Fame is such an odd thing, Mrs. R. It creates a false intimacy that really can't move beyond the constraints of, well, reality! We feel like we "know" Rob because we see bits and pieces of him in interviews, and we see/hear the art he produces. But we can't "know" him in any true sense any more than he can know the throngs of people who admire who he is and what he does.

I think Rob realized that crushing burden of mass adoration in Italy, when he said he felt like crying because he was so overwhelmed by the energy being thrown at him. I think he's come to terms with it now, but it must've been quite a shock at first, especially when he didn't see it coming.

He has developed that "game face" in dealing with the paps, as that video showed; I just hope that it doesn't become more and more natural to him. His vulnerability is one of his most attractive assets. I'd hate to see him become hardened and jaded.

"Pleasantries" have become a staple of my life, as I'm an advertising salesperson. I used to be painfully shy until I went away to college; then I came out of my shell. No one who knows me now would ever describe me as shy. This is why I'm not worried about Rob dealing with the seedier side of fame. He may be shy, but he's no wilting lily. He's gonna be just fine.

I am just rambling here and being contradictory and making no sense.

I watched the Vanity Fair vid and then for shits and giggles, read some of the teeny comments posted below. "Look how in love they look in this video!" Yeah, that was part of the shoot people. Thanks for the link, WinWin! Reading it now. They'll definitely have to rush Breaking Dawn, or Rob will turn 24 and be Too Much Man for Edward!

BD has its flaws (mainly the sucky ending, IMO, except for Bella letting Edward inside her mind...that made me cry;) however, BD also has lots of spectacular (hinted at anyway) sex and general nudity, which will of course have to be toned down so the tweens can get in the theater. *yawn* But there is also the Rosemary's Baby scene, which will have to be edited bigtime. No one, and I mean NO ONE, wants to see Edward eat his own baby out of its umbilical sac.

Yeah, in that interview you really can't take your eyes off his hands. Or his eyes. His eyes are enormous, which is unusual for blue eyes. And the eyelashes...so unfair. Women would kill for them.
