Crazy, ITA about Rob's interpretation vs. Catherine's. I think they sort of reached a compromise: Edward got to be a little dark, but without scaring the 10-year-olds who begged mom to take 'em to the movie. When you read Midnight Sun, Rob's performance makes SO much more sense. What some thought was kind of exaggerated acting was just Rob going with the extreme inner turmoil that Stephanie wrote for Edward. I think the next couple of movies will fare better with male directors, though the feminist in me just threw up a little there.; April 28, 2009 at 11:59 PM
