodians is a school with lots of really smart kids, maths is there -as they say- one of most important subjects.
This means his school was rather high level demanding environment with eager students
even if he had been really good (don't remember his A's or B's) he could think that he were so so, because of the rest of students

I can completely see him needing a break in a few years, and while he might think he's past going to school now, who knows what he'll think in a few years. I'm sure his perspective on a lot of things will change by then.

I think that if Rob wants to go back to school, he will leave acting for awhile. I think he wants to do a lot of things in his life besides acting, and although he's loving it now, I don't for a second think he wouldn't walk away from it to do something else he wants to do. He has spoken very lacksidasically about his career at times. Rob often strikes me as someone who will only stick with something or someone as long as it creates a buzz inside him.

These shots will not be as good in the actual movie if the sparkle effects get added on but I suppose Bella grabs him just before he steps into the sunlight doesn't she so hopefully the schparkles won't cover him up too much.
The only thing I don't like in these pics are the strange woollen trousers (pants if you're American!) that they have put Edward in, they could have put him in a nice pair of Abercrombie jeans or something?
It's like Edward's woollen peacoat in Twilight, he looks stupid in it!
